Unwind and relax at this charming Provencal home within walking distance of the pretty medieval village of Sillans-la-Cascade and on the edge of the Verdon National Park.

This idyllic detached villa is perfect for a quiet family holiday around the pool or as a base from which to explore the villages of the Haut-Var and the beaches of the Cote D'Azur. The spectacular Gorges Du Verdon and Lac St-Croix lie 45 mins by car; Saint Tropez and Sainte Maxime are 1 hour away; Marseille and Nice are within 90 mins. Local amenities include daily Provencal markets, tennis, horse-riding, golf, excellent trekking trails and water-sports at the Lac St-Croix. The house benefits from recently installed air conditioning to all bedrooms and living area. The 4 bedrooms (3 double, 1 twin) all have ensuite facilities - the 2 ground-floor bedrooms having bathrooms, the upstairs bedrooms have shower-rooms. There is a generous lounge with dining area and open fireplace, whilst outside there is a tiled patio overlooking the pool. (Refurbished and re lined February 2026) ideal for outdoor dining or barbeques, whilst the private pool lies at the heart of the lawned, level, enclosed garden. Free Wi-Fi and satellite TV with English channels.

It was absolutely perfect. We loved all the rooms, beautiful nature and the pool was amazing. The view and driving around the pitoresque villages was like a dream. And those waterfalls….. So inspiring and relaxing, we all went home very happy and a little sad to leave such a nice place.

Everything was as described,. this house is in a great location and is just a short walk from the village, its just what we needed, very clean, tidy and spacious and had everything there that we needed.Although the house is fully fitted with a new heating system, we also made the most of the open fire and spent a couple of cosy evening in.The communication with the owners was more than helpful and very informative and friendly.We will definitely return to this property maybe in the summer and look forward to trying out their new aircon and the use of the swimming pool.just perfect, thank you!

Great house and perfect location

We spent ten delightful days with our two married children and a 9 month baby. We especially enjoyed the quietness (inside and outside), the full washroom with every bedroom, the space inside and outside with 2 terraces and of course the swimming pool. The house is in a very quiet area with no traffic, but only a ten minute walk to the bakery (great bread and croissants for the morning breakfast). It is located in Provence with its markets (Aups and Lorgues were the best). The coast is not too far ( Calanques) but there is lots to see around as well (but you need a car). It is like having your own house in Provence

Great holiday in beautiful area

The house, garden and pool were all very lovely. We were two families, eight people in total, and there was plenty of space for all of us. Each of the bedrooms had its own bathroom which was very nice especially when travelling with teens. Due to the warm weather, we enjoyed the outside very much, especially the pool was a big hit for both teenagers and adults. The pool was approx. 1,9 meter in the deep end and around 28-29 degrees Celsius which was perfect for us. There are many possibilities to explore Provence from Sillans-la-Cascade, several lovely villages. We especially enjoyed our trips to Aups, Tourtour and Lorgues. We went to Lac Sainte-Croix several times, where we among other things rented boats. Communicating with Steven and Maria was extremely easy, we appreciated the advice they gave us both before and after we arrived.

Grande maison avec des belles chambres avec airco. Jardin pratique pour un chien car il est clôturé. La piscine et extérieur ne sont pas tout jeunes. Les photos dates d il y a plusieurs années je pense ... Les 2 terrasses sont assez dangereuse pour enfants car il y a une hauteur de /- 1m20 sans barriere .Nous avons aussi eu la visite de souris / rat dans le garage et toit végétale de la pergola de la terrasse. Mais a part cela, la maison est bien située pour se reposer .

Tolles Haus in der Povence

Wir haben eine Woche in dem Haus verbracht und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht, das Wohnzimmer ist groß und gemütlich und die Schlafzimmer und Badezimmer bieten viel Platz und sind sauber. Der Pool und die Terrassen sind großzügig. Alles perfekt um seine Freizeit zu genießen.

Tolle Auszeit in schöner Umgebung

Das Haus ist genau wie beschrieben. Es handelt sich um das auch von den Eigentümern selbst genutzte Haus, was man an der Innenaustattung merkt und wir angenehm fanden. Der Kontakt mit den Eigentümern (schriftlich und telefonisch) war sehr angenehm und unkompliziert. Sollten wir nochmal in die Gegend fahren wollen, werden wir sicherlich wieder vorbeischauen.

Urgemütliches Haus in bester Lage

Wir haben die Herbstferien 2021 in diesem sehr schönen und gemütlichen Haus verbracht und sehr genossen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter sowie dem Verwalter vor Ort war sehr angenehm und völlig unkompliziert. Der Verwalter hat uns auch sehr schnell und effektiv mit zwei Problemen geholfen. Das Haus selbst ist sehr geräumig und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Einrichtung ist teilweise etwas altmodisch, hat dadurch aber auch individuellen Charme. Die Zimmer sind gut geschnitten und verfügen über komfortable Betten, was uns persönlich sehr wichtig ist. Das umgebende Grundstück ist sehr gepflegt und der Garten ist überwiegend mit einer dichten Hecke umgeben, so dass man seine Ruhe hat und sich nicht ständig beobachtet zu fühlen braucht. Der Pool wurde vor unserer Ankunft und dann noch 2x während des Aufenthaltes gerenigt, so dass er durchgehend super sauber war. Alles in allem ist das Haus gerade für Familien sehr empfehlenswert.

Nous avons séjourné une semaine avec notre fils de 5ans. La maison était d'une propreté irréprochable ! Pas de poussière, draps, micro-onde, frigo,... Tout était très propre. L'emplacement était parfait, accès a pieds à la cascade de Sillans, aux restaurants également. Les charmants propriétaires nous ont envoyé un petit texte avec les jours de marchés, les lieux à visiter, etc. Nous avons adoré ce séjour du début à la fin. Notre fils se souviendra certainement des vacances à Sillans! On n'a qu'une envie, y retourner! :-)

Cela s'est bien passé. Très confortable avec 1 salle de bain dans chaque chambre, on ne peut pas espérer mieux. Les draps et le linge a ne pas emporter, c'était un plus. La piscine très agréable quoique le temps ne nous a pas permis d'en profiter davantage.

We bought the house from a Marseilles couple in April 1998 and have spent wonderful holidays there at all times of the year. We've slowly worked on the house (not ourselves, home DIY is not our speciality) to bring it to its present condition. We are both winding down from full time medical practice and one of our goals is to spend more time with our children and grandchildren so it is very much a second home for us as well as a lovely holiday villa.

Why they chose this property

Ideally situated between sea and mountains, not as busy as the coast but with beautiful walks, a lovely waterfall and the Gorges du Verdon and Lac de St.Croix half an hour away. Surrounded by pretty medieval villages and daily local Provencal markets.

What makes this property unique

Four double bedrooms, all ensuite.
Lovely pool, heated from Mid-May to early October.
Secluded pretty garden with traditional lavender, pine and olive trees.
