This comfortable villa, with a striking linear design, was created to highlight the precious aspects of both the mountain and the sea. With this in mind, it offers a wonderful flow from the inside living areas to the outdoor patios, both front and back.

In the front, overlooking the whole of Camps Bay, is a glazed tiled patio that is highlighted by both, a deep blue rim flow pool & sparkling outdoor Jacuzzi spa bath, as well as other spacious entertainment areas, both tiled and lawn.

The rear of the villa enables one to walk on the wild side by simply stepping off the fan cobbled terrace right onto the slopes of Table Mountain National Park… the Twelve Apostles!


Indoors: On entering the Villa through the plant lined entrance hall, you will find a formal lounge with an open fire place, living room, dining room, (double volume with large picture window), games room (with chess, dart board, pool table, air hockey table & soccer table), fully equipped kitchen and laundry.

There are 4 bedrooms, comfortably sleeping 8 people, along with 3 bathrooms (main en-suite with spa bath & dressing room). Sleeping facilities can also be arranged in the very large games room, which is the highest room in the Villa with its own patio & unobstructed views of the whole of Camps Bay & the Table Mountain Nature Reserve. Each bedroom is equipped with its own Smart TV, air conditioner (heating & cooling), safe, torch & hair drier.

Parking & Security : A large remote controlled double garage (with lots of storage), is directly linked to the Villa. There is a superior remote controlled monitored security system with armed response, for security. Very private… very secure. Both the front & back areas are covered by off site monitored CCTV cameras.

The Villa is equipped with WiFi, and an integrated surround sound system (TV. radio & CD. player). Bring your own I-pod, USB stick & CD’s. We supply a HDMI cable for your laptop connection & an audio cable for your phone or MP3 player.

Entertainment: On offer, for your enjoyment, there is a solar heated rim flow swimming pool with Martini seating….Jacuzzi spa bath with massage jets….charcoal portable barbecue….comfortable outdoor furniture, loungers & umbrellas.

The many guests that have stayed in our Villa have thoroughly enjoyed themselves and often regarded it as a holiday of a lifetime.

The most amazing check in experience with Duncan and Gillian where we were made to feel very welcome and had the full workings of the house explained to get our stay off to a great start. The house was spotlessly clean and everything worked well. Kitchen had everything you would need and fridge freezer was ample for our family. Where we had any questions, Gillian and her son Devon responded quickly and addressed queries within minutes.

The property is stunning, with magnificent views of Camps Bay. The pool area is fabulous and the games room is a great addition for fun filled evenings. The main bedroom is huge. All in all, we had a great stay.

Beautiful views at Camps Bay

We loved the architecture of this home and amazing views toward the ocean as well as Table Mountain. Backing up to the national park and trails was ideal for us. The hosts were so friendly and gave excellent instructions at check-in on how to enjoy the house, and made us feel at home. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed the location and views from this property. You should be aware the the property loses power (load shedding) approximately 3 times per day which is throughout the area, so you need to plan for this impact. The owners were amazing and easy to deal with.

Fantastic stay

We stayed at AVIEW for a week in early Feb. Villa is amazing with the most incredible views. Directly backing onto the mountain is a massive bonus that few other villas in Camps Bay offer. Duncan, Gillian and Devon were all fantastic and bent over backwards to ensure we had a good stay. Will 100% return again at some point.

The perfect hosts

Kind and welcoming hosts and a lovely property in a quiet area above Camps Bay. From cooling off in the pool after a day out exploring, games of pool in the mezzanine and midnight jacuzzi with a glass of good wine. Not a bad way to spend time in Cape Town. This was a beautiful property in quiet Camps Bay, setting off both the bay and the mountains directly behind it. Trails are a short walk away. Be aware that - like a lot of South Africa - this home has security systems you’ll need to operate. The hosts must meet at the house for checkin.

Lovely home with lovely hosts

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at AView. Starting with a warm welcome from Gillian and Duncan (and a thoughtful bottle of wine!), an overview of the house and its systems, we settled in. We made good use of the Hot Tub and Pool Table - a little family competition. I would not hesitate in recommending them and their property to anyone.

The perfect stay in Camps Bay.

From the very first moment I saw this listing, I knew it was going to be beautiful with a gorgeous view. But what made it the perfect stay was the amazing hosts - Gillian and Duncan. They were so helpful for us from start to finish and made our entire family feel so welcome and like this villa was truly our home away from home. The house is perfect for a family. The layout gives you plenty of privacy and loads of family fun space. The pool and hot tub have views for days. The game room was a blast for everyone. The back patio looking up to Table Mountain was a serene oasis. We will definitely stay again during our next trip!

