An authentic antique log cabin, transported and rebuilt in the Timberidge community of Gatlinburg, the cabin sits at the end of the road on a hill with spectacular views. Yet, it is only minutes to downtown Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the national park. This cabin will make you feel a world away with the hand hewn logs from the 1800's and stacked stone chimney. Sit back in the rocking chairs on the front porch and take in the wonderful view of the smoky mountains or relax in the hot tub after a long day of hiking and shopping. Inside, you will find with the rustic feel of the cabin are all the conveniences of today. A fully equipped kitchen and wood burning fireplace for those romantic evenings spent in the cabin, a king sized Beautyrest pillow top bed, as well as free WIFI will provide the amenities you deserve on your vacation. Cabin also has a full sized washer, dryer, and hi def TV. The beauty of nature abounds at Honeymoon Hideaway. Many guests have seen the family of bears that stroll through the property from time to time. Take in the beautiful long range views and listen to wild turkey calls in the morning while you drink coffee on the porch in your rocking chair.

Everything was perfect. Spotlessly clean, well appointed. Very private. A little scary to drive up but worth it for the amazing view. Hot tub was perfect. Only disappointment was that we didn’t see any bears.

My wife and I stayed three nights at this amazing cabin in October. Everything was perfect from the start. The views are amazing from the cabin porch, and the views you have from the hot tub are unbelievable. This property exceeds all expectations. Perfect location with a very short drive to either Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. Very private and very relaxing. The cabin was extremely clean and welcoming. The communication with the host Taylor was super easy and he was very quick to respond to any questions we had. The only bad thing is you can only give a 10 rating (perfect) and it needs to be a 20 (Unbelievably perfect). Already planning our trip here for next year

Top of the mountain solitude with astounding views . Privacy was unsurpassed and the whole stay was wonderful. Had a big storm and lost power but they restored it in a few hours. We had candles, flashlights and headlamps so it actually added to the experience. Great place with an excellent host.

We have stayed at this cabin 4 times. 3 outlets in the kitchen don’t work, we also found a big dead cockroach in the kitchen sink. This cabin needs a little tlc. Shower needs updated, same faded bedspread from a few yrs back. Rocking chairs are in bad shape. We loved this little cabin but won’t stay here again because of these issues.

We stayed in the cabin immediately after this guest departed. The outlets in the kitchen did not work because the gfi outlet had been tripped. You just have to press the button. The sink had a stinkbug in it because they come to the area for a few weeks at the beginning of Fall. We have monthly pest service - there are no cockroaches. The shower is a walk in shower with glass doors so needs an update? Goodness. The rocking chairs are not in bad shape, I just rocked in them - they are weathered from the environment. Please look at the reviews before and after this person.

The cabin was exactly as advertised. The view was awesome. Directions were easy. We loved staying there and would definitely come back. Had a bear encounter which was highlight of trip. Only thing I would suggest is better lighting in kitchen.

Why they chose this property

We absolutely love the community where this cabin is located. Each cabin sits on almost an acre and is secluded from the others in the neighborhood. We found that to be a rarity compared to most cabin areas that are stacked on top of each other. The authentic logs that were used to rebuild the cabin give it a romantic charm that make it stand out from cabins in other communities in the area.
Although secluded, the cabin has a great view and is easily accessed with vehicle and very close to Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, and downtown Gatlinburg.

What makes this property unique

Spectacular long range views - you can even see The Island ferris wheel at night! Built out of antique hand hewn logs from the 1800's.
