St Bride's Cottage is a really special place to stay in St David's - in a fantastic location, it's ideal for all that St David's has to offer, but is on a quiet side road so doesn't suffer from the noise and busyness of the main high street. Powell has set up the perfect holiday cottage - three quiet bedrooms, an excellent bathroom, a kitchen with everything you need (plus room for a table that seats six), and a cosy living room. We can't praise St Bride's Cottage highly enough — this is the fifth year in a row that we've stayed, and we're already planning our visit for next year!
This year my husband, two sons (7 and 8 years old), cousin, her son and I stayed at St Brides. This is the third year in a row we have stayed at the property. As always it was clean and tidy, provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The property is within a two minute walk from the centre of St Davids, a five minute walk to the park and approximately ten minute drive to white sands beach. We are all looking forward to returning again next year!
Thank you Powell!
This is the second time we have stayed at this property. Even when staying on a very rainy and windy week we had a great time here in the beautiful coat cottage. If you love the countryside, peace and quiet it’s ideal. Facilities are excellent and surrounded by beautiful walks with the coast not far away.
Accommodation is excellent with everything you need. Comfy beds and sofas with a stones throw from St David’s and a very short drive to whitesands. Kitchen good to cook in with big table to eat at. Worked for all the family. We will definitely book again for next year!
Excellently located for easy access to St David's shops, pubs & restaurants as well as the Cathedral, Bishop's Palace and Information Centre, This cottage was very comfortable and spacious. Access was simple via the key safe. The kitchen was well equipped .The courtyard is a real sun trap - we sat outside most evenings. . Parking was no problem - a space could be found within a 100 yards of the property on each day. The instructions on recycling were a little complicated (each local authority has different approaches) but we hope we got it right in the end! This was a great property in a great location and really made our week. Thank you Powell.

Great little cottage with all the modern amenities, great location in the heart of St Davids
Had a great weekend with my 15 year old son and 10 year old daughter. The cottage was a great base for us to enjoy the local beaches for surfing and for jumping at Blue Lagoon. the location was great to nip out to local stores for fresh food and for the local eateries. Weather was pretty good but on the odd days it was not having the cottage was great to back to and made a pleasant change from camping. The kids loved the cottage and its location as they were able to explore St Davids and all it had to offer. Three good bedrooms gave us all our own space, my daughter claimed the double bed and my son the second room, so yours truly got the bunk beds which were surprisingly comfortable for an old bloke. The cottage has a large bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs there is a large lounge and great kitchen dinning area. A small back garden which was great for drying our wetsuits, did'nt get to use the BBQ , ate out too much. The kids loved it which is what was important for me. Would recommend.
The cottage was clean, comfortable, quiet and in a great location. It had everything we needed, the kitchen was well equipped, the pulley was useful and we were always able to park nearby. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Powell!
This 3-bedroom period cottage on a quiet street had all the modern conveniences but kept the look and charm of the village. Shops, pubs, restaurants and award-winning take-aways around the corner and an easy walk down to the cathedral. Key lock box on door. Friends went off in different directions and came back as they pleased. Small patio back yard for al fresco eating or BBQ. Clothes line. Would book again.
Excellent location and beautifully appointed kitchen
This could not have been more central to the centre. with shops, pubs and eating places. Just a walk from the magnificent cathedral and Bishop's Palace.. The cosy cottage had pretty well every thing ( although a few guide books /local history books would have been useful) Excellently appointed kitchen..
The cottage is a lovely cottage, with plenty of space. Very clean and tidy and has everything you need to make meals at the cottage. There is an alley way only 20 second away which pops out in the centre of St David’s. There is ample outside and near the cottage, all of which is free. The cottage is only a 5-10 minute drive from Whitesands beach and only a 5-10 minute walk from the local supermarket. Great communication with the owner. I would highly recommend the cottage and we will definitely be returning next year! Thank you again Powell!
The property was exactly as described. Tastefully modernised, but with so much of the traditional stonework. In terms of facilities, kitchen ware, etc, we wanted for nothing. I would recommend to all those wishing for a quiet, yet central, retreat.
A lovely cottage with everything that we needed for an enjoyable stay. A great location for the amenities of the town & for the spectacular walking routes on the coastal path.
Pros: Fantastic location for exploring the area. 10 mins drive from brilliant beach. Very good value as other places charge well over £1000 a week during summer holidays, well equipped for self catering, always found a parking spot close by, WiFi that works well,
Cons: personally I found the pillows on the beds a bit uncomfortable as they are plastic coated (sorry, I realise this might be for covid/hygiene reasons) otherwise can't fault the place , especially at the prices charged.
Fantastic cottage- fully equipped and very comfortable. Spotlessly clean. The location is perfect - quiet yet the high street is a minute away (if that!). We parked fine everyday and found St David’s a great base with a good few pubs and places to eat, a supermarket, some lovely independent shops and an amazing ice cream stall. The cathedral and Bishops palace are beautiful and the town beach is a short drive/20 mins walk away. We loved this beach (Caerfai bay) and we also enjoyed Whitesands bay. The visitor centre at the end of the road does a great breakfast. Lovely costal walks and a boat trip. All just fab! Pembrokeshire, as in many places, are struggling for staff in hospitality and in addition there are also limited covers for Covid precautions . Therefore we would recommend booking a few places in advance if you want to eat out.
Well appointed cottage that had everything we needed for our stay. Everything was spotlessly clean, instructions for all of the things in the house and the owner communicated well before our visit too. Would highly recommend the property.
Cosy cottage in excellent location in heart of St Davids close to amenities and coast.
Well equipped and great location.

I'm a marine biologist, specialising in marine mammals locally. I am a lecturer and run guided walks. St Brides cottage is my home, but I rent it out during the summer and holiday periods when I live in a caravan nearby.
I moved here because of the local marine mammal populations that I was working on. St Davids is a fantastic combination of Welsh small local community mixed with that seaside holiday feeling.
Why they chose this property
The coast path, cathedral, local history, archaeology, wildlife, scenery, beaches, surfing, fishing, coast path, Ramsey Islands, coastal flowers in May, ....the list goes on.
St Brides Cottage is in St Davids so is walking distance to everything. Caerfai Beach and the coast path are a couple of minutes walk away. Whitesands beach is about a 20 min walk.
What makes this property unique
The cottage is approx 150 years old so is made of stone and slate. The cottage has been traditionally restored using lime mortar and exposing and retaining as many original features as possible. The kitchen and bathroom are new and include washing machine, dishwasher etc. The living room has a wood burning stove. The property is double glazed, has gas central heating
Bryn Rd is not one of the main through roads, so traffic jams and road noise are not a problem. There is unrestricted parking on this part of Bryn Rd.
