Since this property address is hard to pin down on GPS (it is behind another road front property), it would be helpful to receive a message with a photo of the roadside surfboard that marks the driveway. The host (and manager) response was consistently excellent.
You won’t get the resort experience here. What you will get is a clean, well- supplied cottage in a nice neighborhood with a friendly and helpful owner all at a bargain price. Also, if you like tropical vegetation, it is like living in a jungle. This was our second stay here, and we would stay again.
This property looks a bit better in the pictures than in real life but it was nice. The host was very nice and a great communicator.
The one suggestion I have is to bring your own body wash, shampoo and conditioner because the product that was supplied seemed old and cheap and there wasn’t enough toilet paper provided for the amount of time we stayed. Other than these minor details it was good.
overall, hostess was amazing ,perfect location ,beautiful garden

Juliana and her friend were the most fun, sweet, and amazing women of all time. They were also great guests and left my place sparkling clean and orderly. We all had a blast getting to know one another and hope they come to visit us again!
Diana is so amazing, this was our second time staying here. Highly recommended for any length of stay!

Mahalo Steve,
It is always a pleasure hosting you both, and I'm always happy to have you here. You are always the ideal, low-key guests, and you are a particular part of my Ohana! I'm looking forward to having you two again soon!
When we got there the first thing was that there were multiple properties. The first one was gated so we assumed it was not that one. The second one had a keypad (to which host gave us code) so we assumed that was ours. We went in but we were confused with the amount of rooms so we texted the host to which multiple hours passed by and she did not respond. We put our luggage in the rooms we thought were ours and hours later she called us while we were out (and it was late) to tell us we were in the wrong house and that she removed our luggage from the rooms (which we had locked) and made us hand over the key to the rooms to other people who were staying there. After that she guided us to the house which we were actually supposed to stay at and asked us where we were from to then say “do people from there not know how to read?”. (RUDE) She also asked us how we got into the other house (SHE GAVE US THE CODE????). She was honestly super rude and made us feel very uncomfortable and scared of doing anything thinking that she was gonna get mad. She was also always there!! As well as other people next door. And one of the rooms was next to a creepy trailer so there was always a man that could easily look into that rooms window if open.
Diana is a wonderful host! We had everything we needed at the property. It is clean and well maintained with beautiful landscaping and convenient parking. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and proximity to family living in the area. The national park is about an hour away. Downtown Hilo, with many shops and restaurants is about a 10 minute drive. We explored several trails and beaches within a half hour drive from our location. We would enjoy staying here again!
Wonderful location near downtown Hilo and beaches, about a half hour drive to Volcanoes National Park. The host is so thoughtful and generous, she really is exceptional. The unit is equipped with everything you need and very clean.
Great location for us just minutes from our daughter’s apartment and Diana was always helpful and responsive when we reached out. Thanks for a lovely stay, Diana!

Property was a perfect distance to Hilo, quiet community but easy to get Ubers if needed. Cottage was exactly as displayed and it made our whole trip as relaxing as could be. Thank you Diana!!
This is a really cute 2 bedroom, 1 bath Ohana unit. Full kitchen and refrigerator made it convenient to have breakfast before heading out for the day. Diana was amazing and we Will definitely be booking this again when we travel back to Hilo. Mahalo much for the hospitality.
My family loved our stay in the Ohana Cottage. The house is clean and the beds are really comfortable. Diana is incredibly kind and very responsive. My mom has mobility issues and Diana went out of her way to make sure she had easy access to the house. I highly recommend the Ohana Cottage! Thanks, Diana!

Mahalo for your business, for being fantastic guests and for your wonderful review which! Much appreciated!
This property was perfect for our stay in Hilo. I love the local neighborhood and the cottage was exactly as pictures and well equipped with everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable and we felt like we were at home. Diana is the most amazing host - excellent communication, extremely accommodating and generously shared the fruits of the property with us. When I'm back in Hilo, this will be my first choice of places to stay.

Colleen and her husband Steve are practically 'ohana' and I adore them and happy to host them anytime. I'm flattered to have them chose to let me host them twice in a row and I look forward to their next trip. I can't ask for better guests!
Thanks to Diana and her staff for the great stay. The home we stayed at together with Diane and her people gave a true flavor of the Hawaiian life style - friendly, kind and laid back. Thanks for a great stay, we’ll be back. James & Jeong G

Much mahalo, Amanda, for the kind and sweet review. I loved hosting such appreciative and good-hearted guests as yourself and am happy to do all I can to ensure a comfortable and satisfactory stay.
Lovely self-contained 2 bedroom annex. Had all the necessities. We arrived late at night, so it took a little bit of time to find the actual room (as it's not the main building), but once in, all was fine. Thank you Diana for a lovely stay.
