Dove Cot is a welcoming cottage with all we needed for our weekend’s stay. Fiona kindly called in briefly to check all was well. We slept soundly in the comfortable main bedroom at the top of the tiny traditional staircase. The Black Boys pub in Aylsham is highly recommended, as is a visit to Ranworth Broad.
Lovely cottage, friendly host. Good location for exploring rural Norfolk. Good availability of shops and a supermarket in Aylsham just 3 miles away. Will stay here again.
The well equipped and cozy cottage is well situated for visiting coastal and inland attractions and yet is located in a peaceful village setting, making for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights at Dove Cot. It is off the beaten path, yet near enough to the things you might need and places to visit--Norwich, the Broads, and interesting hamlets within easy reach. We visited Norwich Cathedral, Bure Valley RR, Oxham, and others. The cottage is cozy and comfortable. It is well-equipped. As stated in the property description, the bedrooms are upstairs, via a small circular stairway, which is not hard to navigate. Take it slow and easy and you will manage. Fiona is a gracious host with a warm welcome, and is full of helpful information. The price is fair, and the setting is unique. I just wish we had scheduled another night or two.
An absolutely charming traditional cottage within driving distance of the Norfolk Showground. Fiona was extremely helpful and accommodating and has furnished the cosy cottage to a high standard, keeping its original features and authenticity.Highly recommend her property
we stayed 3 nights in October, the cottage is beautiful and rustic, very well equipped with all you could need or want, parking is not a problem as there is a large lay by/pull in 20 yards from the cottage well off the lane. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Fiona.
We chose this property as it was in a good location for walking and cycling. The house was small but perfectly adequate for a couple. It was well equipped and cosy despite the winter weather.
The cottage was everything we could have wished for.Cute period cottage with some original features. There was everything that we needed for our stay.Small sunny garden to relax in
Fiona the owner was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us.Will definitely visit again .
All the neighbours were very friendly and gave us information on places to go.
Lovely old cottage full of character. Would be nice to have some essential s left like tea bags, sugar, towels etc, especially as we often travel by motorcycle.

The cottage had heat and hot water. Some of the Electrical Appliances and furniture needed updating. And it should be explained that the stairs are very narrow and not suitable for anyone with a disability.
A stunning Norfolk cottage and an ideal peaceful country getaway. We had a wonderful weekend away and loved all the original features of this traditional 200 year old property alongside the comfortable additions of modern living. The location suited us perfectly to reach a lovely seal beach at Horsey Gap and trip to Great Yarmouth. Norwich wasn't far away and we walked along the river there on our first evening. There's a great fish and chip shop in the next village at Buxton, only a short drive. The cottage has everything you’ll need in the form of appliances, including a dishwasher and washing machine. The shower is lovely and powerful, very relaxing after a day on the beach. The bedrooms are larger than expected with comfortable beds. The three of us, found the property had plenty of space for us all. Our daughter didn’t mind having an adjoining room. You will find your stay very cosy and welcoming. Parking isn’t far from the cottage, it is opposite Street Farm entrance on The St next to the paper and bottle recycling containers which we made use of. Highly recommended accommodation. We will definitely come back again.

Brampton Stay
The property , was has described , clean and tidy well located . The only problem my wife and I had . Was the heating was not on when we arrived and we had problems with it while we were here . Hot water wasn’t on long enough . Overall this place needs some loving care and attention . A combo boiler would be more efficient and give consent hot water . A welcome pack would have been nice and bath towels provide would be good too. Maybe we have been spoilt in the past . Hope Fiona takes this on board going forward it would make this property a 1st class accommodations while keeping the authentic Look of the property . Location spot on . Maybe the little bit of land beside the house could be tidied up and made into a car parking space .
Merci Fiona !
