Air-Conditioned Retreat with Great Views


Enjoy breathtaking views of Howe Sound from this air-conditioned, two-bedroom apartment at a two-storey house. Even though the air-conditioning is a very important feature during the hot summer months, most of the accommodations in the area are not equipped with it! NOTE THAT!


Stay close to everything what the city of Vancouver has to offer, while enjoying the peacefulness and serenity of suburban living and outdoor activities of the Canadian West Coast

Only 40 minutes drive to Whistler or Vancouver Downtown, 25 minutes to West Vancouver; 10 minutes drive to the town of Squamish, and only 7 minutes away from rock climbing destination of Stawamus Chief.

Free local phone calls and high speed internet are provided. Ample parking in front of the house and at the street.

NOTE: Out of the respect for the neighbours, to make sure that no wild parties are taking place, the manager of the house stays in the attic of the house (separate entry) during all rentals.

Beautiful view

Nice, convenient location, midway between Vancouver and Whistler, with a beautiful view. Basic accommodations but comfortable enough for a short stay. Jan is a great host and was really great with communication.

Great Value

The house was spacious and comfortable. For the price it was a tremendous value. Hosts instructions and follow up was fantastic and we had a pleasant stay. The local scenery was outstanding with breathtaking views and close proximity to hiking and walking trails. Centrally located for stays where you want to see both whistler and Vancouver.

great view of ocean and mountains

This place is just off the coastal highway. the view is perfect. It is a newer two bedroom apartment with plenty of room for a small family of two couples. Everything worked as it should.

Good home base for exploring

Comfortable, clean property, sofa bed was decent, other beds were good. Nice to have two washrooms. Some area rugs upstairs would help the noise from neighbors upstairs walking - was surprisingly loud when they were moving about getting ready for bed - maybe ask upstairs neighbors to walk in socks or barefoot? An area rug or two downstairs would warm up the feel of the space a bit as well. Great coffee down the hill at Outpost Station. Squamish is nearby for food/ice cream. Was a great base to explore from Vancouver to Whistler, and the view is great!

Great Views - Close to Squamish Hiking Trails

The unit (a basement apartment) is very spacious. The kitchen is well equipped and met our needs for a three night stay. The apartment shows signs of being well used over time. It would suggest updating the property description on VRBO site where it is listed a "brand new apartment". We found the bed very firm. Also, we noted and were frequently woken up in late night/early morning hours by heavy footsteps of the occupant of the upstairs unit.

Amplio apartamento con bonitas vistas

El apartamento es muy amplio y tiene unas vistas espectaculares. Las 2 habitaciones son grandes y los armarios enormes. Los baños están muy bien. Lo único que cambiaría es la cortina de la bañera, está un poco vieja. Los cerramientos son muy buenos, dentro no se oye nada la autopista que pasa por delante. La calefacción radiante funciona estupendamente. La cocina es enorme y todo funciona muy bien. Hemos estado muy cómodos y como en casa. Lo recomiendo!

faszinierender Blcik auf die Bucht, Betten 140cm, also eher nur für eine Person geeignet. Gute Badezimmer en suite, Küche und Waschraum mit neuesten Elektrogeräten ausgestattet. Wenig Kochtöpfe, Utensilien sonst in Ordnung. wenn das Appartment darüber vermietet ist, besser Ohrstöpsel nutzen, da ma ndurc hdie Holzdecke alle Trittgeräusche hört. Jan hat usn gute Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben und stand immer bei Fragen zur Verfügung.

Perfect location for relaxing and a little tourism

We loved this location. It was very convenient to Vancouver, Squamish and Whistler. The view was great. The apartment had plenty of tools for cooking. There were plenty of extra sheets, blankets, and towels, paper towels, and toilet paper. The bathrooms were clean and nicely decorated. The view from one of the bedrooms was right out to the bay, so it was lovely to wake up in the morning. The neighborhood is very quite and it is very close to the Britannia Copper Mine which has a great tour. If you are a light sleeper I recommend bringing earplugs because you will likely hear the neighbors upstairs. They are NOT loud or rowdy, it is just the way the house is built. Jan and Andrew were very helpful and easy to reach by text. We would come again.

Enjoyed our stay´, very nice and comfor appartment

We enjoyed our stay in Britania Beach. The appartment is very confortable with a beautiful view on the Howe Sound. Jan was the perfect host, taking care of us . We didn't miss anything. There is lots to do in this area. Squamish and Whistler are closed to Britania Beach and ideal for activities like hiking, cycling, Swimming, etc.. Jan, thank you for this wonderfull stay. Great place with wonderful views

We had a short family get-together in Britannia Beach. Altogether there were 3 adults and three children. The apartment was easily accommodating all of us, as there is a pretty comfortable sofa-bed in the living room. We liked the open concept floor plan of the living room, dining area and the kitchen. The large dining table can fit up to 8 people, and the kitchen is well equipped with all kinds of cooking utensils. Not to forget the the whole apartment is newly renovated and even smells brand new... :-) The views from the windows are to die for, and we were lucky to have perfect weather throughout our stay. We will probably be back there for Christmas.

wonderful place Britannia Beach

We spent four nights in July at the house in Britannia Beach. The house was just renovated and the lower apartment is brand new, spacious, and very well equipped. There was more than enough space for our party of five people. The view was as great as promised in the listing, enhanced by a great weather throughout our stay. Great experience!
