PROPERTY INFO:
LA SERENITE
You walk down to Minitas in the morning with a towel under your arm, get the kids in the water before anyone else is on the sand, and circle back for breakfast already on the table by the time everyone's hungry. La Serenite is the four-bedroom villa to book when the beach is the point of the trip — eight of you, kids running between rooms, an included cook handling all the meals.
Lunch happens outside under the old shade tree — the kind of canopy that turns the hottest hour of the day into the easiest one, plates passed around, kids in and out of the water. Afternoons split between a swim and a soak, and the loungers fill up with whoever isn't moving. By sundown everyone's back in the heated water — long day, somebody opens a bottle, the crickets start.
The resort runs the rest of the day. The walk to the sand at Minitas is short enough that the towel is still wet when you get home, and a cart ride takes you to the pro shops for a tee time on Teeth of the Dog — ranked the Caribbean's top course by the World Golf Awards. Altos de Chavón is the dinner you don't have to plan: cobblestone alleys, music drifting from the amphitheatre, a long walk back. La Serenite is the villa to book when you want a beach trip that comes with shade — quiet at home, easy when you go out, the meals handled.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: How close is Minitas Beach from La Serenite?
The villa sits 0.6 miles from Minitas — close enough to walk down with a towel, common to take a cart, and easy to send the kids back after lunch when they want a second round. Once at Minitas, chairs and watersports are waiting on the sand, the beach club kitchen runs lunch service, and the resort beach team handles towels and loungers through your resort registration. For families, the proximity is the main reason to choose La Serenite over villas deeper inside the resort.
Q: What makes the outdoor space at La Serenite distinctive?
The back garden is built around a centennial shade tree whose canopy keeps the pool deck workable through the middle of the day, which is why most guests end up living outside rather than retreating indoors for the heat. The pool sits in the same enclosed garden alongside a heated jacuzzi, so the family splits naturally between a swim and a soak. Mature palms and bougainvillea hedges close the space off on every side, giving it a quieter, more private feel than the open lawns of other villas in Los Lagos.
Q: Is La Serenite a good fit for families with young children?
It's one of the more naturally family-fit villas in the resort. The villa is single-story, so there are no stairs between rooms, and the four bedrooms split for parents, grandparents, and kids across the floor plan. The garden is fully enclosed by mature hedges and trees, the pool sits in the centre of that enclosure, and Minitas Beach is close enough that families with little ones can be on the sand in the time it takes to find sunscreen. The included cook handles all the meals, and cribs, high chairs, and other baby equipment can be added through the concierge.
Q: What does the cook prepare during a stay at La Serenite?
The cook prepares all the meals at the villa — breakfast, lunch, and dinner — and adapts the menu to the group. Most families settle into a pattern by day two: breakfast inside or out depending on the heat, lunch under the shade tree by the pool, and a more formal dinner indoors under the cathedral beam ceiling. Dietary preferences, food allergies, and kid-specific menus are easy to accommodate when shared at arrival, and grocery shopping is managed by the villa team via the concierge.
