The property was lovely and exactly how it was described. It was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed to relax for a few days. Communication with the hosts was easy and quick. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this space to others.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house is not large but its layout comfortably accommodates several people. The setting is beautiful and whimsical. We really appreciated the abundance of firewood for the wood stove which kept the place very cosy. Would definitely return.
Property was so cozy, beautiful, and a great place to spend time with loved ones and pets. There are boats, paddles, and water toys if you want to enjoy the water access. A fully stocked kitchen with all equipment you could need. Overall wonderful weekend!
Ian and Jackie’s property in Secret Cove was cozy, comfortable, and delightful. I stayed in the home with some friends in early February and found the rustic setting perfect for walking, gathering around the firepit, and taking a dip in the cove. The location is secluded and private, close to many local attractions and scenic vistas, as well as being a 10 minute drive to Sechelt. I would whole heartedly recommend this property for a either a relaxing and reflective escape, or for a base camp when pursuing adventure and exploration.
We arrived to find a banana bread on the counter! The boys were thrilled after a long trip! The kitchen has spices, condiments, flour, sugar, baking powder and basic oil and vinegar etc. It was so helpful to not have to buy a bag of flour for pancakes etc. There were some basic needs items in the bathroom also. It felt like visiting family, in that there were q-tips, tylenol, bandaids, that sort of thing. There were lots of games and some books. We lit a fire in the wood stove one night which was so cozy. The path to down to the water is nice. You go down the grasssy area, then onto a number of wooden stair sets, maybe 4 long ones, down to the water. They explored at low tide and kayaked at high tide to see the sunset. It was beautiful and quiet and just what we needed! Thank you Jackie and Ian!
The bed was comfortable and the cottage was well supplied with everything we needed and more. Although there was just 2 of us, there is plenty of space to accomodate a larger group comfortably. We appreciated the peacefulness of the location and the gated deck is a bonus for keeping dogs and children safe.
We really enjoyed Ian and Jackie’s house - it had everything we needed and loved access to the kayaks to explore Secret Cove. The homemade banana bread and jam were a wonderful touch.
We love staying here. My kids absolutely loved “the cabin” and didn’t want to leave. Our evening paddle on the inlet was just perfect and I love how everything you could want is included. Also, it’s such a great location - a great spot to explore the whole area
The house had everything we could possibly need and more. We loved being able to paddle in the inlet and enjoy the beautiful sites of the area. Ian and Jackie were very kind.
A special gem of a place, so glad we found it. Excellent location close to everything and a lovely spot in woodland, so quiet and peaceful, a relaxing spot and special to be able to go kayaking in the back garden. Jackie and Ian were great hosts, welcoming and had everything we needed in the place. The banana bread left was a lovely welcome, thank you!
A really cute place in a beautiful location on the Sunshine Coast. The house was really well equipped, and the kayaks were a terrific bonus -- paddling on Secret Cove was great! Excellent, and very helpful communication from Ian before and during our stay. In short, a terrific experience. Highly recommended!
The hosts have provided everything needed for a family vacation. The layout includes plenty of space for cooking, eating, playing board games, etc.. From the wood stove in the living room, to the BBQ and fire pit outside, the amenities are all included.
We loved our time in this beautiful spot. Ian was a great host, the area has beautiful hikes and kayaking. Great way to spend my birthday with my sons.
We enjoyed our fourth visit to this lovely cabin. We appreciated the owners' going above and beyond to replace the oven prior to our arrival, as the older one had malfunctioned.
