Anglesey hosts an impressive ecclesiastical history and there are churches dating back to the fifth century. Saint Patrick was ship wrecked at one location, and a church was built in thanksgiving for his survival.
The sarcophagus of Joanna, daughter of John the first of England, rests in another Anglesey church. Charles Dickens, the famous 19th century novelist, visited yet another church and established a fund for a memorial which still stands today, in memory of over 400 lives that were lost in one of the most devastating shipwrecks, the Royal Charter, off the North East coast of Anglesey in 1859.

On the Menai Straits there is the glorious stately home and gardens of Plas Newydd. Nearby is the village with the longest name in Europe, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.

Ann was a very friendly and welcoming host. The house was very clean and there was lots of guidance around the utilities. It was especially nice to receive a handwritten letter outlining points of interest both locally and across the island.

Thank you for your lovely review. So glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for leaving the cottage so clean and tidy, and looking forward to seeing you next year. Good wishes, Ann.
The Cottage is excellent placed with fantastic sea views of Bull Bay. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay. You can easily walk to a breathtaking point, where Dolphins/Porpoises, can be viewed. The owner is friendly and accommodating. Overall an enjoyable experience and we will certainly visit again in the future.
We had a nice time in this little cottage. Ann is a kind host who went out of her way to help us with a travel adapter. Although living next door and always available when we had questions, she gave us privacy. The beds are comfy and everything was clean. Again, thank you very much and all the best for you, Ann. Take care! Andrea and Markus

Thank you for your review and leaving the cottage so clean and tidy. I was glad you were able to explore Anglesey. Enjoy the remainder of your trip to Britain.
Ann was the perfect host, welcoming and on hand if we needed her.
I’ve looked at a previous review that was negative and must have been an utmost lie. We wanted for nothing. The electric meter had money on it and was fair. My 12 year old granddaughter was in her element going down to the ponies. There’s no light pollution so the night stars were amazing and we saw shooting stars.
The walks around Bull Bay are nearby and the views amazing.
We would like to thank Ann for being a perfect host and I would class her as family now. Thanks Ann

Dear God. what a lovely review you have left, Cath. Having you, John, Caitlin and gorgeous little Molly staying at my cottage was pure joy for me. You are all the most lovely people, such compassionate souls. I truly missed you when you left. God's blessing on all of you. Love, Ann XXX
Very nice little cottage on private premises with house of owner next to you. My daughter (19) and I were there with 2 small dogs. You can sit outside in the sun when nice weather and enjoy the great view! Owner Ann is very kind and has 3 dogs at this moment. There are also 3 pony's at the moment. There is a new (small, 1.40 metres) double bed which slept very well on my own. There was Netflix on colder nights 😅. Be aware that you have to put 1 pound coins in a metre for electricity. Ann put 5 coins in already for us. We stayed for 5 nights and had to put 5 coins extra (we also used the washing nachine a lot).

Liked: Location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
Too nosey for my liking
All was well until the host wanted to charge extra for damage which was very little and accidental. Some listing untrue ie no bbq no water park and pound coins never went in the machine so was watching wgat we used on the electric metre all the time. She waa vwey nosey and we felt like we was being watched all the time as she stated she filmed us once!! Weird. The dogs enjoyed the garden and wood lice was all over inside the house. Very basic and gladly will stay elsewhere next time.

These guests are reprehensible. The "review" is written from pure vindictiveness. The actual circumstances were that, against my advice, the male put a disposable barbecue on my wooden picnic table and burnt the table top.He dismisses the damage. I claimed from their damage deposit through Vrbo. They compounded the whole situation by LYING, to Vrbo ,initially, then when photographic proof was viewed by Vrbo, they chose to leave a malicious "review".
What a lovely place, the views are amazing and Anne (the host) was so friendly and helpful. My only minor negative was that the double bed was a metal framed one and made a lot of noise every time we moved lol... a great place and we look forward to going back sometime in the future.
Stayed at this lovely property for a week, only 200yds off the the coastal path, the owner is really nice, got to see some porpoises on the last day 5 mins from the cottage. Already booked to go back later in the year.
I cannot recommend this gem of a place enough from the stunning scenery, idyllic cliff walks to the warmth of the host Anne.
It is a very safe environment for children and pets alike.
Anglesey is a beautiful island with many beautiful bays beaches and historic monuments varying every age.
We are hoping to return to Anne her 3 beautiful dogs and ponies soon
