Welcome to Garlands Getaways Tugaloo on Hartwell, our gorgeous waterfront lake home for 15. Perfect for entertaining, reunions, or weekends away. Located just 45 minutes from Clemson University or just under an hour from the University of Georgia, it's the perfect spot to stay if you're headed to either school for any reason.

Our 4 bedroom home is three levels and offers privacy with an oversized deck, double slip dock, deep water, golf cart, bikes, two new kayaks, paddleboard, and more. One of our best features will delight kids and parents alike: a separate game/rec room with pool table, TV, sofa, and bunk beds. You get your space for fun, and they get theirs!

Ideally located between SC and GA and perfect for a getaway that worlds from the hustle and bustle of city life, Garlands Getaways Tugaloo lake home was recently remodeled and redecorated. It is perfect for a group of up to 15 friends or family (furry family members welcome too! Up to 3), and Lake Hartwell is among the best for sunny days of shimmering water, boating, watersports, fishing, and simply relaxing. Our home is the perfect spot to enjoy it all.

Tugaloo on Hartwell is a large property that enjoys over 450' of water frontage with a beautifully maintained beach and a huge, covered, double-slip dock (one for use by guests). Deep water means no stagnation, no lake weeds ticking your toes, and ample distance from your neighbors for peace and relative privacy.

Tugaloo on Hartwell will provide the ultimate in comfort and roominess for a large group to soak up the relaxation of the lake. Its three levels feature a large living and fully equipped kitchen on the main floor. Stainless appliances are new, and all you need to prepare and enjoy great meals is provided. Our custom dining table will accommodate up to 12 guests with a second table for 4 plus bar seating. The oversized deck right off the kitchen/living room includes seating and a table as well as a large grill for whipping up your favorite cookout foods. The living area features comfy couches and new flatscreen TV, and a full-size washer and dryer add convenience. And we provide starter amounts of soaps and paper products like tp, paper towels, and trash bags. (Please plan to bring/buy additional if your stay is longer than a couple of days.)

Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed and new TV. One features a desk/work area. The newly remodeled master bath has a huge walk-in shower, a deep tub, and sizable vanity area.

The lower level has a second family room with barn decor, sleeper sofa and a new Smart TV with cable and Internet access (Netflix). Two more bedrooms offer (1) twin bed + twin bunk beds and (2) a queen bed. The downstairs full bathroom has also been upgraded.

A kids/teens/night owls' dream: the separate recreation/entertainment building is just steps from the main house (50'), and inside is a new flatscreen TV, pool table, and couches. It sleeps 4 guests with a set of bunk beds plus sleeper sofa. Dogs are welcome, to a maximum of 3 (small fee).

To complete your stay, we have various water toys available for your use (kayaks, paddleboard), lounge chairs on the dock, a golf cart to ease your way to the lake from the house, plus bikes for pedaling fun. We provide information on renting motorized watercraft (ski boats, pontoons, waverunners) and can help with fishing information as well. There are some great lake-side restaurants that are accessible by watercraft.

In addition to all the perks of lake life, the Lavonia / Hartwell area offers great antique shopping, a variety of restaurants, and fantastic hiking opportunities with nearby waterfalls and nature trails.

You'll enjoy access to the entire home. We do welcome furry friends (maximum of three) for a nominal fee. We ask that you clean up after your pets in our yard.

Primary renter must be at least 25 years old, sign a rental agreement within 48 hours of booking, be present for the duration of the stay, and agree to a $500 damage deposit hold (not a charge) that will be placed on the guest's credit card prior to arrival and released after his/her uneventful stay. No events at all and no smoking inside our home. Dogs are allowed to a maximum of 3 with a fee. Quiet hours are strictly enforced: 11pm-8am. We supply STARTER items of paper products and soaps. If you'll be staying longer than a couple of nights, you'll need to purchase or bring more.
