About this property

We are ON the ocean, high speed WIFI, Just 5 minutes to Las Galeras, Samana

We can include a personal tour guide and concierge who can show you the area beaches of Fronton, Madama, Rincon, La Playita, Cayo Levantado, the El Limon waterfalls and other area attractions. He can also make sure you find the supermarkets, banks and restaurants. Since he has worked at the Cove for nearly 20 years, he knows the area well. All my apartments are at the Cove, a small group of beach front, ocean view apartments, just 200 feet from the ocean.
This modern apartment serves as your home base from which you can explore the peninsula. Arrange deep sea diving and sport fishing excursions with The Dive Academy. You can snorkel at some of the most beautiful beaches, including Playa Rincon, Playa Las Galeras, El Valle, and Playa Fronton. Seasoned scuba divers can explore shipwrecks from throughout the centuries.

Come see the humpback whales breach out of the water, from January to March, each year, when they come to mate and have their offspring!!!

In between you and the ocean is the pool, with a swim up bar. Grill local fish on the charcoal barbeque, or stay inside and cook in the full kitchen. It features a view of Samana bay, and a private beach, only a few steps away.

Since I own two other apartments, I can accommodate groups of up to 12 people.

The Cove is paradise. A beautiful, picture perfect place to escape from it all.

If you want to escape the heavy tourism and have a peaceful vacation this is the place to be. Patrick was quick to respond and very helpful with any accommodations. We will be back.

Amazing place

This was an amazing stayed. From the moment we got there, to check-in, to the location and the amenities of the apartment. The pool gets cleaned every morning and the ocean is right there. If you want to go venture to another beach, Las Galeras is only 10 minutes away (driving) and so many of the restaurants in that area. Everything was very clean in the apartment. The property manager checked in to make sure everything was going smooth and gave us pointer for nice restaurants in the area. I will strongly recommend it. I traveled with my partner and two kids of 9 and 10 years of age.

Beautiful view of the beach, it was literally few steps away from the condo.. The condo was spacious and clean. The pool was very nice after a night out. There's a store few minutes away where you can get all your necessities. Coco was very helpful and kind..i will definitely return! Thank you Patrick!

Most amazing place

This place is amazing from first sight ...the property ower Patrick and his wife are two of the most gracious people i have ever met they go out of their way to show you around and make sure you have all you need ...then there is coco the care taker this man is awsome he will help you with anything you need at anytime if you want a quite place to stay and a beautiful view every day this is it ...and if party action is what you want you have it no more then 10 min away....if you havent stayed here you have missed out ....we already coming back again next year......thank you patrick angela and coco for making our vacation something we will never forget

Dominican Experience

We were looking for a nice place to spend to escape the colder winter months of US. We found a great treasure here. Took a few days to settle into the culture and lifestyle in the area but it was a beautiful experience. If you’re not native to the area and looking for a great relaxing vacation, in my opinion, this is not the area or place. Go to a resort. For anyone staying 2 plus weeks it can be outstanding! Lots to see in the area, rent an ATV, jump a gwa gwa ( local transit), whale watching ( right on the beach), dining at restaurants and local kalmado’s. The VRBO owners (Pat and Angela) property manager(Coco), are the best you’ll find!! Indifferent from many other owners, they stay there several months a year to help out. We are planning another 6 week trip next winter!

Peace and Love

It’s very difficult to put into words what an amazing experience I had on this trip. I travel a lot! I’m in DR almost every other weekend. I’ve literally been to every single hotel and resort in DR. This is my 4th time using VRBO and I don’t think I’ll ever go to another resort after staying in this place. I can honestly say Patrick your place is amazing!! So amazing I’m thinking of buying my own. From the Fresh food, fruit (picker from the trees), drinks, the atmosphere the air, the sound of the waves, the guard at the entrance to the gardener, the Manager Coco. Everything was just so perfect. It was absolutely what I needed. I work three jobs in the states so coming back home and been able to have peace and quite is priceless. The view is just amazing, waking up everyday to see the beautiful view from the balcony. The infinity pool view from your porch is a life changing experience. The massages ( I swear I thought I had a permanent knot in my muscles for like a year... it’s gone now! ❤️ I was able to see the humpback whales with a simple pair of binoculars sitting in the porch chair. They treated me like royalty! The neighbors too! Patrick thank you for sharing your home! I will return very soon... ❤️

Peaceful bliss

A quiet haven, sand beach, pool if you prefer, well-appointed lodging with a “concierge” always at the ready and an incredibly responsive owner. 1/2 hour or less to magnificent longer beaches and excellent restaurants, or they will arrange someone to cook in your own unit if you prefer. A joy!

