Cozy Big Bear Lake family cottage, at the foot of Ski Summit!

Escape from the real world to this family cabin! Bear Foot Cottage is a quaint and peaceful two story cabin that has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths with a outdoor spa centrally located in Big Bear Lake. Fully furnished and pleasantly decorated for your vacation stay with granite countertops, and knotty pine. The property has a fully stocked kitchen with a dishwasher and microwave plus a dining table and counter bar seating. The cozy living room has a 40 inch flat screen TV/DVD with ROKU, wonderful gas fireplace, and WiFi internet connection. The 1st bedroom is on the first floor with a queen bed and a TV/DVD. A hallway bath and laundry is available on the lower level. There is a convenient mudroom for stashing your snow gear which gives you access out the backyard to a fantastic outdoor spa and charcoal BBQ in a fenced backyard for privacy. The 2nd bedroom is upstairs and has 2 twin beds and TV/DVD. The 3rd bedroom upstairs has queen bed. A full bathroom is on hand in the upstairs hallway for your convince. This cabin sits on large level lot that is walking distance to Meadow Park & Swim Beach (grass and picnic areas, tennis courts, sand volleyball court, play structure and swings) and you can walk to the ski shuttle pick for either ski resort or some of the local restaurants. Less than 5 minutes to Big Bear Lake Village area for shopping or more entertainment for your group. Level cement parking for up to 3 vehicles. No pets, no smoking allowed and the garage is not available during your stay. No one under 25 years of age may rent the cabin and the renter must be on sight during the entire stay. 1400 sq.

Great cabin!

Beautiful and clean cabin close to everything! Just blocks from the village with lots of shopping and restaurants. Ski slope is within minutes. The owners are also extremely helpful and attentive.

Perfect for our family weekend in Big Bear

This property is in a perfect location for both mountain ski resorts. It has a very warm cabin feel about it, well stocked, and very clean. The hot tub in the backyard is very private and seems fairly new. All information is accurate on the listing. We enjoyed our stay here immensely! Highly recommend!

A dream mountain cabin retreat

My husband and I spent 1 month at this property in Big Bear Lake and couldn't have loved it more! The cabin is the epitome of cozy -- the fireplace, hot tub and kitchen made for the perfect evenings after a long ski day. The location is only 1 mile from Summit Mountain which made accessing the mountain extremely easy -- I even walked to/from the slopes a few days to avoid the parking traffic. Noel and Dave were terrific and very responsive hosts -- we definitely hope to return for another trip!

Perfect Cabin - Don't hesitate. BOOK IT.

This cabin was perfect in every way. Dave & Noel were great host. So kind and friendly from the moment I booked until the day we left. It was located in a perfect location, very close to everything. The slopes were just down the street. The cabin was very well stocked!! Kitchen had everything plus more that I needed. It was super cozy and provided a great place for my family to unwind. The hot tub was great. We loved the outdoor space. The only thing that was needed was more TIME for us to enjoy there. :)

Great Family Stay

We were a group of four adults and two kids. We all had a great time in Dave and Noel's cabin. Staying there felt like we were borrowing a friend's cabin. Noel was very helpful in checking in and understanding some of the local STR rules. We were lucky to go when there was a nice layer of snow and the kids got to enjoy playing in the front and back yard. The adults got to enjoy the kitchen and the jacuzzi. In the evenings we selected some movies from the vast selection of DVDs and all sat next to the fireplace watching some older movies. I would highly recommend booking this cabin and I would definitely consider staying here again.

Perfect little getaway!

Our family had such a great time at this property. Our first impression was "This is really clean!" It didn't have any weird smells that you sometimes get in a vacation rental. The kitchen was very open and updated as were the bathrooms. We were worried at first that the upstairs rooms would be cold since there isn't central heating but there were space heaters and it was perfect! Not cold at all! The location was PERFECT! super close to Snow Summit and the downtown area. The owners were quick to respond and very nice! We will definitely come back. Thank you!

