In a perfect location behind Croyde sand dunes and on the beach footpath, you can see the ocean between the dunes and hear the waves in the garden. Through the garden gate, away from roads and traffic, it’s a level traffic-free few minutes walk to the beach or to the village centre with its surf shops, pubs and restaurants.

Endless Summer Beach House is on a quiet private road and was designed with surf and beach-loving groups in mind. A haven where family and friends can meet to enjoy the beach and surf, and make lasting memories.

The layout comfortably accommodates self-catering groups of up to 10 people. Large or extended families will enjoy being so near the beach within beautiful surroundings behind the sand dunes in Croyde.

MAIN LIVING ROOM

The focal living space is a large, bright open plan space with large glass picture windows to make the most of the afternoon sun and sea view. A large triple-aspect living room fitted with large sofas and footstools, with two sets of French doors leading out onto the garden with views to the dunes and sea. For entertainment there is a large flat screen TV with satellite channels, DVD player with a selection of films and Bluetooth HiFi system. For the evenings, the lounge also features an ‘Opti-myst’ fireplace with real flame effect.

The dining area has an extendable table and chairs seating 10. Above this, a surfboard and dimmable lighting to suit the occasion.

2ND LIVING ROOM

From the main living area there is a door through to a separate, triple-aspect second living room with its own French doors to the garden. Here we have provided a TV with FreeView and FreeSat, DVD player with DVDs and Xbox with games. There is a comfortable sofa and two arm chairs, books, board games and a selection of children's toys. This is a light and airy room with views to the garden and the sea beyond. Great for children to have their own space to play or for the older generation to relax.

KITCHEN

Enjoy socialising and views of the garden whilst preparing food and drinks in the open plan kitchen with its glass breakfast bar and two swivel stools. The fully equipped modern gloss white kitchen has a new built-in electric cooker with double oven and grill, dishwasher and fridge freezer. There is also a microwave, toaster, kettle, food mixer, Nespresso coffee machine and cafetière. The cupboards are fully equipped with crockery, cutlery (inc children’s) and glassware for over 10 people as well as everything needed for catering for ten.

BEDROOMS

All bedrooms feature quality mattresses and are decorated with soft furnishings and high quality Egyptian cotton bed linen throughout. A bath and hand towel is provided for each guest. The bedrooms are on two floors:

On the first floor, BEDROOM 1 is a large room containing a king size bed with bedside cabinets, lamps and a chest of drawers each side, with further hanging space, dressing table and chest of drawers providing lots of storage room for your stay. This room is north and west facing with views across Croyde and to the sea, features a 24″ TV/DVD player and chaise lounge – ideal for lazy afternoon book reading. Come night-time, there’s a telescope for those who wish to do a little star gazing through one of the skylight windows. Blackout blinds on the roof windows give you the option of a lie in.

Across the landing is BEDROOM 2 with an eastern view to the hills behind Croyde and a westerly view through the roof windows to the sea. This large room as been set up to sleep four. There are four single beds. Or two singles can be set up at a super king-size bed (please specify this on booking). There are bedside cabinets with lamps and plenty of storage space and this large room would suit a group of children. It also includes two bean bags and a low level children’s table with chairs and blackout blinds to the windows.

On the ground floor BEDROOM 3 is off the hallway and has a king size zip-link bed that can be converted to two singles if required (please specify this on booking). The bed has bedside tables and lamps either side, a built-in wardrobe, dressing table and mirror.

Next door is BEDROOM 4 featuring a double bed with bedside table and lamp each side, mirror wardrobe and chest of drawers.

BATHROOMS

The upstairs family bathroom features a modern white suite, including heated mirror, large corner bath and separate corner shower. There’s ample storage space and cabinets for everyone. There are two rubber bath mats for use in the bath, a footstool for children and a handle in the shower.

Downstairs is a shower room featuring WC and basin with lit mirror vanity unit over, a child’s footstool and spacious low level shower with hand rail.

A luxury feature of Endless Summer is its spacious enclosed heated outdoor shower for your return from the beach to rinse off the salt and sand. Also perfect for rinsing your wetsuits before hanging them to dry.

OTHER SPACES

These include a utility room at the rear of the house featuring its own sink, washer-dryer and storage space for coats, shoes and bags returning from the beach as well as an entrance porch at the front of the house with storage for coats and shoes. The spacious double height hallway provides under stairs storage/buggy area plus a cupboard containing an iron and ironing board, hoover, high chair, stair gate, travel cot, hairdryer and other items.

OUTSIDE

The driveway has a five-bar gated entrance, with a separate pedestrian gate and has sufficient parking for at least two cars. With such close access to the beach and village centre you should not need to park elsewhere in Croyde during your stay. Endless Summer’s secluded gardens are fully landscaped, circle the property and are laid to lawn at the front and rear. They are fully enclosed, making them private and ideal for children. The lawns and flower beds are regularly maintained throughout the year.

Accessed through the French doors of the lounge and garden room, there is a spacious patio area with tables and chairs seating 10, leading onto the raised rear lawn with views between the dunes to the sea. The west-facing patio is a real suntrap and features a large overhead sunblind for midday shade. This area also includes an integrated barbeque area for al fresco dining and there are sun loungers if you want to catch some rays or relax with a good book. Spend evenings watching the sunset from the patio whilst cooking dinner on the barbeque.

A private gate leads from the rear of the garden onto a wide footpath to the beach; just a few minutes level walk away through the dunes. At the rear of the house inside the back gate there is a covered area for when you return from the beach, a bench, hooks for hanging wetsuits and a washing line. We have installed an outside heated shower and a hose for washing down your boards. Here you will also find a small lean-to containing a selection of bodyboards, windbreaks, beach toys, buckets and spades for your use.
