Typical Sicilian villa with a breathtaking view: you can admire the majestic Etna volcano, Taormina, and the Ionian Sea up to Syracuse and Calabria. The house is very spacious, the living area is equipped with numerous sofas and armchairs, smart TV, dining room and fireplace. There is an area with a table for playing cards. The kitchen is also equipped with all comforts: dishwasher, American coffee machine, kettle, toaster, microwave oven. On the ground floor, there are three bedrooms with views of the Ionian Sea, two full bathrooms and one with only services. In the attic, there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms with a shower plus a living area. In the garden then, there is a patio where you can eat outdoors, the BBQ; tables and chairs and sunbeds all around the large pool. The outdoor shower, the play area for children, the table tennis and the basketball hoop complete the lush garden. The villa is an oasis of peace. Surrounded by greenery just a few minutes walk away is a small village, Linera, where you can buy freshly baked bread, a small but well-stocked supermarket, the church, newspapers, an ATM ... The house is ideal for families with children, and for groups of friends where everyone can find their own spaces or stay together. Because of its location, the villa is the perfect starting point for excursions to the Etna Volcano, Taormina, Acireale, Syracuse, and just 5 km away you can find the sea.

We had a great stay at this beautiful villa which had everything we needed, especially for our young children. Maria was an excellent host and was very responsive to any questions we had both before and during our stay. We were even lucky enough to see Mount Etna erupting whilst we swam in the pool!

Exceptional villa

We loved the villa - spacious, comfortable and in walking distance to the village (shop, cafe, pizzeria, bakeries). The large pool and the shady veranda were the highlights - having breakfast with a view of Etna was amazing. Taormina a must visit. Beautiful weather and one of the best properties we have stayed in. Maria a great host.

Beautiful house

This beautiful house has a fantastic swimming pool and amazing views of the sea and Mount Etna. Maria was a wonderful host - extremely kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

A wonderful stay in Linera

The sea on one side, a volcano on the other. A really big pool and a wonderful villa in the middle. A fantastic place, go there if you have the opportunity! One big plus is Linera, the small village. Being able to go shopping on foot whenever you need is good, getting warm bread in the morning is even better. Maria is a true superhost, arranged every thing we asked for and even managed to fix a guitar for us, very impressive!

Lovely Villa that has a lot of character and beautiful views

Lovely village of Linera within walking distance, views of Etna and the Ocean, within driving distance to Taormina, Catania, Mt Etna and more. The villa has so many cool features, we used the outdoor bbq and the pool, really enjoyed our stay and Maria the host was very responsive and helpful.

Beautiful home…wonderful hosts!

This is a perfect home for large groups…spacious kitchen and living areas, pool, and plenty of bedrooms. The outdoor dining area has lots of seating and lovely views of the sea and Mt Etna. Our hosts were very gracious and responsive, and checked in periodically to see if we had everything we needed and were enjoying the home. I definitely recommend this as a place to stay🌞

Wonderful place to chill

Hanging out by the pool by day and using the grill by night has been a relaxing and beautiful experience. There is a really good bakery availably on foot and the location is nicely secluded. The villa is huge and clean, a paradise.

The Villa is a good base with easy access to Catannia Airport and Taorrmninan . Perfect for a Family of mixed ages and airconditioned bedrooms essential for the summer . Good size for a group of mixed ages. Having a car definitily a recommendation inorder to explore the island and residents. However The local village does offer plentiful supplies for self catering / pharmacy and baby provisions. Marcia was an excellent guide and able to provide cleaning support and Cook for special dinners

Fabulous villa and location

Maria was a wonderful host and her villa was outstanding. Spacious, plush and well facilitated. We were a group of 9 friends who really enjoyed swimmimg in the glorious pool, bbqs, and shopping at the nearby bakery and supermarkets. The views of Mt Etna and the sea are wonderful. Would love to return. Highly recommended.