Birthday weekend rental

Every year I go to big bear for my birthday. This year I decided to go last minute and booked this rental almost the day before. Dave and Noel were extremely accommodating and answering all my lady minute questions on the go. The check in process was quick and easy! I love bring able to go straight to the cabin! I was a bit concerned that the cabin would be too small for a group of 6 but it actually was quite perfect. The rooms are very comfortable. Each closet had a heater if you wanted and extra blankets. I was a bit worried about the beds from the review that said they were hard. I actually found them all to be soft. They must have been upgraded. The whole house is very meticulously decorated and very well thought out. I loved the fact that they had pantry items! They had a shovel for snow, a driveway shovel and a wind shield scraper. The hot tub was amazing and the backyard was plenty big for kids to play. The got water heater really kept the water hot! The only thing worth mentioning is the fireplace is gas only. I read that it was gas but I thought it still burnt wood, it does not. It has fake logs in it. I personally like a wood burning fireplace but this actually worked out better because we were able to light it right away and have the house nice and toasty when we got in and I didn't have to wait for a fire to kindle. I'm only mentioning this because I made the mistake of buying wood at the local store on the way to the house and then I didn't need it. It ended up much more con

A Pinterest Worth Cottage

This cottage is simply perfect. You can tell the owners, Noel and Dave, meticulously planned every detail of this cottage. From the moment you step inside you will immediately be swept away and notice the beautiful wood branch staircase, the cozy fireplace, gorgeous flooring, wood panel walls, clean couches, brand new kitchen, bathrooms and granite countertops. There are also flashlights, working smoke detectors in every room and a fire extinguisher. Safety first! I especially loved all of the little details that made this cabin really special such as the hand knit blankets, the adorable pine cone bathroom fixtures, soft fluffy towels, the color coordinated ceramic dishes, and adorable rustic decor (angel pigs!) If you love to cook like me, you will also be very impressed with how well the kitchen is organized and stocked. There is every cooking pot, pan, bowl or tool you will ever need, a coffee maker with coffee grinds, seasonings, even sprinkles! The cabin also has tons of extra blankets, games, large washer and dryer, mud room (so essential) and a hot tub outside in the backyard. The property is very close to the mountain resort shuttles however, they only run every hour. (It would be a good idea to find out the pick up schedule ahead of time.) Our party decided to walk to Snow Summit which is about a mile walk. There are tons of restaurants, a Starbucks, and grocery store within less than a 5 minute drive away. Talk about convenient. Last but not least, the owners Noel and Dave are a pleasure to work with. They respond quickly to any questions or concerns you have. You can tell Noel and Dave take pride in their cottage. Please love and care for it as they do and this place will remain a gem! We can't wait to return! Thank you again Noel and Dave for the wonderful memories. We will cherish them for years to come.

Amazing cabin!

This cabin was absolutely amazing! Dave and Noel were great to let us check in an hour early, the cabin was clean, cozy and heat was on for us upon arrival. We loved having a nice hot tub after a day on the slopes. My kids loved the waffle and popcorn makers. We will definitely be staying here again.

Perfect stay

My family and I really enjoyed this cabin it was clean, remodeled, and very cozy. It was very cute inside and out. very easy to get to, great location. We felt very welcomed by the owners who kept in touch with us and answered any questions that we had. We will definitely stay here again. If I had to mention anything might be that a couple of the beds are on the hard side, but not everyone has the same opinion when it comes to mattresses.

GLORIOUS GET AWAY

You know what it feels like to look at a picture of a place and feel no connection but find the place cute or quaint, that’s what I felt when I saw this listing. Then we stayed there and now when I look at the picture of this listing I see lasting memories we made. I see the gas fireplace we used every morning cuddled in to watch one of their many movies they have provided for your pleasure. I look at the kitchen and think of the yummy coffe we drank in the morning to get our day going. I think of the waffle maker they have that my kids loved!! I look at the dining area and think of the many lego creations made there or the friendship bracelets we did. The bedrooms I remember the cozy night sleep, so clean and comfy. The backyard we got to play in the snow and go in the hot tub! We were so close to the village or the slopes and got to get our kids in lessons for the first time. BASICALLY THIS STAY WAS AMAZING! Noel & Dave were just so kind and hands on and I feel like I know them without knowing them. I love her hand painted art on the walls and how nice she is. She checks in on you and makes sure you have everything you need! Also Mike & Shelley the property managers are so so nice! They shoveled out the walk after snow and helped us right away when we locked ourselves outside. I mean it doesn’t get much better, life is greater when you feel connected and we felt loved and taken care of. XO

This is our family cabin that we would like to share with you. Our children live across the United States and this is our gathering spot for making memories.

Why they chose this property

We searched for many years for a place in Big Bear and when we found this spot we knew it was going to meet everyone in our families dreams. Our kids love that there is everything from snow skiing to mountain biking. If you want a real thrill do what we did for our anniversary and ZIP line through the beautiful canopy of pines! WOW something to remember. Love the nights where we sit and play cards by the fire place or jump in the spa!

What makes this property unique

Get away from the city in a matter of hours! It is only an hour or 2 from LA and you are transformed to another way of life. The village is filled with friendly people from all walks of life. There is a celebration for every event and some kooky things like people racing outhouses. There is always something new to do and see or you can just sit and read a book! We love it here.
