About this property
Exclusive Villa 18th century, with pool. Fine winery in Chianti central Tuscany
AN UNFORGETTABLE TUSCAN RETREAT
Villa Petrolo is an enchanting 18th‑century manor house, originally designed by Massimiliano Soldani—renowned architect, sculptor, and medalist of the Medici Court—as his private residence. Today, this historic jewel welcomes guests for exclusive holidays, weddings, and special events.
Set within over one hectare of private gardens, the villa offers an atmosphere of refined serenity. Century‑old cypresses, holm‑oak woods, a charming fountain, and sweeping views create the perfect backdrop for unforgettable gatherings. Inside, more than 800 sqm (8,100 sqft) of living space showcase antique furnishings, classic art, grand fireplaces, and the warm elegance of traditional Tuscan “landed gentry” style.
Space & Comfort for Large Groups
The property accommodates 17 to 33 guests in 16 bedrooms (double, twin, single, and triple options) and 12 bathrooms, making it ideal for multi‑family vacations, retreats, and celebrations.
Ground & First Floors (up to 17 guests): 9 ensuite bedrooms, expansive living rooms, two fully equipped kitchens, and a magnificent hall with a Murano crystal chandelier.
Second Floor (up to 16 additional guests): 7 more bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, perfect for larger groups or flexible arrangements.
Exclusive Amenities
Enjoy everything you need for a relaxing and entertaining stay:
Private swimming pool (6×12 m)
Daily cleaning service (4 hours)
High speed internet Wi‑Fi, Sky TV, billiard table, ping‑pong
Private tennis court
Cozy fireplaces for winter stays
GASTRONOMY & WINE EXPERIENCE
As part of your stay, you’ll have access to a curated selection of Petrolo’s renowned wines, organic extra‑virgin olive oil, and honey. You may also request delicious meals—full board, half board, or occasional dinners—prepared by the family’s own cooks in authentic Tuscan style.
The Petrolo Estate & Winery
Nestled on the sun‑kissed hills overlooking the Valdarno Superiore, Tenuta di Petrolo is a landscape rich in history and natural beauty. Vineyards, olive groves, and oak forests surround the estate, dominated by the iconic Tower of Galatrona, whose origins trace back to Etruscan and Roman times. Several of Petrolo’s celebrated wines, including the “Torrione” and “Galatrona,” take their names from this ancient landmark.
The villa also faces the Romanesque Pieve of Galatrona, home to precious Renaissance works by Giovanni della Robbia. Three small lakes on the property offer peaceful spots for walking or fishing.
Wine Cellar Visits
Guided tours and tastings can be arranged, allowing guests to discover Petrolo’s prestigious wine production firsthand.
ADDITIONAL ACCOMMODATIONS
Beyond the villa, the estate offers 5 beautiful independent farmhouses—Bòggina, Costa, Vigna, Feriale I & II—raising total capacity to 79 guests, ideal for large events or multi‑group stays.
