Villa Thomasamayley is set high in the hills. There is fantastic scenery all around. To the front there are olive groves leading down to Lake Vinuela, and mountain views to be seen in every direction. In the distance on a clear day you can see Torre del Mar and the sea, to the left you have the typical Spanish village of Alcaucin nestling in the Sierra Tejada mountain side. Our villa occupies a large area, there is a large 30ft by 15ft swimming pool and a sun terrace.There is a poolside casita with shower and toilet. The area is good for walking. The National Foerest is nearby.

This is a really lovely, attractive villa with a gorgeous pool in the hills above the Malaga coast.

The villa is clean and well maintained, with everything you need. It is in a lovely position in the hills, with amazing views to the mountains, yet only 20 minutes from the beach. There are good shops and restaurants nearby too and Grenada and Malaga are within easy reach. The villa is in attractive Spanish style, with a cool covered terrace and beautiful garden and pool. The owner was extremely helpful and easy to contact. We had an excellent stay here and would love to come again.

Wonderful Villa. Fantastic Host

The first two things that struck us about this lovely villa was the stunning views and also the fact that Brenda, the host, had supplied us with some essentials (bread, milk, butter etc) to welcome us, which was a nice touch and really appreciated. The villa was really clean, well looked after and it quickly became a home from home for us. A lot of time was spent in and around the large pool where we could swim, read and enjoy the views. We enjoyed days out to Nerja and Malaga which were within an hours drive. The village at the foot of the mountain has a well stocked supermarket with lots of British products and also a restaurant, Meson Sara, where the food was excellent and the staff were friendly. We highly recommend exploring the mountain where the villa is located, especially going for a walk in the evening so you can catch the sunset over the mountains. Brenda's communication throughout the booking process and during our stay was brilliant and we felt really looked after by her. This villa was a big part in making our holiday a memorable one and we would definitely recommend it. It's certainly a place we would seriously consider coming back to next time we visit Malaga.

Wunderschön gelegen.

Das Haus trafen wir so an, wie auf den Bildern beschrieben. Es liegt etwas Abseits des Haupttrubels auf einer Anhöhe mit wunderschönem Grundstück und wunderschönem Blick. Wer nachts anreist, sollte sich auf ein kurzes machbares Stück unbefestigter Straße einstellen. Bei den hohen Temperaturen im Hochsommer, waren die Deckenventilatoren in den Schlafzimmern sehr hilfreich. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war jederzeit tadellos. In der nahen Umgebung gibt es zwei kleinere Supermärkte, in der man alles was man so benötigt auch erhält. Am Meer gibt es mehrere große Supermärkte. Wer die Natur, Ruhe und Berge liebt, ist hier absolut richtig! Im Hochsommer sind die Strände sehr voll. In der Nebensaison sollte es ausreichend Platz am etwa 20 Minuten entfernten Meer geben. Im nahe gelegenen See darf man offiziell nicht baden, jedoch scheint es dennoch möglich zu sein. Der Pool ist sehr groß und bietet bei ausreichender Reinigung im Hochsommer viel Spaß. Wer mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs ist, sollte viel Ausdauer mitbringen. Alles in allem ein sehr erholsamer Urlaub. Wir können die Region sehr weiterempfehlen. We found the house as described in the pictures. It is a bit away from the main hustle and bustle on a hill with beautiful grounds and a beautiful view. If you arrive at night, you should be prepared for a short, feasible stretch of unpaved road. With the high temperatures in midsummer, the ceiling fans in the bedrooms were very helpful. Communication with the landlady was flawless at all times. In the vicinity there are two smaller supermarkets where you can get everything you need. There are several large supermarkets by the sea. If you love nature, tranquility and mountains, this is the place for you! The beaches are very crowded in midsummer. In the off-season there should be enough space at the sea about 20 minutes away. You are not officially allowed to swim in the nearby lake, but it still seems to be possible. The pool is very large and, with adequate cleaning, is a lot of fun in midsummer. Anyone who travels by bike should have a lot of stamina. All in all a very relaxing vacation. We can highly recommend the region.

fijne tijd gehad, enige minpuntje was dat we geen waarschuwing hadden gekregen over de weg naar het huis, we kwamen aan in het donker en het laatste stukje weg vonden wij erg lastig om te rijden.

Lovely property, amazing views

We had a lovely stay here. The views up on the hill were amazing. The perfect location for a peaceful holiday. Great pool and plenty of pool toys for the children. The house was simple but clean and very well catered. Although no air conditioning there are ceiling fans in each room and some plug in air cooling fans. The evening breeze on the mountains kept the nights nice and cool! Overall a fantastic week.

Great holiday superb large pool which was great for the children. All views were spectacular. Short drive to the local beaches. Road up to the villa is perfectly safe and a short distance from the local town where there are a few bars and restaurants. Recommend for a peaceful family break.

Great Holiday Property

We have now spent a number of our Summer holidays at this great Villa. If you are looking for a place to have a chill out holiday you can not get better than this. The Villa is a family home, with all you would expect, Washing Machine, Dish Washer, Fridge Freezer TV with DVD and Video. There is a selection of films to watch at the villa. The accommodation is clean and well kept. The private pool is just fantastic to sit by and dip in and out as you please. The location is out of the way of others and you will need to hire a car to get there, there are lots of good places to eat within a 20 minute drive. For those who are a little more into traveling to some of the sights in Southern Spain this is an ideal spot to travel from. We will continue to return to this holiday location as long as we are able. For those with young children you can supervise them at the private pool without the worry of them getting involved with others. The views across the mountains and toward the lake are just stunning, it is such a pleasure to wake up and sit outside for breakfast with such a wonderful view. Fully recommend this holiday location and this Villa.

We have had our 3 bedroom Villa for 14 years we enjoy spending time there we also enjoy finding different places of interest in the surrounding areas, the scenery is amazing. The Villa is opposite to our 2 bedroom villa which is also advertised on the Owners Direct site.

Why they chose this property

The area has fantastic views all around it is a quiet country location but only 5 mins drive to shops in Puente de Zalia. The villa is near Mirador Cruz Mesa Zalia a famous historical spot see the cross from the villa.

What makes this property unique

Our Villa has a large swimming pool set in spacious grounds with shrubs and trees.It includes a field in front and our land includes a hill to the side.
