Beautiful property and super responsive hosts! Check in was super easy, house was clean and ready to go, kitchens are well stocked, water toys were great, having the casita by the water for cooking and eating while playing in the water was so convenient. There is a lot of space for people to spread out inside and out.

Thank you for your review! Casita Grove is spectacular, and we are so happy your family enjoyed the holiday there. It was such a gorgeous weekend, and that makes it so nice to explore all that the area has to offer! We are so glad you did!
Great property for multiple families that need space but can congregate all together in common areas. The outdoor kitchen/ seating area was perfect and the hammocks were a great way to rest during our beautiful day. We used the kayaks and canoe as well as our oun canoe and the river was calm, just watch for boats or jet ski’s. There is a winery just down the road that was a nice break from the water. Greta place to stay, I would recommend this property and we would use it again.
From the check in to the check out, they made it so easy. I love that you can just text with them and they are very responsive. The home was perfect. It was clean and welcoming. It was a perfect place for a large group. The Casita down by the lake was stellar. We are going to make this an annual trip and this is our home! The main house is perfect for older folks on the ground floor and couple upstairs in the master. The bunk house down stairs was great for the teens. The white house was perfect for the remaining group. Everyone had a bed and plenty of space. You wont spend much time here though. The Casita is where you will be! We cooked every meal there.

This was a great place to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday. The two houses were just as advertised; beautiful, clean, great layout, and a well stocked kitchen. The outdoor kitchen and dock were very nice. The only negative was there was to much orange! Gig’em Aggies. 👍🤣

Lauri, we are so glad your Dad had a great 80th birthday. We appreciate the compliments. Thank you for letting us host you!
This place was beautiful the outdoor kitchen was great for BBQ , has tv setup to catch the baseball game . We did have to hose it down the outdoor kitchen their was dirt and spiders everywhere but it’s expected . There we plenty of room for 3 families toddlers included. Huge yard a ton of shade and plenty of space for everyone. The only downside was their was no condiments so we had to run to The store which is about 12 minutes away to buy salt and pepper. Overall great experience .

16 of my friends and I enjoyed a fabulous long weekend at the Casita Grove property. This place has absolutely everything you can think of. It is nicely decorated & clean. It looks better than the pictures, which rarely happens. :-) Loved loved loved the Casita on the water. We spent a great deal of time there & around the fire pit. We are looking at making this an annual trip.

We liked this property because it allowed the 2 families and grandparents to spread out. We would stay here again. Beds were comfortable, the lake front casita and hammocks were a blast. A few issues came up like internet problems. Fire ants all over the yard and lakefront area. Also the kitchen didnt have basics like salt or cooking spray. No beach towels. This is the, reason for 1 star off but otherwise a great place to relax

Thank you for the feedback. We will have our team address the fire ant situation. We appreciate you allowing Hill Country Stays to host you and your group.
There were some cleanliness issues and the septic in the front kept backing up and smelled horrible. Refrigerator didn't work right and two dishwashers had issues. Clothes washer did not spin/rinse and TV's didn't work in one house. Property needs some work for the amount charged per night.
But the location was beautiful.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the cleanliness issues and the maintenance problems you encountered during your stay. Your concerns regarding the septic system, appliances, and overall property condition are noted, and we have addressed them. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the beautiful location. We appreciate your input as it helps us improve our services.
We stayed at this property for the 2024 Eclipse and had a great time. There are two separate homes on the property and a fantastic casita located right at the edge of the Colorado River. The two homes on one property arrangement is perfect for 2-3 families or for adults in one house and kids in the other. The casita is a great place to hang-out all day and night. There's a basic kitchen and a nice grill at the casita so you can do it all. The property came with 2 very nice stand-up paddleboard, a kayak and a canoe. There are hammocks in the dock where you can take a nice nap after swimming and boating. There's a big yard and it's very quiet and secluded. The town of Kingsland is about 10 mins away with a full grocery store and some nice places to eat. There's lots of golfing and boat rental options. Marble Falls is a nice place to visit and is 15 mins away. Fredericksburg is an hour away and is a great day trip from this property.

Brian, we are grateful you allowed up to host you during this HUGE event ! I hope your whole group had a great time & memories were made. Thank you !
Beautiful spacious property on a nice stretch of the Colorado River. The two houses were comfortable, clean, well appointed with plenty of room for our group to hang out and enjoy meals. The ample shared patio between the homes was perfect for dining al fresco, and the deep covered porch on the white house provided the perfect shelter when a surprise thunderstorm rolled up one evening. The riverside casita provided room for all the amenities we needed for days lounging by the water. Comfortable chairs, tables, cozy hammocks and lots of soft cushy sticker-free grass. The house is just down river from a No-Wake zone, and a fun paddle excursion upriver rewarded us with a quiet scenic stretch of water with none of the boats. We do an annual Labor Day stay at vacation homes on the water, and this was our seventh. Everyone in our group mentioned how much they loved this house. The host was also super responsive and helpful. Thank you!