An amazing villa

We had a fantastic time at the villa. Maria was communicative throughout the booking process. The villa itself was amazing. Large and clean, it was a place enjoyed by all of us. The bedrooms are spacious and air conditioned. The pool had glorious views . Being able to walk to shops and a bakery was a real bonus. We loved it and woulsnt hesitate to come again. A perfect stay in a beautiful Sicilian villa

We stayed at this beautiful villa in Sicily as a group of 10 and had the most wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, Maria and Enrico were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and kind hosts. You can truly feel that the villa was once their family home – it’s been built and maintained with so much care and love, which gives it a really special atmosphere.The villa itself is perfect – spacious, comfortable, and full of charm. The pool is stunning, the gardens are expansive with breathtaking views, and we loved spending time dining outdoors. There was plenty of room for all of us to relax and enjoy ourselves.Its location is also ideal – close to Etna and other great spots, making it a brilliant base for exploring this part of Sicily.We had a truly special and memorable stay and couldn’t recommend it more highly. Fantastic vacation

The villa is beautiful and well looked after, everything you could need is inside it has secure parking and a large garden that was great for the children playing and exploring also a great size swimming pool that we all enjoyed. On one side you have ocean views and Mt Etna on the other side. The local village has good shops and also large supermarkets within a short drive. Maria and her family made us feel very welcome and gave us all the help and information we needed, we had a great time here and would definitely recommend this villa. A wonderful place to stay.

A perfect house!

Great house, perfect pool! It was a pleasure to stay in this big house with our friends. A lot of space, very well furnished, a nice garden and big trees for perfect shade. The pool is really big, perfect for kids to play. Last but lot least, the owner has been really nice! Warm welcome and available to answer our questions. I highly recommend!

Amazing villa

Fantastic location, sea on one side, Etna on the other. We were a party of 5 couples lots of space to either sit round the pool in the sun or sit in the shade. Very well equipped, Maria couldn't do enough for us and was especially concerned when the weather was bad and Etna decided to wake up!! Gloria cooked for us all one evening which was very enjoyable. Good supermarket pizzeria and bakery in walking distance, Good to use as a base, highly recommended.

Splendid villa, spacious and comfortable

This is an exceptional villa, very large and comfortable, with generous reception rooms and lots of lovely indoor and outdoor spaces to lounge in. The pool is larger than usual and a gorgeous place to swim. There is a wonderful curtained outside dining area, again with masses of space for everyone. Amazing views of Etna and the sea. The local village is good for most shopping with an excellent bakery. The best beach is at Fondachello. Acireale is a beautiful place for a meal and a wander round some wonderful churches and squares.

Beautiful Property

The house is big! Perfect for a larger family. The Property has amazing views and is quiet and comes fully stocked with everything you need. The little town is close and had what we were looking for. We even arranged for Gloria (off Maria's recommendation) to come up one evening and teach us how to make a dinner - it was Fabulous! The only issue we had was the down stairs showers ran hot and cold. Which was not an issue for most of us we just went to use the upstairs showers but for my 70 year old mother who could not climb the stairs it was a bit if a sticking point.

Glorious Property

The villa was everything as described and more. The Mediterranean on one side and “Mamma Etna” on the other. There were 4 of us all 75+ years old and we were just amazed at the grandeur of the grounds. The villa was amply furnished for housekeeping and cooking. Maria is/was the absolute best host I’ve encountered of all the places we’ve rented. She went above and beyond dropping of milk and pasties for our first morning and driving back to the villa to rescue my husband when he got lost 2/10 of a mile from the villa. She is the most caring and responsive host I’ve ever encountered. Nothing was beyond her. I felt an immediate connection with her. You will not regret renting here, trust me on this. There is nothing lacking. It was a grand vacation and I miss being there already!!

Wonderful 10 Day Stay

Review notes for Maria: Maria was always accommodating and responding to any questions quickly and efficiently. Enrico, her son orientated us about the mansion when we first arrived and answered any questions. The home was well organized and stocked with essentials. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything at our fingertips. Many spices readily available. Small appliances in order, kettle, toaster etc. Also the washing machine came in very handy over our ten day stay and they also had a drying rack. House is gated and very secure. We felt comfortable and safe. Wonderful views of ocean and mount Etna. Very Prompt ahead of our arrival with any questions Gave us recommendations for day trips. Mount Etna. Castelmola Super friendly House large and very comfortable and great place to spend time with family and friends

Family Holiday

The villa is beautiful, very stylish with bags of character and lovely interior design features. There is lots of living space for relaxing, eating and playing games - and all the bedrooms are a good size. Outside, the grounds are beautifully maintained and there is a lovely turquoise pool with fabulous views of Mount Etna on one side and out towards the sea on the other. There was also a lovely outside eating area with BBQ, where we ate most of our meals. The villa is located in a small quiet village about 15 minutes from the coast, and is a great base for day trips to Taormina, Syraceuse and Mount Etna. There is a bakery and a small supermarket in the village and a big supermarket a short drive away where you can get everything you need. This was the perfect place for a relaxing holiday and Maria was a wonderful host – great communication before we arrived and throughout our visit, including recommendations for restaurants - a big thank you to her. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa for a family holiday - it is a truly fabulous accommodation!

