A great place to stay. Right on the beach, easy beach access from the condo through the security gate. A surfers paradise with storage lockers for your boards. Zipper’s restaurant is short walk down the beach for lunch or dinner. Our host David was readily available by phone if needed. Thanks for the relaxing vacation. We would stay here again!

Easy place to spend a few days

B403 is a perfect location to wake up to the sunrise, have a coffee on the deck or by the pool, and plan your adventure to the east cape, San Jose del Cabo or west. The people at Las Olas condos are always very nice to others. Very relaxing time!

Easy to work with, met our expectations. Clearer directions to the property would be helpful with landmarks such as the 7 Seas restaurant. Very hard to find in the dark!

Amazing

This is a amazing place. I suggest open the drapes and attaching them to the hooks. You will not be disappointed with the view. Bed is very comfortable and the street noise disappears.

Getaway to San Jose del Cabo @ Palmilla

Excellent beach location and close to downtown San Jose del Cabo and Palmilla area restaurants and amenities. View is outstanding, nice pool for use, and beach access make it wonderful. The location is a little noisy as it abuts Mexico HWY 1, and the property is in good shape, but could use some touch ups to make it excellent. Close to the SJD airport (25 minutes), and grocery shopping nearby as the unit has a full kitchen and good accessory appliances (e.g. blender, coffee grinder, toaster, etc.) Unit owner is very responsive and delightful to work with!

Surf paradise

Perfect spot for a surf getaway. Location is everything and David's condo sits right on one of the best surf spots in the area. Most days start with a surf and a stop by the pool on the way back to the room. Sip coffee from the balcony and watch the surfers go by. Walk down the beach to visit nearby restaurant's and repeat! Inside A/C worked excellent when we needed to escape the heard, unit was very clean and updated. Fast internet, comfy bed, excellent shower. No Complaints! We will be back soon!

What A View!

We loved our stay in this condo! The owner David was great to work with and answered every question we had. The view and sound of the ocean was fantastic. We watched surfers and saw whales in the distance from our patio. It was nice to have Zippers and Mama Mia's within walking distance for food and drinks. You will want a rental car to get around and we loved the freedom to drive anywhere we wanted. The tours with Cabo Adventures were great! We saw lots of whales, went sailing and snorkeling, and rented UTV's to cruise around the desert on a guided tour. Highly recommend all around! Thanks David!

Las Olas Getaway

We were very happy with this one bedroom condo at Las Olas. We had no problems with check in and no need to call the property manager during our stay. The condo was very clean and well equipped. The owner David was excellent at communication as well. Las Olas 403B is the perfect place to stay if you love being right on the ocean and watching beautiful sunrises. We have stayed at other condo complexes in the area , but find Las Olas to be a friendlier complex. Unfortunately our stay was cut short because of COVID-19 but we would not hesitate to rent this unit again

Perfect place for a surf or beach getaway

Very nice and well-provisioned place, right in front of one of the best and most consistent waves in the area. Beautiful sunrise views from the balcony and great amenities on the property including pool, hot tubs, outdoor showers, lounge areas and surfboard lockers. There is a good surf rental shop (Costa Azul surf shop) right across the street and two beachfront restaurants next to the building (we preferred Pescadito Break over Zippers). The kitchen is nice and we cooked and ate many meals at the apartment. It is a short drive to the airport, and a rental car is definitely helpful at this location. There are limited options within walking distance, although by car there are many shops and restaurants only a few minutes away. Parking at the building is easy, free and secure. The highway is fairly close and you can occasionally hear a loud truck coming down the hill, but the noise was never excessive or disruptive for us. Most of the time the sound of the waves is all you notice. Dave was an excellent host - very accommodating with great communication. This is an ideal spot if surfing or beach time is a priority. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing week with good waves almost every day, even though we were at the tail end of the surf season. I would happily stay here again.

Great location on the beach

The suite is clean, cozy and well equipped although some items need to be updated. Communication with David was very good. The views up and down the beach are fantastic and the sunrises spectacular. We saw many whales right from the balcony. The pool area is very nice and well maintained. There are always lounge chairs available. The beach area out front is a favourite for surfers and one of the best in the area for swimming. A car, in our view, is a must. There is a restaurant (Zippers) within walking distance, but to see most of San Jose del Cabo's attractions, a vehicle is required. There is plenty to see and do plus great restaurants in downtown San Jose. Thursday nights and the Art Walk is the most fun. Food shopping; La Comer and Fresko, are very good and a short drive. The one downside to Las Olas is the proximity to the highway, which is quite noisy. The bedroom is on the back of the unit, closest to the highway so we used earplugs and tried to tune it out. It is not a show stopper for us. In contrast, Las Olas (the waves) are a wonderful sound. All in all, a great vacation spot and recommended.