Great Time Great Views

We had an excellent time at the Cove in Samana. The owner Patrick was terrific to deal with. Any questions were answered very quickly and any minor concerns were addressed promptly. I would highly recommend the cove for a great place to get away and relax. The regulars at this location went out of their way to help and to show us around. Will certainly come again!

Great seaside location

Lovely sized apartment, in a pretty seaside location, near the fantastic beaches of the north Samana peninsula. Owner was very easy to deal with and arrival couldn't have been easier. The property itself could use a bit of tlc: the insides of cupboards and wardrobes are suffering from seaside damp, we killed quite a lot of cockroaches in the bathrooms and the crockery & kitchen equipment needed a good clean on arrival. Swimming pool was well kept and the people around were really friendly.

Mother/daughter getaway

This is the perfect location for a relaxing getaway. Patrick quickly answered all my questions prior to our trip, so I felt quite prepared. I do recommend having a driver pick you up from the airport and bring you to the apartment. The caretaker is friendly and anxious to help. We hope to come back!

Perfect place to enjoy and explore Samana

Patrick's place was a wonderful spot. It's quiet and stone's throw from a private beach - what more can you ask for! Patrick was incredibly helpful before and during our stay with any questions or things that came up. The area around the condo is marvellous. The beaches are spectacular and each one is a bit different, making day trips fun and adventurous. I'd 100% go back to stay at the Cove and be in Samana!

Amazing!

What an amazing experience! We were there for 2 solid weeks during the holidays and we were not ready to go. The flat has everything that you need including 24 hour security. Coco and his wife went above and beyond there way, they are truly the hostess with the mostess. My husband and I were impressed with there hospitality. There is a small store 5 minutes down the road next to the Texaco where I was able to get the majority of my groceries. Every day we spent some time on the beach either at the property or one of the other near by beaches. Location is everything and this property is very close to some beautiful beaches. We went to Playa Rincon, Playa Playita, El Limon waterfall, Cayo Llevantado, Las Terranas and Las Galleras. My husband and 11 year old son went fishing with some locals and they still can not stop talking about how much fun they had. There was one day that the wifi did not work and I sent Patrick a message and he immediately had it fixed. Thank you Patrick for allowing my family and I rent your place, we can not wait to go back Kind regards, Noyola Family

Great location, very peaceful

The location close to Las Galeras is great, a lot of beautiful beaches around and the beach directly in front of the flat is very nice and clean as well! The property is managed very well ( Coco takes care of everything and helped us enormously with all the special requests we had), the big pool is right next to the beach with a great view and very clean. We had some amazing sunsets there as well. The only reason I gave only 4 stars is that some of the things in the condo did not work that well (wifi was sometimes not available and we had an issue with the gas for heating the water and cooking). Apart from that the flat was nice, a spacious living area, good kitchen (bring your own spices!) and two sleeping rooms with a bathroom each. We especially loved the balcony with view on the pool and beach and enjoyed many nice evenings BBQ-ing there while watching the palm-tree sunset. :)

Gets Better every year! Stay 2 months every year. Always ask my husband for one more week!! Ok. If it's available. Year 5. Home 19 days. Still on Island Time. Cant wait for year 6!!! So relaxing & FUN!!! The beautiful beach & infinity pool are the best! CoCo is always there for you to answer your questions & make sure you have a fantastic vacation!!!!!!! Always smiling! As I financial planner residing in Pennsylvania, I get tired of the long dreary winters. When touring the Dominican Republic, I fell in love with the Samana peninsula. We try to visit a few times per year, and we enjoy sharing the beauty of the island with other vacationers when we are not there.

Why they chose this property

This property is one of three that I own in the same complex. They are all right on the water, and near the main road. While here you can stay on our own beach under the shade of the almond tree, or venture to many of the area beaches for fun and relaxation.

What makes this property unique

These apartments all have air conditioning as well as screens on the doors and windows for a peaceful nights rest. You are away from the noise of the tourist areas.
