This one story cottage has one bedroom, one bathroom with single whirlpool tub/shower, living/dining room, fireplace, kitchen and outdoor deck. You can walk to the many activities in Egg Harbor including shops, restaurants and bars, art galleries, free outdoor summer concerts, parks and more. It's only 1/2 mile away from the Egg Harbor beach.

Absolutely loved our stay at this charming one-bedroom cottage! It was clean, cozy, comfortable, and in a great location for enjoying Egg Harbor. Everything we needed was there, and we’d happily stay again.

Excellent location on a short dead end street. Cute, very clean property which met all the basics. A few tweaks would enhance the stay..a second small bedside table,a counter next to the sink..but we would definetly book again.

We had the BEST vacation! This was our first trip to Door County, and this little cottage was the perfect size for me, my husband and our little dog! The location is ideal, central to everything and very walkable. You can see the gorgeous sunset every night on the water right from the porch. Would definitely stay here again. The price is reasonable and the hosts are very friendly!

The hosts were extremely accommodating! We were able to book this last minute and the location was perfect, we could walk to everything we needed in DC, including the dog park. It was not an issue for us, but there are a few steps very close to the driveway leading up to the front of the home. We will stay here again. Highly recommended!

The place was clean and the location was perfect because it was within walking distance to the main street where you could shop, eat and view the sites in Egg Harbor. The downfall of this place is it is not senior friendly. The 3 steps had no railing and there wasn’t enough room to use the steps once the car was parked. The tub was deep with no hand rails. The kitchen was lacking some necessities such as paper towels, limited utensils and no dish washer. It was an okay place to stay.

Ideal location for walking to nearby shops and restaurants in Egg Harbor. The cottage is just as advertised and shown in the pics - small, but efficient. It was clean, great hot water & shower pressure, and WiFi that supported one virtual work day. Didn’t need heat/AC while there or, try the TV, or use the kitchen on our three-night stay, so can’t comment on that. We brought a dog and the porch offered a good enclosed space for sunning and watching pedestrians. Egg Harbor overall was very dog-friendly with many outdoor dining options, a small dog park, and many businesses putting out bowls of water.

Quite surprised to find the walkway to the door was hard to maneuver. Talking about hard! The door leading out to deck doesn’t close properly. Had to butt bump it to close. Do not recommend for older folk with walking balance problems up and down walkway. Very tight parking spot up against bushes ( passenger had to hop out and in on rode way )

I was born and raised in Egg Harbor, Door County, Wisconsin. I attended grade school in Egg Harbor and Gibraltar H.S. in Fish Creek, and I am a UW - Madison graduate. Our family business has been the Alpine Resort and Golf Course in Egg Harbor. After 100 years of ownership, we have sold the business to a new owner. My family continues to rent our eight vacation houses in Egg Harbor seasonally. I have two sons and live in Sturgeon Bay. We have a golden retriever that is very active and playful and he loves to swim.

Why they chose this property

The Blue Jay house has been in our family from the beginning. It's close to all the great things Egg Harbor (and Door County) has to offer. It's only available for vacations in the spring, summer and fall. My family is very protective of this house and keep it very clean and well maintained.

What makes this property unique

This house is the perfect little vacation cottage. It's located in an area of private summer homes with lots of trees and within walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars, the Egg Harbor Marina, galleries, free summer concerts and groceries in Egg Harbor. It's 1/2 mile to the Egg Harbor beach. Located on Whitecliff Road, there's plenty of opportunity for walks with public access to the water every few hundred feet.