We had an amazing two months at this unit right on the beach. The unit was very comfortable and a great view of the surfing beach. The host was very responsive before and during our trip. We booked about six months ahead of time and the host sent us photos periodically of nearby sites or upgrades to the condo as he knew we had never been to the area before. We enjoyed the satellite tv and the other amenities that the host left for us to use. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and the security guards were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool and daily walks along the beach. It was wonderful to see whales and birds from the deck. We took advantage of the 5 restaurants that were within easy walking distance of the condo but we also did a lot of our own cooking in the well equipped kitchen.

Los Olas in December

We stayed between Christmas and New Years Eve. Weather was nice but we enjoy a bit warmer. New Year’s Eve was eventful, could find something to do for all ages. Location of the condo was nice and comfortable for the two of us. Owner was really easygoing and really nice. We would stay again in the future.

Great and loud

The condo is ideally situated beach-wise. It’s right on one of the nicest surf spots in Los Cabos, Playa Costa Azul, or Zippers beach. However, it’s also just a few yards from Highway One, which is loud and busy 24 hours a day. There is a good, funky and friendly on-the-beach restaurant, Zippers, a few yards up the beach. A couple of convenience stores are nearby for beer and snacks, but other services, except for the Costa Azul Surf Shop, are farther away. Given the heat and humidity, walking distance isn’t far. The condo is functional, except for the sketchy TV service, which we never got to work, but there is wi-fi, so we streamed shows on our iPads. The condo is not luxuriously appointed at all, and lacked such things as toilet paper, detergent for the washer and other things visitors are unlikely to bring, necessitating a trip to the super Mercado or Costco , where it is difficult to obtain a week’s worth of detergent and the like. The furniture is a bit worn, but comfortable. The balcony has a great view of the beach and ocean, except that, being on the fourth floor, the palms have grown to obsure fourth floor views quite a bit. The palm tops do give some privacy and relief from the sun. We had a fine time and plan to come again soon.

View and proximity to the ocean were incredible!

The five star rating is based on the fact that everything about the property and surroundings listed on VRBO were completely accurate. This is a smallish set of condominiums that prevents crowds, and loud parties. With the limited number of people staying there you end up getting to know many of the folks which is a really nice benefit. You gain much insight and helpful tips about the area. It was a very safe and comfortable place to stay. The security personnel were always available and were very helpful providing information, or getting you a taxi. You couldn’t find a place that was closer to the ocean. The views were breathtaking and we left the patio doors open to hear the ocean all day and night. The entire facility grounds, pool and hot tubs were always clean. They were never crowded. My wife paddle boarded on the ocean a number of times and found it to be pretty smooth, especially in the mornings. Whales were seen on a number of days. The owner provided any information needed and was very responsive. If you like what you see in the pictures and the description of the property you will not be surprised or disappointed by anything. I wouldn’t hesitate to return!!

Fantastic for One - Great Location

The condo at Las Olas was ideal for my needs with a grill, well-appointed kitchen, washer & dryer in the unit. As a single female safety is paramount and this location was great! Gated complex with easy access to Zipper's restaurant, 1.5 miles from La Comer (supermarket), and quick access to the beach.

No bad day to Las Olas

Nous y avons passé les mois de mars et avril 2017. Le complexe est parfaitement situé pour les amateurs de surf. Le condo contient tout ce que vous aurez besoin pour un court ou long séjour. Il y a un arrêt de bus à environ 1000 pieds de marche, pratique pour faire les commissions et pour les sorties. Il faut quand même savoir que ce service se termine à 22:00hres. Le complexe est d'une propreté irréprochable, semblable à un resort de bonne qualité. Possibilité de faire de longues marches d'un côté ou de l'autre de la plage, et de la plongée en apnée pratiquement devant. Le seul ombre au tableau, c'est le bruit de la route, demeurant en campagne, nous n'étions pas préparé à cela, on a donc eu besoin d'une période d'adaptation. Le propriétaire est sensible à nos demandes, ce qui est rassurant lorsque l'on se trouve à l'étranger. Nous y retournerons l'an prochain.

A surfers delight

It was an amazing place to stay, overlooking the Sea of Cortez and only a few steps away from three surf breaks. I loved staying there, everything was perfect, the view from the balcony, sounds of the waves, the pool, and the other guest from Las Olas. It is everything I wanted, it was sad when I had to leave, but I will return. David and Jackie are gracious hosts.

Why they chose this property

It's all about the sun and the surf. Then came the people who live and work there - they are like family. Then came Art Walk, cool restaurants and bars. In reality though it is about sitting at the seawall with your cup of coffee, watching the sunrise & whales breach or having a glass of wine in the cool of the evening while the surf breaks at your feet.