Beautiful property but read the details
The property itself is beautiful and well stocked (hairdryers, blender, regular coffee pot + Keruig). Its was”lake clean” but not clean clean- baseboards, and cob webs on the ceilings specifically. It is a bit musty in the white house and bunk room. There are lots of stairs. In the main house, there is a master on the top floor, a quest with ensuite and half bath on the main floor and in the basement, a bunk room with an exterior door. There were only two adults so this worked out for us but if you were counting on all the beds to justify the rate, know that littles should probably not be alone down there, it was very cave like and there is no bathroom. The shower in the queen on the main floor is to serve all those beds I think and it is small and not super clean, at least on our stay. We peeked in but didn’t use the whitehouse. Its a typical older two bedroom with fresh paint. It actually appeared cleaner than the main house but the mold smell was too much for us to use and we didn’t need both houses. Management is very responsive and great. The whole main house needs new blinds. The cameras are only outside but since the whole house is glass, you feel very watched. The neighborhood surrounding the property is sketch. Overall, if you had a huge group and were going to spend the bulk of your time outside and split the cost, this property is worth looking at. I wouldn’t consider the interior of the houses high end at all though so I think there is nicer out there in this price range.

Hi Abby,
I'm very sad to hear you were so disappointed in this property. This is an amazing lake property! It seems as though maybe you had different needs than most guests. This is absolutely the perfect place for a couple of families wanting to spend time on the water and outside. With this property and being on the water and heavily wooded we do fight spider webs and such. There is only a camera at the front door for security purposes only when the home is vacant. This neighborhood is very safe. We have never had any issues. Most lake towns have mixed neighborhoods with old and new homes. We do appreciate all the candid feedback however.

We have a great time at the Casita Grove property on the Colorado arm of the Lake LBJ. We had 11 guests total from our family and friends for a 3-day family reunion at the Lake. The 2 houses provide ample kitchen space and a great selection of dishes and cookware to do all of your meals at the property with no problems. The décor is great in both houses as well, with very high end bathrooms and comfy bedding. The boat dock, jet ski ramps, use of kayak/canoe also great and worked well. Local boat rental brought our rented pontoon boat straight to our dock for the day so we didn't have to even load the boat into the water. Lots of steps though, so just be aware of stairs and fairly steep walk down to the dock area and casita if you have older guests. 2 grills - one at main house and one at Casita as well. The photos of the kitchens really don't do them justice - or the bedrooms, they are large and very full of everything you need to serve a large group. The houses were very clean upon arrival, it just seems the Casita wasn't cleaned before our arrival, with cobwebs in dish cabinets, leaves etc on floor, but again, it's an "outside" Casita so those things will happen quickly. You work with a property mgmt. co. so the forms etc. are very formal, but the service and response was great. They were kind enough to provide beach towels for us at my request since we were traveling from out of state. This area of the lake is really cool - a perfect, quiet location for boating, jet skiis, and just down the way you can kayak to some cool rock formations. Also, less than a mile from a winery! Would definitely rent again!

KW - I am so happy you and your group enjoyed your time at Casita Grove. Thank you for your thoughtful review. Casita Grove is such a beautiful property and we are glad you were able to take full advantage of it. We would love for you to return whenever your schedule allows. Tracy
We had a great time, lots of stairs, but I was prepared for that and the outdoor kitchen was a huge benefit. I realize that the kitchen is outdoor and its susceptible to all kinds of bugs and cobwebs, but I think it could have at least been blown the day before arrival. I would also add Zevo's in the outlets in the house to avoid bugs from coming in. The carpet in downstairs bunk area probably needs to be replaced, I sprayed the area several times and still could not get the musty odor out of there. Otherwise, the stay was great, and everyone loved the sleeping arrangements.

Thanks for your review and feedback! The casita kitchen is outdoors and very close to the water, but the other two kitchens are inside the houses and have fewer issues with lake insects. We will relay your suggestions about the carpet and Zevo devices to our team and see what we can do. Thank you!
This home was part of the surprise for my husbands 50th Birthday. I could not have choose a better place to relax with family a friends. The private boat dock was just what we wanted.
