Only 4km from the amazing Provençal town of Uzès, this traditional character stone house has 4 bedrooms, renovated to a high standard with the addition of a beautiful orangery made from local stone. The pool had a major refurbishment for 2024, along with a new enlarged terrace finished in travertine. There is ample parking space. Spacious salon on the first floor with french doors opening on to terrace. Additional living room on the ground floor with french doors to south facing terrace. Large open plan kitchen with central island and archway to spacious dining area with exposed stone and magnificent stone fireplace in the local Uzès style. The gardens are landscaped to create a courtyard feel providing beautiful stone terracing. Many original features retained throughout the renovation including a number of exposed stone walls and archways. Located in one of the most beautiful medieval villages in the area, only 4km from the stunning, historic Duchy town of Uzès. Private secluded garden offers choice of sun or shade, with 8x4m pool (June to September). Next to the pool there is a summer kitchen with bbq and a large dining table and chairs, providing shade for lunch on the hottest days of the summer. It is also perfect for dining on balmy evenings . It is only a 10 minute walk to the well stocked village shop which has freshly baked bread, here you can enjoy a coffee or glass of wine. There is an excellent restaurant only 2 minutes walk away and also another 5 minute walk away, as well as many other high end restaurants within a ten minute drive away. There are many wonderful restaurants in Uzès as well as the surrounding villages. You are spoilt for choice! It is 1 hour's drive to the Mediterranean beaches and the Camargue, which is an area of outstanding beauty, famous for its wildlife including its famous flamingoes. To the north lies the Cevennes national park and the many pretty villages along the valley of the River Cèze. Golf at nearby Uzès, or Nimes. 15 minutes to the World Heritage Site of the Pont du Gard, for river swimming and canoeing.
On arrival, our housekeeper will meet you to welcome you. Bed linen is provided and beds are made upon arrival. Bathroom towels are provided along with pool towels.Table linen is provided. Accommodation may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility. The house is prepared for your arrival and should be left on departure in a similar condition. Additional cleaning can be arranged directly with our housekeeper.

A week in Saint Siffret

Just had a week in Saint Siffret and it was fabulous. The house and grounds were excellent and had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Saint Siffret is a beautiful very quiet village and Uzes about 4km away was a real find. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

Stunning, charming house in pittoresque village

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful home. The house is everything that one can dream of. It is beautifully furnished and has lots of charm. The kitchen is incredible and has everything one needs to cook some delicious meals. We loved the outside area which had sunshine and shade, whatever you needed. The different terraces and the BBQ place allowed us to have some cozy evenings. The pool was perfect and a great size for all of us. Sitting under the trees at the pool was a real treat. And having so many fun pool toys and blow-up toys was a great surprise. The owners are super friendly and helpful and were there to assist us with any question that we had. The air conditioning was a real treat at night when it was hot outside. The village is pittoresque and beautiful to walk around. We loved the evening event in the little park. The drive to Uzes only takes 10 minutes and there is a lot to do in the area. There is a big supermarket only a short drive away. We highly recommend this house. It is a small piece of paradise in Provence.

Familieferie i St Siffret

Vi hadde et kjempekoselig opphold i boligen i St. Siffret. Eiere er svært imøtekommende og enkle å kommunisere med. De tipset oss om spisesteder o.l. da vi skulle feire min manns 60-års dag der nede. Dette er et stort og flott gammelt hus som er nydelig renovert. Flott kjøkken og herlig uteområde med basseng. Vi fikk oppgitt 4 soverom, men to av disse var på loftet og var ubrukelige som soveplass. Ikke mulig i varmen og lite trivelige. Vi måtte sove i stuene og det var ikke helt som vi hadde sett for oss. Vi måtte også ta mye rengjøring ved ankomst, soverom og bad, men heldigvis var vi bare to første uken. Forøvrig var det et herlig sted. Store uterom med utepeis og grill, skyggefulle sitteplasser som vi benyttet mye. Nærhet til turområder og mulighet for å benytte 2 sykler var veldig populært, og noen av de yngre fikk benytte seg av den lokale tennisbanen. Det ble satt stor pris på. Huset har godt vaskerom og lagringsplass og er vel utstyrt.

A wonderful house, very well equipped and ideal for our family holiday with ages ranging from 1 - 60

We stayed for one week during August. The description of the house was accurate and all the rooms, facilities and equipment were just as we hoped. The owners were very kind making sure we had a cot, highchair etc and the pool is securely fenced which gives peace of mind if you have young children. The pool is a good size and the area is great with plenty of loungers and a brilliant outdoor dining area with a barbecue which we used almost every night. There are plenty of other sitting/shady areas which made lunch and breakfast equally enjoyable. The only downside was that the bedrooms at the top of the house were incredibly hot, but I think that would have been true of anywhere in Southern France that week as the temperatures soared. The local village is picturesque, the shop which is in walking distance is really useful and we ate out at both the restaurants which we could walk to. Lots of other local places were interesting and easily reached, but in general it was so hot we stayed put and just enjoyed staying in such a great property. Both before and after the stay the owners were efficient and helpful and during our stay, the local housekeeper and pool guy went out of their way to help us. This property really comes highly recommended.

Un excellent séjour

Nous avons passé une formidable semaine en familles (2) avec enfants (6). La maison est décorée avec gout. Les deux suites parentales sont très confortables avec leur salle de bains respective. Cette maison est aussi agréable à l’extérieur (différents endroits pour petit déjeuner en terrasse dans le jardin ou diner barbecue sous le auvent) qu’à l’intérieur. Les enfants ont été enchantés par la piscine qui tient toutes ses promesses. La propriétaire est très réactive. L’accueil (ainsi que le départ) par l’agent local est efficacement et chaleureusement mené. Les petits détails font la difference ( jolie vaisselle de qualité, aucun ustensile ne manque, tout est en état de marche). Décidément, cette maison a été bien pensée dans sa restauration comme dans sa décoration pour un excellent séjour familial...comme celui que nous venons de vivre. Bravo.

We loved it!

This is a wonderful house in a fantastic setting.The website details describe the house very well and the house is very well equipped. We loved the farm next door for farm fresh fruit, veg, jam and apricot juice (Tues &Thurs ) The wine at the local vineyard excellent. We stayed for 2 weeks but should have stayed for 3. Would definitely recommend and would book again .

Fabulous place to holiday

We found the house to be very well furnished and equipped, we had everything we needed. It is spacious and we found the choice of sitting areas very useful allowing the families to spread out. We enjoyed the pool very much and loved the Summer Kitchen, perfect for lunches out of the hot sun and long lazy evening meals. The village is very pretty, we had a lovely meal at the restaurant over the road as well as enjoying early evening drinks on the terrace at the front of the restaurant on a few occasions, the staff were very welcoming. We also got pizza's to take out from the pizza restaurant just outside the village, to the north. It has a lovely terrace to be able to enjoy Al fresco meals. We loved Uzes, a beautiful town, nice to pass time in the cafes of the Place aux Herbes. The market at St Quentin la Poterie is great to visit on Friday mornings and the Pont du Gard is worth a visit, there is an interesting visitors centre there. In all, a great house in a beautiful part of France, an area I would certainly want to return to.

Incredible place

This is simply an incredible property. Close by to the beautiful town Uzes but very much it's own place, surrounded by some of the most stunning landscapes in the South of France. The property embodies both the old and the new, comfort with character and has the perfect kitchen and patio for gathering around with the spoils of a day spent in the local markets and vineyards. Chill in the garden and the pool area or pop down to the local café and linger in the charm of St. Siffret.