Beautiful villa with loads of space

The villa is enormous with tons of space for our extended family to be together but also have our own space. There are 3 bedrooms next to the gigantic double living area on the ground floor (1 double with a sofa bed and ensuite) and 2 twin (one of them has an ensuite). Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms (1 en suite) along with a kitchenette and another bathroom. These rooms have balconies and one has a large terrace, which has an amazing view right across from the sea to Etna. The kitchen has a dining area for 8 so we mostly ate here, rather than the long dining table in the living area. The bedrooms have aircon, not needed by most of us in April but my elderly mother appreciated a bit of heating in her room in the evenings and we lit the log fire too. The house feels cool, which I am sure is great in the summer heat. The pretty (and large) garden has fantastic views in both directions (Etna and the sea), with a covered dining area as well as a surround patio round the house. Bring your ping pong balls for a game! We visited at the beginning April and the superb weather meant that we were able to enjoy the pool too (not heated but very pleasant if you enjoy a refreshing swim). The house is accessed by 2 electronic gates, be careful when you are turning out of the outside gate onto the road as there is limited visibility. We walked down to the village for bread and pizza, be aware that there is no pavement. Highly recommended place to stay!

une semaine dépaysante

Maria et son fils nous ont accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse et la maison était très confortable avec un emplacement magnifique pour observer les fumées de l'Etna d'un côté, et la mer de l'autre côté, près de la piscine. La maison est très bien équipée, la piscine est un peu vieillissante, mais très appréciable, et l'environnement est apaisant. Nous avons eu quelques problèmes de coupures d'eau, mais Maria a été très réactive et en moins d'une demi-heure, le problème était règlé.

Fantastisch authentiek Italiaans huis met groot zwembad

Fantastische woning met een beeldschoon uitzicht over de zee en de Etna. De toegang is wat moeilijk vindbaar langs een drukke weg, maar als je de oprijlaan oprijdt begint het genieten. Zwembad was echt top net als de rest van de zeer ruime tuin. Zon de hele dag gegarandeerd in de tuin. Kinderen en ouders genoten van de speelmogelijkheden met als topper de tafeltennistafel. Maria ontvangt je zeer gastvrij en reageert heel vlot op vragen. Hielp ons aan goede tips en aan goede adressen voor Taxi, Kok, etc. Heerlijk verblijf gehad. Echt een aanrader.

Fantastic rustic Sicilian villa

From the moment you arrive at this lovely villa in Linera, you feel at home and know the house as your own. Arrived on Saturday evening and was welcomed by our host Maria who gave us a quick tour of the house and garden. Maria had even made sure there was water, coffee, wine, biscuits and chips available when we arrived (thanks for that Maria) From the house there is a beautiful view over the countryside with the sea to the east and Etna to the west. The house has everything you need and since we were only 5 adults, there was plenty of space, bedrooms and bathroom for everyone, huge living rooms and a nice big kitchen equipped with most things. From early morning to late evening we were in the garden and enjoyed the covered terrace and the 12.5 meter long pool with lovely cool clean water for a week where every day we had 30-35 degree heat and sun from a cloudless sky. The town is not big, but it has a baker, grocer with butcher and a number of pizza restaurants (it is Italy after all). By car you can get around a lot and since the house is well located for many good trips on the east coast, we were both on the Etna expedition, wine tasting, the sea and city walks. A fantastically lovely holiday that we won't soon forget. Highly recommend this villa and location in Sicily, but especially the perfect host Maria. The Skov family - Denmark

Magnifique villa , parfaite pour visiter l est de la silcile !!!!

La villa est superbe, l emplacement aussi est idéal pour visiter, proche de tous les lieux d intérêt de l est sicilien , l hôte Maria à été très chaleureuse et bienveillante, il ne manquait rien pour être très bien reçu, la maison est équipée pour passer un séjour parfait , nous étions 9 avec un bébé et tout le monde a profité de cette superbe villa

This villa is very important for my family. As a child, my husband used to play with his friends in this "palmento" (the place where wine grapes are pressed). As an adult he built our house around this "palmento". In this garden, we also celebrated our wedding. Here our children are born and raised. In this house we lived unforgettable moments with our friends, we enjoyed the pool, garden and the barbeque.

Now our children are studying away and we decided to move into town.

Why they chose this property

The location is very convenient, in the middle of the east coast of Sicily, the panorama is beautiful, on one side there is the majestic Volcano Etna, on the other side you can see the Taormina, the Ionian sea and, with clear sky, Calabria, Catania's coast.
