There were three things that let the house down. The first problem was a totally inadequate WiFi. To get a good signal you had to be in the little room where the box was. The WiFi was weak in the bedrooms and very poor in the garden. In this day and age that is not good enough.Secondly the grass in the garden was very overgrown and simply needed cutting. Both of those could be easily fixed and you would have a great house. The rooms are lovely and the Garden really good especially for a town house. The only other down side was that the pool was not heated. We knew that when we booked but it would have made an enormous difference to the holiday had it been heated. We were there in Mid may and it stopped a lot of people using the pool, and is likely to make us look elsewhere next year.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy

Stunning
From the outside, we did not quite believe how beautiful the house would be. Opening the gate, and the gasps from my family said it all! The pool is amazing- with part of it in the shade all day, the children could stay in without getting burned which was fantastic. Inside the house is roomy and decorated to a high standard. It was amazing to explore, and is also one of the best places to play hide and seek. All the children (12 through 21) had great fun. It is so close to the market square with the markets and mid week food festivals, it was brilliant. I would return again and have no hesitation in reccomending this to others.

Full of character and charm
Lisle Sur Tarn is a charming village, with a really beautiful square close to the property. Rail and bus links are only a short walk from the Villa and we used these as our main mode of transport during our stay.
The Villa is enchanting! Myself and 7 friends holidays on this occasion. There was plenty of space to accommodate us all, Really lovely outdoor seating areas and the walled garden is stunning.
The Villa was immaculately clean and the beds and bedding were if really high quality.
I highly recommend this beautiful Villa.

Perfect
This property is EXACTLY what you see in the advertisement; simply fantastic! It's perfectly situated; walking distance from the train station, which provides so many options for taking in the surrounding areas. Of course, it's also walking distance from the town square that has everything you need to compliment your stay; groceries, pubs, boulangerie, artisan shops and a Michelin Star-rated restaurant. The house itself is well-maintained; every room is perfectly decorated and equipped with plenty of space and storage. Having a full bathroom adjacent to every room was also a bonus!!

Idyllic stay
The house has been beautifully renovated in a classic French country style and has massive character and charm however is completely equipped for modern living . I loved the slightly uneven original floors. The garden area was well maintained and there is an outdoor terrace which catches the evening sun as well as a shadier covered outdoor dining and seating area. The pool was clean if somewhat bracing.
The property is situated close to the centre of the village which is ideal for popping out to the boulangerie or local bars however as it is completely enclosed is quiet and feels as though you are in the middle of the country.
A beautiful and tasteful home which surpassed all our expectations and which I would love to visit again.

About the host
Hosted by hutton
We live in Wales with our 2 children and various animals. We got to know this area of France when we stayed with friends some years ago. We both work so when we go on holiday we look for somewhere warm and relaxing, where we can have fun and is big enough for family or friends to join us.
Why they chose this property
We chose this area because it was so easy to get to (Toulouse airport is only 40 minutes away or a day's drive from Calais) and it offers a wide range of activities for everyone. There are the beautiful historic bastide towns and markets such as Cordes Sur Ciel, Puycelci and St. Antonin (where the film 'Charlotte Grey"' was shot) and opportunities for cycling, caving, water sports, such as kayaking and canoeing on the River Aveyron and water skiing on the lake near Albi. The spectacular Millau Viaduct over the Tarn is worth a visit.
What makes this property unique
This property offers everything we could need. The house is comfortable, with a reminder of its historic past in the beautiful floors, beams, and nooks and crannies. The house is fairly unique in that it seems secluded and private in its walled garden, yet you can slip out and buy croissants for breakfast at the boulangerie in the village square in literally two minutes!
