Unique property located 30 minutes from Palma airport in a romantic village (Santanyi), home to numerous restaurants and art galleries. The mill is centrally located within walking distance from the village. Some of Mallorca's nicest beaches can be accessed by car (5 minute drive to the sea). Guests can enjoy the shade of the vine pergola, and cool off from the Mallorcan sun by jumping into the kidney shaped private pool. The house is ideal for families and can also cater to couples. The mill in Santanyi is even better than what we could have imagined. The pictures really do not do this place justice. We have stayed in many rentals across many countries and I have to say the hospitality from Cecilia and Volkmar was top notch. It was a real highlight for us to meet Cecilia towards the end of the trip and she was so lovely with us and our girls. In terms of the location, this is the perfect place to base yourself to explore the amazing beaches and calas of south east Mallorca and beyond. You’ll need a car, but it is so worth it to have the freedom to explore from here. The town of Santanyi is lovely and the location of the mill is perfect, just out of the busyness of the town so it is quiet, but a very short walk to the restaurants, cafes, bakeries and of course the Wednesday and Saturday market.This has without a doubt been one of our favourite holidays and the mill was a huge factor in that. Thank you so much and we really hope to be back again soon.

Good time in Santanyi

Cecilia and Rodrigo were great hosts! The Mill was fantastic and has a very authentic feel. It's in a great location for strolls out into the old town at night and the perfect base for beach adventures during the day. We'll be back! Ben, Vanessa, Maya & Poppy.

Cozy house in Santanyi

Heartly welcome, so vacation started with the very first minute. We found everything we needed (kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room). The fridge and the cupboard in the kitchen even filled, when we arrived!The perfect little pool is even larger than we expected and the shady place in front of the entrance door is the best of all.Thank you Cecilia, Volkmar, Tekin and Rodrigo!

Fabulous home!

We had the most wonderful stay at the mill house. The tour by Cecelia on arrival was delightful. The fridge and pantry were very generously and considerately stocked. We were there during very hot weather and the pool and air conditioning in the house provided much needed relief and comfort. We stayed for a week and explored all the stunning local beaches. Restaurants in Santanyi were great and very close - a few minutes walk. We loved the market on Wednesdays and Saturdays but there was also a local supermarket a few minutes walk from the house. Highly recommend this place if you’re after somewhere full of character and history with wonderful hosts.

Fabulous

We had a lovely stay at the Mill, 4 adults and two young children. The VRBO photos don’t do this place justice. It was quaint and well appointed in equal measure. The weather was very hot (30-45 degrees C) every day so the pool and air conditioners provided welcome relief from the afternoon heat. The upstairs room is self contained with its own ensuite. Nice bakery nearby, and loads of restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Celia (the owner) was a gracious host, and her helper was on hand to support us with advice, pool cleaning and tips on the property. We’ll definitely go back.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful 600 year old mill. Cecilia the owner was such a lovely charming lady, she made us feel so welcome. We arrived to a very well stocked fridge, fruit and vegetable basket and cupboards filled with food essentials, thank you so much for this!! The house is perfectly located and less than ten minutes walk to the town’s restaurants and bars, there are also a few great restaurants right next to the house. We spent most of our days visiting the beaches of Es Trenc, Cala Moro and Cala Santanyi all beautiful. The pool was perfect for a late afternoon cool down. Thank you so much for making our holiday so perfect, we can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic stay in a romantic, historic mill

You had us at the beautiful entrance with the bougainvillea everywhere! But on top of that the exquisite and most unique property. The smallest touches to make us feel at home. Stocked fridge and fruits, vegetables. Just thought of everything. The welcome we received from Volkmar was so warm and welcoming and we were honored to meet Miss Cecilia the owner (special shout out to her son Rodrigo). This charming 600 year old property just left us in total awe and the functional design was amazing. It was in a great location and easily walkable and good parking so that you don’t miss the market on Weds or Sat. What can we say? We didn’t want to leave. Just excellent communication, warmth and caring from our hosts!

Characterful Mill in a wonderful location

The mill is absolutely beautiful. It is perfectly located to walk to lots of restaurants and shops but the area is not too touristy. It is very private and Cecilia and her lovely caretaker are nearby if you need anything. There were lots of lovely personal touches which you sometimes do not find in rentals. The photos do not do it justice. It is rustic but very charming with beautiful flowers growing all around. The only thing I would say that is not obvious on the listing is that there are 2 en-suite rooms and another bathroom. The master bedroom with en-suite is upstairs and accessed separately from the house through the private courtyard. Lots of on street parking and supermarkets nearby, as well as lovely beaches. Cecilia is a wonderful host and we felt very at home. I would highly recommend.

