Great holiday home

Property was in a great location and was well equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Plenty of space and great to have 2 bathrooms. Easy check in and checkout process. Would definately recommend staying at this property.

Very roomy every thing you need however a working clothes dryer and some bedroom ceiling fans would make it more comfortable. Close access to beaches shops pub and tracks. All in all a good stay in property and we will be back.

Great place, close to the beach and well appointed. some of the kit in the kitchen was not very clean but not a big issue. It was strange that you asked us to bring cleaning items and toilet paper etc when it was not required. Also again a minor issue but you asked us to sweep the floors which we did. This gave me the impression rightly or wrongly that you are not actually organising the place to be professionally cleaned. We did have a great weekend there!

Perfect location and down-to-earth comfort

Thanks so much to the owners/ managers, who clearly attended to much of the feedback from previous guests. This was a fantastic house for our needs (2 families with 4 young teenage kids) and the location is perfect - breezy, quiet street, a view over the forests and a short stroll to the beaches. It was clean, comfortable, heaps of glassware (!) and some great new appliances. The only feedback we'd now give is that ceiling fans in the bedrooms would be terrific, and a blind on the main bedroom window would be great. Thanks for a fabulous place for our Easter holidays - we will definitely be back.

The house was perfect for what we wanted - a no frills base for two families with young kids close to the beach. The house was a great size, nice and spacious, with a great big balcony that caught the beautiful afternoon light surrounded by trees with visiting kookaburras. Nice and close to Home Beach and Cylinder Beach and just a short drive into town. It was really handy to have a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Would definitely stay again.One piece of feedback - only one out of the four hobs on the stove worked and the oven was a bit temperamental, but we made it work! We had cooked breakfasts every morning and big family dinners and it was fine as long as we were organised. The BBQ is pretty new and we used that a lot too.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very happy overall. The location was great, house had everything we needed and comfy beds. The steep driveway was steeper in person (didn’t feel comfortable to walk down safely esp when wet) and internal stairs proved a little tricky for joints. Check-in-process was easy and Ray White were great to deal with. Gas oven / stove a little temperamental but we got there in the end. There is large fridge, microwave and well stocked kitchen. BBQ a bonus (we didn’t use) and the fisherman appreciated the sink and tap in the carport area to keep smells downstairs.

Reviewer Comments: Our first stay at this house was very below average and disappointing, however when we complained we heard the owners had plans to come and revamp it. Well this was the case, it was sooooo much better. What a holiday house should be with everything working and the basics of living, plus more this year. Very happy. However there are some Maintenace things that need attention which were reported and are being acted upon. We would definitely recommend this place for any family, such a great location straight across from Cyclinder Beach and the Beach Hotel is walking distance. 2min drive to fish and chips and Foodworks.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was very suited to our family, it fit us well with heaps of space and a great location for sure. However when we arrived we had one toilet roll for 8 of us, 1 bin bag and zero dishwashing tablets.Windows and doors dont slide very easy at all, covered in cobwebs and dust, blind in bedroom was broken so couldn't close properly, main bedroom didn't have a main light had to use lamp, only one worked in both bedrooms. There was cobwebs hanging from the kitchen walls, all the glassware and things on the shelf were filthy they all needed to go in the dishwasher. The clothes drier wouldn't heat then cleaned lint filter which was so thick anywonder it didn't, the washing machine kept stopping during the cycle so came home to it still sitting in water and half done. The lawns were so overgrown about 30cm tall the grass was, really really let go and not good enough for the price you pay in peak season. We really would like to rebook this place next year but would have to know that alot has been done so things are clean and everything is working the way it should.

Everything you could need .The Ray White Staff were fabulous and very helpful.We loved our stay and would recommend and will stay again. Would suggest property managers / owners consider the following, kitchen pans are almost unusable as is sandwich press ( pots are great and other just need replacing). The property could use a little clean up of a few things that don't work or are broken. A clothes horse would be ideal as the washing line creates rust stains so can't really be used.

Location is great!

We arrived in the island and the agency was really nice to let us check in early, once we arrived at the property we noticed that the house wasn’t really cleaned, pots and kitchen utensils were a bit dirty, dishwasher with food in the filter and spiderwebs all around the roof. Once in the bedroom, only 2 double bed were done (we booked for 7 people), so we had to do our own beds. (For what we paid I was expecting at least all the beds done!) Lots of stairs inside the house, not suitable for an infant and people that are not able to walk with confidence. Location was great, very close to the beach!!

Run down beach shack

If you're after a 2 star over priced island vacation, this is your dream mansion. Chipped, mismatched dishes and cups, random spots of clean vs filthy, holes in the walls and cockroach baits at every turn! Mattresses are old, worn and smell. Broken recliners and outdoor setting. Tiny TV with no screen mirroring/smart TV. No WiFi. Sliding doors need repair. Dishwasher un-washes dishes, leaving them filthy. This place is BASIC. My family will not stay in this weird smelling, dirty house again. This is unfortunate as the property has massive potential. For the price paid I was highly disappointed. Middle of winter rates were equal to staying in a 4star GC hotel. If only the owners invested a little bit of the money made to fix, replace and clean up this house!
