So close to the town .great walks in the area .and the bus was outside the property
We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage is comfortable and cozy and very well equipped. We spent the week exploring beautiful Yorkshire. We would love to return sometime.
Perfect mix of old character and modern amenities.
This was the perfect spot! Beautiful with old historic character, yet tastefully renovated to have all the modern comforts. Perfect size for one or two people. Very conveniently located on one of the main roads to town, so easy to find with private parking immediately outside the cottage. The perfect base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, York and even the coast.
Our stay in Wetherby was to have a home base for ourselves whilst visiting family throughout Yorkshire.
The cottage was comfortable and cosy enabling us to have our own space but still being able to socialise and visit family members.
Loved the interior of te cottage. Beautiful bedroom and bathroom. Wel equiped kitchen. York, Leeds and the Dales nearby. Wetherby itself also has good facilities.
The only minor point was the busy road with the constant noice of cars passing.
Lovely cottage but 3 night stay utterly ruined by rock hard mattress on bed. So hard that both of us just couldn't sleep, despite using pillows / cushions/ pilates mat / car rugs to try to create more comfort.
Please be warned if you have a back issue or sciatica or need your sleep. This bed proved less comfortable than camping. Such a shame the landlord hasn't tried sleeping on it!

Hi Alison,
We’re so sorry to hear that you found the mattress uncomfortable. The mattress is a good quality mattress from John Lewis with a mattress topper on top. It is a firm mattress and we appreciate that will not to be everyone’s taste but we felt that would work for the majority. We are sorry that this did not match your personal preference.

Pleasant stay but slightly disappointing in some aspects
The property was well presented but the location was disappointing. However this lack of realisation of the cottage’s position is probably mainly due to my lack of studying the details rather than any lack of description in the advertised details. However for some reason I thought it was in the country with some outside space. In fact the property is on a fairly major road with somewhat limited parking. It is however very conveniently located for the shops and centre of Wetherby. The bedroom and bathroom are comfortable and there is stylish furniture downstairs. However the settee whilst being a magnificent piece of furniture is not comfortable and there is no table to use for eating. There is a breakfast bar which would be an adequate alternative if it had some comfortable stools. The ones provided are very uncomfortable hard wood.
Overall a slightly disappointing stay particularly given the cost.

Thank you for the feedback. I’m so sorry that you found your stay disappointing. Your stay coincided with August Bank Holiday and Leeds Festival, so the rates for this period are the most expensive in the year. We do feel that, on the whole, the cottage is very good value for the standard of accommodation offered. I can only apologise again.
Really enjoyed our short stay in Wetherby - this cottage was comfortable and well-appointed with everything needed for a short break. Wetherby is a lovely town and quite conveniently placed to explore Yorkshire.
Parking at property can be difficult at busy times, but we managed to get parked most days. Will note that pillows in the bed are very soft so might not be ideal if you prefer a firmer pillow!
Otherwise perfect and highly recommend.
Lovely cottage in a lovely area, central to everything and a great base lots of nice places to eat and drink, a small personal issue was the firmness of the mattress which was far too firm for us.
A well appointed cottage close to town. Although on a main road it was very quiet at night. We are in our seventies, but pretty fit. Some older people might find the stairs difficult, the stools uncomfortable, also getting in and out of the bath hard. (I am a retired Occupational Therapist! ) Thank you for a good base to stay for a short break
Perfect location for me to use as a base to visit family in the area.
Very comfortable and well presented cottage.
I'd definitely stay again if it's available when I next visit.
