Marathon Weekend Break

This property is an ideal place to stay for a long weekend. It offers clean well appointed rooms with shared facilities of a large kitchen and main living room. The host is pleasant, efficient, accommodating and polite. We were made to feel at home straight away and look forward to our next visit .

Absolutely lovely

We moved to Babs’ property after a different booking wasn’t quite as expected. This was a real home from home; peaceful and relaxed. Babs is an approachable and warm host. Would definitely stay again.

Great host in Brighton

The host of this B&B is very friendly and the communication with her worked excellently both before and during the stay. Breakfast is well organized.The B&B is easy to access, walking distance from the centre but there is also an excellent bus service.

Fine Accomodations - Communications a Burden

A more traditional check-in with an email how to use the front door lockbox for a key would have made the visit very simple, but instead the host demanded an in person meeting even though she herself is a busy person with other rental places to be. The host "yelled" at me and attempted to shame me on two seperate phone calls asserting that I was holding her up as she is a busy person. OK. My international flight was delayed 22-hours, rental car reservation not held due to the flight being delayed, and my USA phone didn't work upon arrival to the UK. I paid for the room in advance and was not aware that I was obligated to report to anyone. The Host implied I was making up my travel woes that it couldn't take a couple hours to get that straightened out and I should have called her. Truth is I didn't know she was expecting to conduct an in person interview before giving me the keys. I anticipated a lockbox and super easy check-in. After the second unnecessary yelling session on the phone from the Host, this time about extending my stay, I decided not to extend my stay at this location and found alternate accommodations on the beach in the same town. If you are lucky enough to travel without without any issues it's an OK stay. But if you have any travel issues at all this could make it worse. I left the room neat and clean. The facility is OK but I left and did not extend my stay although I was in this town a few more nights.

Our host was really welcoming and the house was great, as was our room and the facilities. It was well located and can easy walk into the town and sea front. Would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic place to stay

This is definitely our ‘go to’ preferred place to stay when we visit Brighton . We will be regular visitors over the next few years as my partners son will moving there permanently.

Lovely friendly owner who cannot do enough for you. Very comfortable bed (always helps). We had a shared bathroom, but it was huge and right next to tge room. We would recommend 100%. Great value

A lovely stay

I really felt at home and it was lovely to meet both Babs and Branston the cat. Babs is so kind and really cares about her guests. She will tell you anything you need to know. The house is really nice and modern and the beds are extremely comfy. Endless amounts of toiletries are available in the bathroom and an amazing shower! There is so much choice for breakfast and if you’re lucky Babs will make you her special crumpets, I won’t ruin the recipe on here! It was so good I will definitely be staying with Babs again in the future.

A fabulous house and host. Well positioned to experience all that Brighton has to offer.

We had an awesome 2 night break at this property, whilst visiting our daughter who is at Brighton University. BABS is a fabulous host, who provided a warm welcome into her home. We wanted to take both BABS and her shower home with us. Looking forward to returning soon.
