Fantastic time in cornwall
Just returned from our break at the White House charlestown what a fantastic time we had right from the start with the cream tea bouquet and even trears for the dogs waiting for us the location was brilliant ,the garden was great for the dogs to run around in didn't need to walk them and the amount of equipment unbelievable never thought I would be going out in a kyake at 67 didnt look to good in the wet suit though. We celebrated a birthday and anniversary there and the White House made it special thank you
The White House
The property is fabulous, weather was too poor to make the most of the great and expansive garden and parking is a bit tight if you have a largish vehicle, leave your Humvee at home for this trip. i would have given 5 stars, but for most of the beds (mattresses) in the house are pretty uncomfortable (lumpy and soft). A few new mattresses and i would have give it 5 stars.
Property was fantastic, location was superb, even the weather was good. Family of 4 with 2 teenagers and a dog, everyone had a great time. Worth noting that the Charlestown breaches don't allow dogs between April and October, but the garden at the White house was more than enough for our dog to run arround in off the lead. Certainly intend to book again in the future!
The house was lovely. Very well appointed and lots of space even though thee was nine of us.
Very well situated in Charlestown with easy access to restaurants and bars and supermarkets a short drive down the road.
Overall very pleased and planning to return next year.
Even better than the profile!
The property is in a gorgeous location on the harbour, and is huge and very well equipped - especially the kitchen, for keen cooks / bakers. The kayaks are super, and very easy to use as the beach is a 30-second walk. The garden is lovely for children to play in. Lots of restaurants and shops (and ice cream shop) on the other side of the harbour, and lots of lovely walks to do along the coast.
The house overlooks the harbour and there are beaches on the left and right. The left beach is pebbly, but sandy at low tide and there are rock pools. The beach is 50m from the house.
St Austell railway station is a 10 minute drive. Newquay Airport is approximately 30 minutes. A car is recommended, if you were to visit near by attractions for example, The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and more!
The village of Charlestown has 3 pubs and several other glorious places to eat which are all walking distance from The White House. There are two supermarkets within a 5 minute drive or leisurely walk! and St Austell town close by, which include all the well known high street shops.