Premier TOP QUALITY Property!

First property I actually missed as soon as I left! This place hugs you up, making you feel like you’re home really fast. The views of both the ocean and the mountains, from the home, are simply incredible. Your camera won’t be able to capture the endless photo opps here. The hosts are amazing, kind, sweet people. The property feels good like them! Please, please don’t sleep on this one. It’s worth every dime…. and so are you. Cape Town is a truly stunning and amazing city. The bonus is seeing it from this equally stunning and amazing property.

Best View in Camps Bay

From the unique location in the uppermost row of houses right below the foot of table mountain to the gorgeous views and the stylish interior, this spacious villa offers everything you need and more. The house has a cinematic feel to it. Despite it having been built in the 90s it all comes across more 80s. If it appears the tiniest bit bumptious, it's still very comfy and all the necessary appliances & amenities are there and easy to use. The games room is a nice touch, so is the whirlpool. This being Cape Town it is all very Fort Knox and if you are not from around, make sure you listen closely to the security brief.

Beautiful Exterior. Interior needs Updating. Appliances & Amenities need Replacing. Disappointing!!!

My husband booked this trip for my 50th birthday & to celebrate the completion of my cancer treatment. Aview is advertised as a Luxury villa, in reality its not been kept uptodate or modernised since being built in the 80’s so most of the appliances & amenities are dated or don’t work. The wiring is dated (extension leads & fireblankets are everywhere). The glazed doors are almost impossible to slide open & thump & rattle at night. The entrance to the property is via a clutter-filled garage & the pool filtration & pump constantly shutdown so it fills with debris & insects. On arrival we were unexpectedly instructed to sign something for the Properties Insurance. We weren’t given an opportunity to read it or time to decide if we wanted to sign it (we‘ve no idea what we put our names to). There’s no Manual so despite having been on the road for 10hours we were subjected to lengthy, convoluted verbal instructions on our obligations as Guests, how to use the various appliances & our hearts sank at the litany of “if that doesn’t work try….” we knew Aview wasn't the Luxury advertised. The DSTV produced one grainy channel. The Wifi was intermittent so we hired a Dongle to stay in touch with friends & family. The Fridge was old & battered & the food left in the cupboard (by past guests?) contained out of date products & mouldy balsamic dressing. The washing machine only worked on one setting (marked in biro) & it stuck midcycle. The pool filled with debris after the 1st stormy day & when the owner came to top it up I was horrified to see him filling it with filthy water from an open air trough containing insect larvae. But what has stuck in my mind (having mulled over the decision to write this review for 10 days) is the feeling of being a prisoner in the villa because of the myriad of security instructions hammered home by the owners, the insurance document we were coerced into signing, the security alarm which activated if you left the bedroom!, the tiny metal venetian blinds on every window & door which had to remain closed “to keep the property secure” & having discovered how arduous & temperamental they were to elevate/open, we decided to leave them down in order to protect our deposit. So despite the name "Aview" and the Advertised "Clear Unique Views" the reality is Camps Bay, Lions Head, 12 Apostles, Sunrises & Sunsets have to be Viewed through little strips of dusty metal. Hugely OverPriced! Very Very Disappointed! Definitely not Luxury!

Tolle Villa - traumhafte Aussicht

Die Villa hält was Duncan & Gillian versprechen. Zur Rückseite unverbauter Blick zum Tafelberg, die Vorderseite mit Pool, Jacuzzi und Blick über Camps Bay auf den Atlantik. Die Villa war sauber und bietet alles für einen schönen Aufenthalt für 8 Personen. Duncan und Gillian sind sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Aufgrund der Lage sollte man mobil sein, wobei Uber immer schnell verfügbar war.

It is open plan living with amazing views. The villa has a good flow from both inside & outside... easy access to all it's amenities!! For families or friends traveling together, it offers enough space for everyone to live harmoniously.
The games-room, Jacuzzi & pool areas offer lots of fun & relaxation for all.
This secure property borders the Table Mountain National Park which offers nature at it's best and beautiful mountain walks. This is a very quiet neighbourhood. Parties are discouraged and noise after 11pm is not allowed. The road has some of the most expensive properties in South Africa!

What makes this property unique

Away from the maddening crowed, close to nature, private, walk straight from the back sliding onto the cobbles & onto the Twelve Apostles Nature Reserve (Table Mountain National Park). We have exceptional security in place. Everything is well maintained & works.
