About this property

Quaint, Rustic, Quiet Retreat

Our cabin is on a large piece of property and includes several peaceful spots right along the river. Great for a family or friends getaway or for a retreat at any time of the year. Enjoy the mountains year round with skiing, hiking, rock climbing, or just relax in the comfortable surroundings. One bedroom downstairs with a queen bed; three beds upstairs in the finished dormer - 2 twins and 1 full bed. One and a half baths downstairs with a shower. There is also a futon on the enclosed porch. The property is located in the White Mountains just outside the National Forest. Lots of activities in the area, yet a quiet, tranquil and serene place to hide away. Within a few miles of small town stores and restaurants, sporting goods stores and coffee shops.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Gather all used towels, place in laundry rm. Wash, dry & return dishes back to orig spots in kitchen cabinets.
Place all trash in plastic bins outside by back deck. Please make sure cans are secured due to coyotes.
Turn all lights and a/c off & heat down to 65. Make sure front door facing road is locked & exit out back door where deck is. Hit # key on keypad & hold for 5-10 seconds till you hear it lock.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
The other buildings on this property are not for renters use.

This property is owned and offered by Mountain Mentors, a non-profit agency in Toledo, Ohio. Mountain Mentors empowering youth through one-on-one mentoring to make positive life choices. A highlight of the program is a week of hiking in the White Mountains, including a strenuous hike to the top of Mount Washington for those with great courage and stamina. This cabin is used as the base camp for the group, and we are pleased to be able to share it with you.

What makes this property unique

The setting is extraordinary with a small river in the back of the property, plenty of places to sit and ponder, and hiking trails to explore. The White Mountains are amazing all year round. By staying in this property you will be assisting our organization as we continue to help mentor teens. You will also find yourself in a beautiful, serene setting where you can relax and enjoy the outdoors year round.
