Villa Agava has found its place above the centre of the small picturesque town of Vrboska on the island of Hvar. Villa offers luxurious accommodation, private swimming pool and 300 square meter big garden with 2 parking places. Vrboska is small touristy place and thankfully to its position villa is only 2 minutes from the sea and 4 minutes (by foot) from the centre of the town. In villa you will be able to rest, find your inner peace and to enjoy your holiday discovering the charm of this very romantic Dalmatian place.
For our guests we organize transfer per extra charge from Split airport to the Split ferry.
Our recommendation is to rent a car at Sun city agency (www.suncity.hr) on island Hvar.
Sun city agency will organize car waiting on arrival to Stari grad port (island Hvar) and after making a reservation for your stay at Villa Agava guests will receive 10% discout promotional code.
If a guest choose not to take the car we will also organize transfer per extra charge from Stari grad port to the house.
For transfer organizing it is required to make a request with all the needed details at least 3 weeks before arrival.
if a request is made within these 3 weeks prior to arrival we cannot guarantee transfer.

Great villa with amazing outdoor area

This is a great villa in a brilliant spot close to the town of Vrboska and also close to some amazing beaches. The standout thing about the villa is definitely the pool and outdoor area. Bedrooms are a little small but as most of our time was outdoors that wasn’t an issue. The hosts were super helpful and I would highly recommend it.

Stylish Villa

Villa Agave is new and stylish with good but not overspacious accommodation and a big garden with lovely sparkling clean swimming pool. We were just a couple with 2 small dogs and we found it ideal as it would be for a family of four. When 2 adults joined us for a while, it was a little cramped, particularly with the smallish bathroom. The kitchen is fine for holiday catering but more plates, glasses and cutlery would be helpful especially if there are 4 people in the villa. There are plenty of good cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. There are a good variety of swimming places close by and the walking is wonderful for the dogs with plenty of shade when it's hot. The owner, who lives next door some of the time, is a sweet person who was always helpful whenever we needed advice. The villa is surrounded (though not too close) by other villas. We were never troubled by this, partly because it was early in the season and many were unoccupied. We were disturbed at times by building works on nearby properties. We had a fabulous holiday in Vrboska on the beautiful island of Hvar where we walked miles and discovered many unspoilt villages and pretty beaches.

We stayed at this villa as a family of 4. 2 adults, a 3 year old and a 4 month old. The outside space is great, pool has sun all day, outside eating area is great. Beds are comfy which is always a bonus! Maja is very helpful for anything you need. A great holiday! Thank you. Great location too.

Lovely location in a beautiful, quiet town

We holidayed at Villa Agava with two of our children aged 15 and 19 and had a fantastic 2 weeks. The villa owners, Maja and Ante, did everything possible to make our stay as memorable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble for them from arranging transfers from Split airport, explaining where to go on Hvar, what to see and which restaurants were best value including making bookings for us. The villa is so well located in Vrboska, just a stones throw from the harbour and marina and close to a number of very good restaurants, supermarkets and other amenities. The villa is on the small side but perfect for a family of 4 with as much if not more outside living space as there is inside. The pool is fantastic - kept immaculately clean by Ante - with south facing terraces catching the sun from early morning to late evening, From the villa there are a few nice beaches within walking distance and many just a short drive away either towards Jelsa or along the coast towards Stari Grad. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday, Villa Agava has everything you could wish for.

Beautiful well kept villa with very helpful owners

Villa is lovely and in a good location. Bedrooms on the small side but apart from that had everything we needed as 2 couples. Local village has a few good restaurants and shops. Sea is 5 mins away but what I would call a beach is more like 20 mins walk. Buses and taxis easy to sort to other parts of the island. Definitely get restaurant recommendations from Ante for vrboska, jelsa and for peka! Highly recommend

Beautiful property in a peaceful relaxing location

We spent a week here and have had a super time. The location of the villa is ideal for a quieter break but close to restaurants and bars if you want a livelier evening. The beaches are gorgeous and I would highly recommend a morning coffee in the harbour for a bit of relaxation and mindfulness.

Great villa in a quiet location

Clean, well maintained villa in a quiet location only 5 minutes walk from the shops and restaurants of Vrboska. Great location for exploring the western end of Hvar - Hvar town, Stari Grad (our favourite), Jelsa and Vrboska. Nice to have the pool which was cold at first but very refreshing in the heat once you acclimatised. Villa has everything you need for breakfast. Good large Tommy supermarket 10 mins drive away by Stari Grad ferry. Do take the seaplane ride to Split from Jelsa every day at 10am then come back on the high speed catamaran ferry from Split at 1630, Split is a nice city and a great day out. Lots of nice walks too from the villa both around the headland to the beach and from Vrboska to Jelsa. Also you can hire bikes in the village. Ante the owner was most helpful giving us lots of restaurant recommendations many of which we tried and thoroughly enjoyed. 4 or 5 days is probably enough to explore the western end of Hvar (the eastern half has nothing to recommend it!!). Car needed.

Amazing holiday!

