Hilltop Barn. Full of character in its own meadow with upstairs lounge. Sleeps 6

It is very unfortunate that these two pleasant ladies did not have a better experience. They told me they were very "pernickety" which is often a great advantage since they can pick up on little things that help us improve. We are going to change the duvet for summer and thanks for raising this issue. Their misunderstanding of the layout of the barn is particularly disappointing since the descriptive text is as clear as we could make it and there is a video showing the location of the downstairs bedroom along the decking. This self-contained downstairs en suite third bedroom is usually very attractive to people, particularly for families with members who do not like stairs. There is certainly plenty of room for six people, including children. With our four star Visit England Gold Award rating we obviously try very hard to keep standards high. However we did apologize for the fact that the kitchen floor was not up to our normal standards. This was a rare oversight that should not have occurred. We have a reputation for fast response. On this occasion we had a day of torrential rain on the Saturday but responded to their phone call by attending as soon as they returned. We do feel we did our best with this. I know they enjoyed their trip as a whole and sitting on the loungers when they could enjoy the sunshine during a very soggy period
