About this property

Mid-Century Chic in Old Orlando's College Park

Welcome to Hayden House! Located in one of Old Orlando's coolest neighborhoods, College Park, the home's convenient central Orlando location puts you just minutes from everything Central Florida has to offer. Whether you are in the area for a meeting downtown or to visit one of Orlando's many tourist attractions, you will find it very easy to access it all from Hayden House! And the best part, when you return to your "home away from home", you will appreciate both Hayden House's amenities and the surrounding neighborhood's charming homes and vistas, a perfect place for a run, jog or leisurely walk.

A bit about Hayden House:

Approx 1200 Square Feet
2-Bedrooms, each with Queen Beds and 32" TVs
1-Bathroom
Kitchen
Dining Room
Living Room
Game Room
Laundry Room w/ HE washer & dryer
Screened Porch
Patio
2-car carport
Fenced Yard
Free Hi-Speed Wifi

15 Minutes to Universal Studios
22 Minutes to Disney
9 Minutes to Millennia Mall
50 Minutes to Daytona Beach (but we suggest going to New Smyrna instead -- it's what the locals do)

Restaurants? Sooo many Restaurants:
The number of restaurants and eateries along Edgewater Drive (the main drive in College Park) is almost ridiculous. Our favorites include:

The Castle Irish Pub
Christo's Cafe
Armando's
Ollie's Public House

But don't think College Park is the only place to eat and shop...
Winter Park's Park Avenue is literally minutes away as are numerous
Downtown Orlando venues.

In 2014 we rented this home for a winter vacation and loved it so much we jumped on the chance to buy it when it came on the market in 2015.

Hi! We are Barney and Sam, two Boston Terriers from Nashville. Our Dads bought this house as a second home for us to escape the cold winters in Nashville. Well, it's not really cold for most people, but, Boston Terriers are a little sensitive to weather and we do love to lay in the sun on the back patio and/or porch -- so we're a little spoiled. And you will be too after your stay at Hayden House. We just love it!

Why they chose this property

One of our Dads (they are both named John) grew up in Orlando and went to high school just down the road from this house. He has always loved this neighborhood and so will you. We take walks daily and there's always a great new street or pocket park to explore. There are lakes everywhere and the whole area is charming. Many of the streets are paved with bricks and the live oak trees in the yards are amazing.

College Park is a distinct neighborhood in the city of Orlando. It gets its name from the many streets in the community named after places of higher learning like Princeton, Harvard, and Yale. Its close proximity to downtown has made it a popular residential area for over a century.

In recent years, Edgewater Drive, the main drive in College Park, was converted to a two-lane road with wide bike lanes which makes it even easier to get around to all the shops and restaurants.
