Villa With Private Pool

Villa Rosa is situated at the southern end of the village of Dalyan. It is 50 metres from the main Dalyan river. There are magnificent views of the Lycian Rock Tombs in the cliffs opposite, which are floodlit by night and can be seen from main and side bedrooms. A short boat trip takes you to Turtle Beach, the breeding grounds of the rare and protected loggerhead turtles. Upstream is a large lake and thermal springs, mud baths and sulphur baths. The Villa has a beautiful pool (shallow area 0.5m, mostly 2m deep) and gardens with loungers and a summer house (Kosk). A lounge and diner with fully equipped kitchen are on the ground floor together with a double bedroom and bathroom with wheelchair access. There is roadside parking available though as restaurants and shops are within a short walking distance, most guests find a car unnecessary.

A lovely home from home - with better weather

We had a lovely 2 weeks in Villa Rosa. The rooms were lovely and the kitchen was well stocked and big enough for the 8 of us. The children loved the pool and the peaceful location, within waking distance of the town was perfect.

My family & I had a lovely stay, villa is in a great location, amazing views and a short walk into the main town. Pool was wonderful although only a small shallow section suitable for small children. Villa has all you need.

Excellent in every sense !

Absolutely loved this property. It’s safe to say the pictures do not do the place justice. They seemed kind of dark and dismal. I was pleasantly surprised to find a bright and spacious and well-maintained home with four separate bedrooms with private impeccable bathrooms. The kitchen was well-stocked with some supplies as well such as oil and spices and so forth. Plenty of books to read. And the garden is absolutely lovely, there is a grove a pomegranate trees in the back as well as a lemon tree and two bikes. The pool was warm and if I’m not mistaken a saltwater pool which we prefer. All in all a fantastic stay!! Highly recommend!!

Beautiful villa

We had a wonderful time here. The villa is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped, the pool is lovely and lots of activities to do (dvds, books, table tennis). Good BBQ and nice to relax in the outdoor seating area in the shade. The villa is very close to lots of restaurants and the town centre. Derek was very helpful in suggesting places to visit and putting us in contact to arrange a boat trip. Thanks for a great stay.

Superb villa

Superb villa. Very spacious, light and airy. Pool was very well maintained with twice daily visits by gardener. Bedrooms all large and all have their own good sized bathrooms. Decor is very good with lots of nice local items (throws/cushions etc). The area of Dalyan is gorgeous and the villa is in a great position to enjoy everything. Photos don't do the villa justice. Gardens are more well grown than in the photos so plenty of privacy assured. Can highly recommend Villa Rosa and very good communication from Derek the owner. Thank you.

Fantastic!!

We were a party of eight ladies ranging in age from 18 years to 60 plus and nearly all first time visitors to Turkey. We had a ball! Everything about the villa was beyond excellent and we particularly liked the Kosk where we spent most of our evenings putting the world to rights and laughing til we cried! The whole are was lovely and people were so helpful in the restaurants we visited. We really had such a good time that we are hoping to re visit next year.

Winter Sun

We had an amazing week thanks to the beautiful villa in a suberb setting. The views of the rock tombs from both the poolside and balcony are stunning - few villas in the area have a view as good as this. The pool is perfect for cooling off or burning off one of the many evening meals from the local riverside restaurants (which are all within walking distance and serve a wide range of food including some excellent Turkish cuisine). Use of the bikes is an added bonus as the local area is well worth exploring to appreciate the landscape for yourself. Dalyan is certainly a place to go as the relaxed nature of the local people make for a stress-free holiday and the charms of the area will make you want to return again and again. Villa Rosa offers all the facilities and creature comforts one could ask for.

5 star holiday!!

We had a family holiday in Dalyan with parents and grandparents and stayed at Villa Rosa! Having not been to Turkey before we didn't know what to expect but could not have asked for anything more! The villa was beyond our expectations with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, so privacy for all, but also a lovely big outside area to get together and our own gorgeous pool! We took teh opportunity to go on a private boat trip which was fantastic with an inclusive BBQ at sea, and enjoyed delicious meals every night in the various restaurants!! I would absoulutely recommend this villa and Dalyan to anyone!!

Villa Rosa

My family and I stayed in the Villa Rosa for my 50th birthday for a week. We had never been to Turkey before and were very impressed with Dalayan. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance of the villa and also convenience stores. We sampled many of the restaurants and found the staff very accommodating and friendly, the food was of very good standard and very reasonably priced. There were lots of places to visit and the organised trips were again very reasonable priced. The area was beautiful. The villa itself was lovely, very spacious and comfortable with an excellent pool and terraces. The bedrooms were large with plenty of cupboard and storage space and the bathrooms were all of a very high standard. The living areas were large and spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. It was situated in an excellent location for access to all amenities. My only criticism is with myself for not going for a fortnight and all of our party felt the same. We would definitely go back. A colleague of mine has been four times.

Why they chose this property

Turkey wasn’t at the top of my list of countries to visit – in fact it wasn’t on my list at all! I took up an invitation to holiday in a villa belonging to an old friend – in a place called Dalyan (which meant nothing to me). He had been going there for years…but he said I wouldn’t be disappointed and I valued his judgment, so I went in 2007. Shortly after I came back from that holiday (which was superb by the way) three plots became available in a new development near the river in a quiet part of town and the result was three superb properties were built in 2008 – we have the middle villa. Dalyan, the place was nothing like I expected. In fact Dalyan is one of the friendliest places I have ever been to. Go there once and you will be hooked!

What makes this property unique

If you like to be surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery, with as much activity – or as little - as you want, where you don’t need to drive (everywhere is within walking distance) then choose Dalyan. It is close to an excellent 5 km beach on the Aegean/Mediterranean Sea, and a large lake, both just a short boat trip away. If you like a place where there are no night clubs but lots of bars and restaurants with good quality food, then this is a good place to spend some time. And the weather is pretty good too! Oh and there is a bit of history to this part of the world – one prominent feature from the Lycian times are the Rock Tombs, over 2000 years old, carved into the mountain across the river. They are lit up at night as a stunning back drop to the villa and the riverside to provide a magical setting.
