With its perfect location 5 minutes off the southern Yosemite highway, this amazing property is backed up to thousands of untouched acres to its south, east and west. Watch the Red Tailed hawks Soar in the canyons and lounge on the 500 square foot covered veranda while relaxing with your favorite wine. Enjoy this exceptional exclusive gathering place and expansive grounds with 10000 square feet of unrivaled recreation in the pool area. Cabanas, Pergolas, hammocks, huge outdoor dining and bbq area, tent camping area for the kids, bocce court, yard games, and plenty of private space for friends and family with some of the best views in the Sierra Nevada. We came during a winter storm, so we had high winds and lots of rain, so we were not able to enjoy all of the beauty that the outdoors provides but it was still amazing nonetheless. The home came with everything we needed for our stay, which made it extremely convenient and we were very grateful for. Dee was Available by text and was quick to respond. The location is remote and made this stay even more special. We can picture us being back to enjoy this place during the summer, we can't wait to book it!

Family stay and wedding event

This property was beautiful. Our daughter was married in Yosemite and we hosted a dinner here after. It is a stunning property. There was a ton of communication with the property manager who also offered to assist when it looked like the rental company would be late picking up tables and tableware. There is everything you need to entertain. The villa is so comfortable and spacious. I wish I could upload pictures. Would highly recommend.

Mountain Retreat

This Oakhurst property was perfect for our getaway. The mountain views were stunning, and the pool was a refreshing escape. We loved having a basketball and pickleball court on-site—great fun for everyone. The house was well designed, spacious, and well-equipped. The outdoor area, with plenty of seating and a grill, was a big plus. Proximity to Yosemite was a bonus. Highly recommend for a relaxing and active stay!

Fantastic Pool Area with Views

We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the backyard and the game room. We played air hockey, billiards, and ping pong. The pool area was very nice and we were able to enjoy the incredible sunsets. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

place was great, lot of fun

Place was great, we had planned on bringing our entire family, but the air quality was poor from the fire, which made it unpleasant . Our kids and our granddaughter opted out because of the smoke. We really enjoyed the house, especially the game room and the swimming pool ( but the air quality limited how much time we wanted to spend by the pool). The house very comfortable and relaxing, we hope to come back in the future

A Gorgeous Getaway

The home & Grounds were Amazing. My kids enjoyed the pool extremely (although heated water would've allowed the adults to swim as well) but the Hot Tub made up for it!! We also Loved the game room. Playing Pool was definitely a hit for our older boys. The Views were Breathtakingly Beautiful. Sunsets were Amazing!! We will DEFINITELY be back!! Thank you for sharing your home with us. The property sits on top of a hill and has gorgeous 200+ degree views, including from the front porch. The pool and adjoining area are huge. It’s also fully gated, a plus if you bring you pet. The property manager and owner were attentive. The only downside of the property—and not the fault of the property—is that’s about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Yosemite floor. But it’s close to the southern entrance of the park and close to Oakhurst for shopping and restaurants. I would definitely return.

Fabulous backyard

James and Dee were very responsive to any questions I had. There was a problem with one of the steps and James was there within minutes to fix it. The backyard was the main focus of our time here. Our daughter was married in Yosemite. We had the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception in the backyard. The long table was great for our whole family to sit and enjoy our time together. There was plenty of room for pur family. Sunsets were beautiful. My family loved playing pool and cornhole.

Best Family Vacation EVER!

Our family has been coming to Basslake for over 50 years, but this was our first time staying in Oakhurst. We absolutely loved it!!! Dee (property manager) was so kind and helpful and she showed us everything we needed to know about the Villa. We had a large group of 12, including teens, kids, toddlers and they all had a blast. Our whole family enjoyed the pool/jacuzzi and the sunset view really makes you appreciate Mother Nature. Gorgeous! The house was fully stocked and rooms/bedding were plentiful and comfortable. They really thought of everything! Plus - It’s only about a 15 min drive to the Pines/BassLake and same to Oakhurst town. Thank you so much for sharing your home. We had a magical time and cannot wait to come back next year!

The accommodations were fantastic. The views were spectacular. A house keeper is needed.