The renovated mill was magical. My husband, I and another couple stayed for 8 nights. Cecelia was a gracious and beautiful host! We couldn’t have imagined how perfect this location was. The town of Santanyi is filled with little shops and fantastic restaurants. Everything is within waking distance. We rented a vehicle and also rented bikes to make the most of our stay and explored much of the island. We were welcomed to the mill with a fridge stocked with wine, cheese, eggs and fruit. Coffee and vegetables too. Volkmar and Tekin were also there to help with any questions we had and were a wealth of information. The hospitality we received was unbelievable and heartwarming. The mill itself was so cool!! We spent evenings outside on the beautiful bougainvillea cover patio, playing cards, drinking wine and eating tapas. The immaculate small pool was a great place to cool off from the hot, sunny days. Anyone with a sense of adventure and love of historic unique buildings will fall in love with this place. We all want to go back!

Wir sind eine große Familie und waren schon häufig auf Mallorca in den unterschiedlichsten Häusern.Wer die Stadt Santanyi liebt wie wir, wird keinen besseren Spot als die Mühle von Cecillia finden.Die Mühle ist sehr charmant eingerichtet, Klima funktioniert wunderbar, die Betreuung durch Volkmar ist erstklassig. Drei Schlafzimmer, drei Bäder alles TOP.Highlight war das kurze Treffen mit Cecilia, 93 Jahre und so witzig und mit der Gnade ausgestattet, mehrere Sprachen zu sprechen.We will back soon.Thanx, Cecilia, Rodrigo und Volkmar

Le moulin n’est pas un simple logement de vacances mais une expérience à part entière. Cécilia est une grande dame parlant parfaitement bien le Français et qui sait vraiment recevoir. Quelle magnifique restauration et décoration, préservant l’authenticité et l’âme du lieu, tout en y intégrant le confort moderne. Le lieu est magique avec ses puis de lumière, ses pièces voûtées, son sol en terre cuite, son patio fleurie, sa terrasse sur le toit sans oublier la pergola fleurie et la piscine. On est comme à la campagne, à l’abris des regards et à quelques pas du centre. On s’y sent tellement bien. Nous avons profité 15 jours du moulin, sans voiture, arpentant la magnifique campagne en vélo électrique, découvrant les criques, le parc national.On recommande pour la qualité des prestations, le service , le calme et le charme.

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche in dieser schnuckeligen, toll renovierten alten Mühle! Sie ist noch viel schöner als auf den Fotos bei FeWo. Schon vor der Ankunft haben wir von Volkmar viele tolle Infos erhalten und wir haben einen gut gefüllten Kühlschrank vorgefunden. Herzlichen Dank, so startet der Urlaub gleich super! Danke auch, dass wir bei der Ankunft gleich morgens die Mühle beziehen und am Abreisetag lange bleiben durften! Volkmar hat sofort reagiert, wenn es mal eine Frage von uns gab. Auch die Lage ist toll: am Rand von Santanyi, aber trotzdem ist alles in dem Städtchen gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Herzlichen Dank für einen wunderschönen Urlaub, liebe Cecilia und lieber Volkmar! Sehr schöne Unterkunft, zentral und (fast immer) ruhig gelegen

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in der alten Mühle sehr genossen. Selten haben wir in einer Ferienunterkunft erlebt, dass der Kühlschrank bei unserer Ankunft mit allen notwendigen Lebensmitteln und mehr (u.a. Bier) gefüllt war und ein 30 Liter Trinkwasserbehälter für uns gratis zur Verfügung stand. Dafür möchten wir uns ganz herzlich bei Cecilia und vor allen Dingen bei Volkmar, der "Guten Seele des Hauses" bedanken. Neben guten Betten und der liebevollen Einrichtung des gesamten Wohn-und Schlafbereichs haben wir auch die gute Ausstattung der Küche (u.a. 5 flammiger Gasherd) sehr genossen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und geborgen in Cecilias alter Mühle gefühlt und würden gerne wiederkommen.

Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft mit vielen liebevollen Details und einer charmanten Einrichtung. Willkommensgruß inklusive. Man kann dort einen entspannten und sorgenfreien Urlaub verbringen. What makes this property unique

The house is perfectly located and makes it a pleasure to leave the car behind and walk or cycle to the village square (only four blocks away) where you have excellent pastries, perfect breakfasts, good bars, art galleries, famous Saturday and Wednesday markets. The beaches are very near (the nearest 7 min by car), some are surrounded by pine trees or Mediterranean flora.
