My husband and I plus greyhound Meg had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was perfect for our needs. The whole place was lovely and clean and warm. The bed was so comfortable and the bed linen so soft it was quite hard getting up in the morning.The location was beautiful, very scenic and the dark skies were quite something.I must give Jim a mention. He made us feel so welcome. We will definitely return.

The property was excellent. We have a dog and she loved the large well-enclosed garden. The cottage was well equipped. TV reception is good. There’s no wi-fi. It was great not having ‘pings’ demanding attention. We read a lot and very much enjoyed relaxing with our books. The cottage is well stocked with DVDs and books. It’s in a very good situation for exploring Hadrian’s Wall. We were lucky to have lovely autumn weather. We didn’t get to meet our host; but he gave me excellent directions from the A68 straight to the cottage. I would highly recommend this property. If you like a quiet, peaceful holiday, this is the place for you.

Enjoyed our stay and would recommend this cottage.

Great location, remote and surrounded by fantastic countryside but within easy reach of nearby villages and a town with everything you are likely to need. Exceptionally clean cottage and very private with lovely enclosed garden. Pleasant and comfortable interior and kitchen very well equipped.

Beautiful cottage

I had a lovely week in this beautiful cottage. It was well equipped and has stunning views. I loved the garden and I felt very safe there. Did some lovely walks around the area. I would definitely stay there again.

Relaxing and quiet

Location was perfect to enjoy the sky at night. We loved having the sheep for neighbours at such a peaceful spot. The cottage had everything we needed and made a great base for exploring further afield.

Perfect getaway cottage.

Cottage better than described perfect for a short break. Lovely secluded and secure garden ideal for our dog. Everything in cottage that you need for a relaxing getaway. Ideal location for exploring the region. Welcomed by Jim, who is just a few minutes away if needed.

Blossom everywhere!

Lovely cottage - great garden for dogs - completely secure and plenty corners and bushes to explore. Found a fairly quiet road for dog walks. Beautiful countryside.

Fabulous as ever!

We keep coming back to this cottage. Clean, well equipped and with a perfect, safe, walled garden for the dog. Although you have to drive everywhere, we love the location and peacefulness.

Fabulous 😁

The cottage and location are fabulous. Really peaceful with plenty to explore in the local area. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is available in the cottage. It’s really well equipped. A true get away from it all holiday. Will definitely be back.
