Charming well equipped family house.

Perfect choice for a large family holiday, with everything accessible and in good condition. Very pretty house in a lovely rural position with long walks and a good pub nearby. The gardeners constant access in and out of the house and joining in family conversations was a bit trying. family conversations

Dear Anthony I do apologise. I wish you had alerted me to that at the beginning and I would of sorted it out. He is a different gardener to my usual person who only comes in to water and not come into the house. I will make sure that does not happen again. I am glad you enjoyed the house and surrounding area.

Idyllic seclusion

A beautiful family home set in beautiful Berkshire countryside. If you are looking for a place to meet with family and friends, and have space inside and out for kids to run around in safety, Willow Farm is hard to beat. The kitchen was large and pretty well equipped and the connected dining area was perfect for family meals. Bedrooms were all clean and comfortable. There were a few challenges - notably the main boiler and the backup immersion system failing, so we were without hot water for a day - but our host was very quick in sorting out assistance and the problem was fixed. Excellent walks and pubs within easy range. Plenty of good supermarkets/shopping within 15-20 mins drive - easy to obtain anything you might need. Overall, would strongly recommend it as a well equipped and secluded family home!

Lovely and comfortable house

We enjoyed this spacious, comfortable and light-filled family home. Well equipped. Lovely kitchen/dining/living room, spacious and comfortable bedrooms, delightful garden, nice pool area and tennis court. We enjoyed walking from the house but spent a lot of time staying on the property since it was so relaxing. Good local bakery and pub.

Fabulous family home, great facilities, lovely location

A fabulous family home with great facilities in and lovely location. The property is even better than the photos suggest, with large living spaces and generous bedrooms. Very comfortable with everything you might need. The pool is a good size as is the garden, this with the tennis court too are great for adults and children. Great local area for walks and bike rides, and some nice pubs nearby too. I would certainly recommend to others. Many thanks.

Lovely Family Summer Holiday

We loved it at the property. Kids splashed in the pool and we went for long forest walks. Lovely and well maintained property, great tennis court, fantastic gardens and that relaxing smell of lavender throughout. Such a family feel to it! And also the property is located in a great location - it feels secluded in the middle of nature and forest, while there is a great pub walking distance and a Micheline star restaurant the Woodspeen just 15 min drive. What a treat! Thank you!

We are a family of 6! Children have all semi moved out. We have lived in Inkpen for 21 years having rebuilt and completed our development project on the house between 2001 and 2003- very much a labour of love. We spend a lot of time outside in the garden and vegetable patch where we grow our own produce. The swimming pool area and tennis court are our real luxuries which we cherish, especially in the summer! This is our home and we love it- we hope you will too.

Why they chose this property

Glorious peace and quiet, surrounded on all sides by beautiful and immaculately kept and much loved garden. A sun trap in summer months - the back of the house - with the turquoise waters of the pool giving one the feeling of being in the South of France.

Only five minutes drive from the fabulous Combe Gibbet Hill, the views from which are unrivaled - you genuinely feel on top of the world ... and in the other direction the tranquility of the canal and renowned canalside pub the Dundas Arms.

There is another country pub called The Crown and Garter which is a 7 minute walk. This also has a gorgeous bakery/cafe where fresh coffee and breakfasts, lunches and teas are served every day or home baked cakes can be bought to have at home in the peace of the garden.

What makes this property unique

.
The fabulous kitchen / downstairs room that is the main space in the house - a wonderfully large room with wooden floor boards, wooden beamed ceiling - at one end the kitchen complete with Aga and breakfast bar, then a large wooden table for the eating area and at the far end open brick fire place, television and sofa area. It is airy, spacious with natural light from 4 large windows and French windows onto the Garden .. the most perfect area for gathering the family

The peace and beauty of the area behind the house, sitting at the table with a cup of coffee listening to the bird song.
