Great Property and hosts
The property is great for families ready to explorer the French Riviera- located at a prime spot near everything
Hosts are excellent
A charming comfortable rustic old farmhouse run by a friendly couple ready to help. Location is the best of both worlds , in the countryside with views of mountains and close to epic beaches on the French Riviera .

Thanks so much for the review, glad you enjoyed your stay with us!
We had a wonderful week in Melinda and Ed’s farmhouse. They have done an amazing renovation and furnished the property tastefully. The house is super comfortable with ample space throughout. The kitchen is well equipped. The garden and outside areas are lovely. The surroundings are so tranquil and we all spent many hours around the pool- very conducive to a very relaxing holiday! The property is in a convenient location within easy access of the coast or for exploring inland. Melinda and Ed were very attentive hosts. Thank you both for a memorable week!

Thank you so much for your kind review, it was a pleasure meeting you all. Thanks for looking after the house so well!
Great stay with friends and family in this beautifully restored farmhouse and garden. The teenagers loved the pool, bikes, table tennis and feeding the donkeys in the neighbouring field. The bedrooms are all a good size with very comfortable beds. The kitchen is well equipped and we made good use of the gas barbecue, with long evening meals on the patio. The terrace outside the master bedroom is perfect for morning coffee, and the terrace at the top has spectacular views for evening drinks. The kids loved the lake activities at the end of the road, and we had day trips to Nice, Monaco, Port Grimaud and St Raphael. Ed and Melinda were great hosts and very helpful when we needed them. A perfect place for larger gatherings where everyone has their own space.

Thank you so much for your fantastic review, makes it all worth while! It was an absolute pleasure hosting you and your family, you were really perfect guests! We hope to see you again sometime in the future
From booking the communication process was excellent and we had all our questions answered so quickly.
When we arrived at the house, everything was as expected and we just loved the place! It was suitable for all of our needs and we were so comfortable here for the ten nights.
We also organised our wedding ceremony to take place in the gardens and it was absolutely perfect for the occasion. We had our close family and friends over from Scotland and the house was the most outstanding backdrop for the wedding!
We had an excellent stay here and would absolutely recommend it!

Thanks so much Rachael, it was our pleasure and your wedding looked stunning! Looking forward to seeing the photos 🤩
Our group of six adults spent one week in Melinda and Ed's farmhouse. They are the perfect hosts. Through renovations over a period of many years, they've created an exquisite homestead and grounds and we were ecstatic. We prepared our meals in their well designed kitchen, and spent two evenings dining on their covered patio. Most days, we explored Nice, Cannes, and Saint-Tropez (and Monaco), and took advantage of their wonderful beaches and restaurants (our group included three chefs). What is not to love about the Côte d'Azur! We highly recommend this Bastide des Planets.

A perfect getaway
Just had a terrific holiday at the Harland mansion. The house is beautifully situated between the river and vineyards within reach of so many activities (gorges, lake, beach, old towns or trendy boulevards). The house itself is well kept and immediately felt like home, each room a surprise. All utilities within a hands reach.
The hosts Melinda and Eduard are very friendly and eager to help out if problems arise.
The space around the house makes it able to walk around with our dogs without fear of having them run over which is a luxury nowadays. Altogether we had 2 beautiful weeks and definitely will return some day

Fantastic Family Accomodation
We're Two families with grand parents.Large beautiful garden with pool, BBQ area with fountain. The farmhouse was clean and renovated to a v. High standard. Cool during the hot day. Stone floors. Oozing character. Bedrooms were elegant and bathrooms to good standard and air conditioned which made sleeping easy. A family home with books games for children, Tv and all mod cons. Really private. Fantastic for two families. Kitchen equipt With everything you might need beautiful!!! A gem. The pictures don't do the place justice on the website. So much more to experience in the farmhouse. Good taste through out.. Thank you for such a memorable holiday and for all of the extras you provided for us. Definitely recommend to my other family and friends. They have been blown away by the photographs😲 The Pool was great to cool off and children played. Lidl 3 minutes by car nearby. Mossy spray needed for sitting out at night. Many thanks.

We really appreciate your fantastic review and thank you for booking with us!

Thanks very much for your feedback, we appreciate it!
Many thanks Melinda and Edward!
Wonderful house, friendly people, fully equipped kitchen. Only thing we missed was a microwave to heat the food of our babies. Maybe also a good idea to cover the outside sitting area with a mosquito net. Overall great stay, highly recommended.

The house is a restoration triumph. Really sensitively done to provide ample space for a large family.... we were 9 in total. The bedroom layout was great for 4 couples with a twin room for the solo! I was worried about the size of the pool for 7 energetic young adults but it was more than adequate.
There is plenty to do a little further afield so we took the opportunity to go to St Tropez (busy and over-priced) would recommend St Maxine which is even closer. Lac du St Croix at the end of the Verdon Gorge was a great day out.
We all enjoyed getting "home" where we cooked most evenings, probably the best equipped kitchen we've ever come across.
It was lovely sitting out together with amazing views of Roquebrune hill/mountain as a backdrop. The weather was amazing 30 degrees plus.
We would highly recommend. The only slight issue was the mosquitoes and we'd not prepared properly. If you use repellant they weren't an issue but would suggest use day one and not on day 2!!!!
All in all we had a thoroughly relaxing holiday in a beautiful house.
Het huis is in één woord “Fantastisch”
Geweldige locatie met zwembad.

Sun in the South
A beautiful area of France where there was plenty to do. Swimming and kayaking on the lakes, cycling around the area, visiting the local towns, seeing the fireworks at Cannes and so much more!!! The property was perfect for two families and had everything that you could possibly need. Beautiful gardens and plenty of space to sit out and a pool to relax around. Gorgeous views. Thank you.

About the host
Hosted by Edward Harland
I live and work on our farm here in France, where we grow organic vegetables. We moved here in 2002 to work on a small farm, and then decided to stay and create something of our own. My wife, myself and our two teenagers have all been working to restore and develop this fantastic place into a comfortable and peaceful family home.
Why they chose this property
The property was an old vineyard, which had been left derelict for many years. It has plenty of land and space , with fantastic views all around , which is what enticed me to buy the place and restore the existing bastide...a monumental task which has really become something beautiful and satisfying. We love the area with its rugged terrain and rock formations. It also offers the conveniences of the nearby village and shopping areas, with great access to the beaches and motorway, which pleases my wife!
What makes this property unique
You will enjoy the rural beauty of the farm land, which gives the impression of being very remote. There are many attractions for nature lovers, ramblers and sportsmen, as well as entertainment at the nearby lake for the kids. The beautiful Argens river runs alongside part of the property, offering wonderful bird life and a tranquil canoe ride in the evening.
A great review I want to include, which says it all: Hello Edward, we are so sorry we haven't written a review yet. Now, according to the system, the deadline has expired. Is there any way to write something?
That would be our text: We spent a wonderful week in this idyllic place. The house is tastefully and lovingly furnished, with great attention to detail. Everything was wonderfully coordinated and you immediately feel at home when you enter the house. The garden is quiet and well-kept with lots of cozy places to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The place is a bit hidden, a breal hideaway, but you can still get everything you need (restaurants and shops) in a couple of minutes by car. We would love to come back and can recommend the accommodation without exception.
