Los Gigantes, a former fishing village located on the sun-drenched west coast of Tenerife, is famous for its majestic jaw-dropping cliffs known as the Acantilados de Los Gigantes that plunge dramatically to the Atlantic. The town was named after the cliffs - Los Gigantes meaning “The Giants.”

There are many places to eat in Los Gigantes! Boutique style shops and a central piazza with a church also feature. The main beach in the town is small and has the natural volcanic black sand of the island.

Nearly one third of all whale and dolphin species pass through the Canary Islands and the coast near to Los Gigantes is a particularly good place for spotting them.