This was the best holiday my family and I have ever had! The villa is perfect - very clean and welcoming with a beautiful decking and pool area. My children particularly liked going in the pool in the dark with the pool lights on flashing!!! Vrboska itself is peaceful and beautiful with lots of small restaurants and cafes and a great winery - Pinata. Do try the wine tasting - we went with our children and they very happily sat and played games while we chatted to the owner. Also the wine we bought there was brilliant and really inexpensive. But whilst the villa was amazing, what made this holiday for us was Maja and Ante (and of course Marla!). They were fantastic hosts from booking to the day we left. They organised all our transfers from Split, shopped for us so we had food in the fridge when we arrived and were constant sources of help and advice throughout the 2 weeks. Ante booked dinners at amazing hidden little restaurants that we would have never found ourselves and booked transport for us so we could have a drink. I particularly recommend the restaurant in the abandoned village - so special! I think Ante also got us the best tables every time! He also booked us a day on a speedboat which was the best day we've had ever!! Highly recommend! Ante and Maja were available all the time to answer questions and help organise days out but never interfered or turned up unannounced - perfect hosts! I cannot recommend this villa more - we will be back!!

Perfect Place with Perfect Hoss

The place was perfectly clean and functional. It had all of the comforts that one would need and is a well maintained property. It is also nicely located in the quaint town of Vrboska which is well positioned on the island. The thing that makes this place really memorable and unique is the incredible customer service you get from the owners, Maja and Ante. They are so hospitable that my wife and I couldn't believe it. They are always there for you, lining up days and booking restaurants. Our son got a cut on his head and they had the paramedics waiting outside of the hospital so that by the time we got there he was in and out in 8 minutes with a stitch. They are so nice and remarkably helpful and friendly. You really need people like them to get the most of your vacation since Hvar isn't that easy to navigate otherwise.

We will be back !

We spent a delightful 12 days at the Villa Agava and have just booked to return next year this time for a little longer. The property was just as it said in the description and was very clean and well cared for. The owners were very attentive even though they could not be on site this trip they kept in regular touch with us and were helpful and full of ideas to make the holiday perfect. The village of Vbroska is a jewel small ,friendly and quiet. We loved the beaches and the sea and and spent most days just relaxing. Since we have returned we have been in touch with the owners and they have been really responsive to ideas and suggestions we look forward to returning in 2015. Thank you a real treat.

Wonderful Stay

This villa was perfect for what we needed. A beautiful spot in beautiful surroundings. I can't thank Maja and Ante enough for being so generous with their time in the run up to the holiday and when we were there with my many questions. If I had to quibble about anything I would have liked to have an extra bathroom to accomodate 4 adults but that is more of a luxury than a necessity. The outdoor space more than made up for this with its big eating area and the fabulous pool. We will definitely be back.

Villa Agava

We combined a week staying at Villa Agava with another week on the mainland in Dubrovnik. Villa Agava is perfect for a family of 4, it is compact inside but we loved the covered terrace & pool area. It is the perfect base for exploring the nearby towns of Jelsa & Stari Grad and a scenic drive away from Hvar Town. A short walk from the villa brings you to the centre of pretty Vrboska & the beautiful rocky bathing area with its clear water. The views on this island are stunning, we loved it and hope to return one day!

Stylish villa in a charming town

Villa Agava was exactly as described on the website. It was a modern, clean, stylish, compact villa with the added bonus of a large outside covered seating area and a lovely swimming pool. It was the perfect holiday home for myself, my wife and two teenage daughters. Maja and Ante were also the perfect owners, providing us with all the information we needed from the initial booking to our two week stay in Vbroska. It was reassuring to know they were their to help. Vbroska itself is a charming small town with a handful of restaurants, bars, cafes as well as all the ammenities you need. Every morning was a delight to walk around the harbour to pick up our breakfast from the bakers and fresh fruit stall. During the evenings the village came to life and the harbour was a perfect backdrop to the restaurants that surround it. We hired a car and visited all corners of the island and our highlights would have to be exploring the back streets of Stari Grad and Hvar Town, the walk from Vbroska to Jelsa and finding perfect isolated coves to swim in, Zavalas coastline and the boat trips to Hell island and Bol, with plenty of Dolphins to keep us company. The winery by the fortress is also a must to taste some of their exceptional wines. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommended villa agava

beautiful villa, great hosts

This villa is everything you expect from the listing and more! The owners couldn't be more helpful, anything we needed we just had to ask. The pool was great to keep cool and any man would have fun cooking on that bbq. Location perfect, lovely walk into the beautiful town, plenty of bars and restaurants, think we ate in most, great food in all. Bakeries and fruit stall also great. Perfect family holiday, thank you Ante and Maja we will be back!

Gem in Vrboska

Majas lovely holiday home in Vrboska is an excellent location from which to discover the magical island of Hvar. Inside, the accommodation is compact and comfortable - ideal for a family of 4. Outside, the terrace is spacious and is a really pleasant spot for lunch or a glass of wine. The pool is sparklingly clean, with a very nice seating area for sunning yourself. Swimming off the rocks at the bathing spot over the hill was a wonderful experience and the views are to die for! There were also lots of other really nice bathing options on the coast road from Vrboska to Jelsa. Vrboska itself is a charming little village and the nearby towns of Jelsa and Stari Grad are very pleasant for a wander in the evening and for a nice meal. Hvar town is about 35 minutes away by car and is well worth a visit - drive back the long windy route over the mountains for spectacular views! If we had any questions, Maja or Ante were always easy to contact. All in all, I would highly recommend this little gem in Vrboska for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing hideaway in a truly beautiful part of the world.

Amazing and true to its word

This villa was perfect. Clean, tidy, modern, comfortable and ideal location. The swimming pool was excellent. Most importantly the landlady was unbelievable. She provided one to one tourist information and was available when we contacted her mobile. I have never been so impressed by someone and she was utterly professional incredibly helpful and interesting and really I cannot recommend this villa and its owners more. Thank you Mija for everything.