We arrived at the house only to find it still needed to be cleaned properly. The floors were not swept nor carpets vacuumed. Bathroom sinks had not been cleaned, nor mirrors or showers. The stove and kitchen counters were not cleaned, and food from prior renters was still in the refrigerator. After we spent two hours cleaning, vacuuming and discarding old food, we were finally able to settle in. The Caretaker was alerted to our concerns, and requests for repairs of necessary items were happily met. The views and surroundings were spectacular. More attention to detail is necessary when spending this kind of money on a vacation.

Peaceful, Beautiful and Rejuvenating

This trip was my gift to my son and his family for his 40th birthday. My daughter-in-law and I selected this lovely property because it checked all the boxes. We wanted a place that my son could unwind and relax in nature. We chose this property because of the location to Yosemite, the amenities, (pool, jacuzzi, games) and also, because this host allowed pets in the home. After reading the reviews we knew this was the place we would call home base for one week. We did not allow my son to see the property until we arrived. This lovely villa did not disappoint! When we drove up, we had a big reveal and a tour with the property manager, Dee who was warm and welcoming. She helped make the arrival a true celebration, she even hung up a happy birthday banner-it was a very nice touch. My son was extremely happy with our booking. All communication with the host, (James) was stellar. He was prompt in responses, very kind and extremely flexible. Dee was equally great, she provided recommendations to local spots in and around Bass lake, which we acted on and enjoyed them all. It was as my son put it, "a vacation to remember"! My granddaughters loved it too. As a mother and a grammy, I was overjoyed to see my family so happy! We will be back again! Thank you James and Dee!

Wow

This place was so nice it was tempting to not leave a review in hopes there would be more availability for us to return in the future. The views are incredible, the photos can't do them justice. It isn't a "luxury" home on the interior but that wasn't what our group was interested in. It was a little small for our group of 8 adult friends that weren't interested in sharing beds, but we obviously knew that going in and spent nearly all of our time outdoors so we didn't mind. The outdoor space is fantastic. Too cold to use the pool in April but nobody minded, or really had any plans to swim outdoors in April in the mountains to begin with. There was a cat on the property that we were asked to not let inside but it proved too difficult to achieve as it was determined to get in the door at all times. If you open the door to carry something out it would zip in. Extremely cute & friendly cat but worth noting in case a member of your party is allergic. For us the cute and friendly cat was a value add. Unanimous vote among all 8 of us that it is worthy of a repeat stay in the future if they will have us. We have done this trip every year for 10 years or so and this is only the 2nd place we have wanted to do a repeat.

Amazing outdoor area, like being at a resort!

My family of 5 (2 adults, 2 teens, 1 child) and my sister’s family of 3 (2 adults, 1 child) just had one of our best vacations ever visiting Yosemite and Bass Lake while staying at this gorgeous property. I cannot reiterate enough how amazing the pool area outside is! From the youngest kid to the oldest adult, we all wanted to spend as much time out there as possible! Dee, the property manager, is so helpful and communicated with us starting the week before, day of and throughout our 5 night stay. She was very responsive when we had concerns and even brought us a toaster oven and air fryer since the oven in the house needs to be replaced. (Yes, we spent lots of time at the house to enjoy the outdoor pool area and views of the mountains, so we wanted to cook!) I gave the home a 4 star on cleanliness of property only because there are areas (semi-hidden, but not completely) where things have been “stored” that are broken or need to be repaired that really just need to be hauled off the property - however these things in no way hindered our stay! The only other thing is there is constant drip right in front of the front door that you have to step to the side to not get dripped on when you walk outside. Dee mentioned this but it never stopped and the rug was sopping wet when left from it, so it is something that needs to be addressed. We would definitely stay here again! Distance to Bass Lake is 15 minutes Yosemite gate 30 minutes. Awesome location!

Yosemite basecamp oasis

Multiple family members joined for a week of Yosemite adventures! The house was a perfect oasis from the park. The outdoor space was amazing and made it a truly wonderful and relaxing vacation! The sunset views over the mountain range was amazing!Dee, the property manager was great to speak with and very helpful.Only negative comments I have would be some basic maintenance things could be beneficial and lighting upgrades. It’s pretty dark in the house.

Het landhuis had alles wat nodig was maar de tuin is in één woord fantastisch. Wat een ruimte met een groot zwembad een jacuzzi en diverse speel attributen. Wij hebben genoten van het uitzicht de rust en de echte natuur om ons heen.
