Great stay at a beautiful property right on the water. Josh, the host, went above and beyond to make our stay special. Will definitely consider reserving from him again.
The property was amazing as was the host who made sure we had everything we needed. We absolutely loved kayaking & enjoying the beautiful scenery, as well as the short trip to spend a day at Acadia National Park.
My daughter and I stayed here over Christmas. Beautiful cabin, all you could need. Great views of the lake, very relaxing and cozy. Josh is awesome, could not ask for more from the owner. Thank you!
The location of the property was great. Easy to get to Bar Harbor, Stonnington, and Bangor. The couch in upstairs living room was not really comfortable to sit and watch tv. Overall the place is cozy, cute and has fantastic views of the lake.
A charming Maine cottage nestled in the woods surrounding a majestic pond. We loved hearing the daily call of the Loons that make the pond their home. Sunsets were beautiful from the dock! We loved our stay! Josh, our host, was very friendly and quite accommodating!
Thoroughly enjoyed my 3 week stay on the lake. Beautiful, quiet, while convenient to Bangor shopping, restaurants, entertainment, all 10-15 min away. Audubon reserve next door has good trails. Beautiful sunsets.
House has high cielings and great light. Cozy, somewhat funky older Maine cabin feel. Kitchen is pretty well equipped. Spent many hours kayaking on lake. Owner was responsive and very helpful whenever had questions
This property is delightfully eclectic and located on a gorgeous pond. It was very relaxing to watch all the birds, especially the loons. There is an Audubon center right down the road with many hiking trails and a great little nature center. The provided kayaks were much appreciated and provided much entertainment for our teenagers. Josh was very helpful and responsive. It was the perfect launching spot to stay before dropping off our oldest two children at UMaine.
We rented this cabin for my birthday weekend to be close to Acadia but also on a lake and it was great! Josh was very responsive via text and even let us use the neighbors kayaks because we had a group of three couples. We had an amazing two full days on the lake kayaking and fishing and then spent another day down at Acadia. The fire pit on the lake was very relaxing for nightly s’mores too! One of the people with us said ‘you know this was a great vacation when we didn’t even try to turn the tv on one time’. The neighbors were very friendly too and gave us ideas of where to paddle.
This cute and funky cottage on Fields Pond was perfect for our 4 weeks stay in Maine. The host Josh) was easy to reach and very accommodating. The pond was such a treat to look at every morning while we had coffee. The loons were singing every morning and evening. We even saw a mated pair carrying their chicks around the lake and taking care of them. Josh provided kayaks, paddles and life preservers so we could cruise the lake everyday. Lots of toys and games In the walkout basement for my kiddos. Loved, loved our stay!
If you want to be right on a peaceful lake this is the place to rent. It's the perfect to sit out and watch the sunset while listening to the loons and watching the eagles soar above. Lots of deer and other wildlife are around. The road to it is very private so no through traffic yet it's very close to stores, restaurants, and hiking trails. Kayaks are provided and it's an easy launch from the dock.
Truly a great experience! Exceptional housing and view. Very well stocked with just about anything you may need. Thanks Josh for the part you played our vacation plans
We had an awesome time in Josh/Linda's charming cottage! The location provides access to the Maine wilderness (lake, woods), as well as conveniences of a town (shopping, eateries). Generous hosts, great communication. We hope to be back!
We has a marvelous time at Everymoon Cottage on Fields Pond. Josh was a gracious and accommodating host and Fields Pond is beautiful and peaceful with virtually no motorboats; a great place to kayak or just enjoy the view and the echo of loon song. Our 20 somethings and our teen had a great time on the lake too. It's also within an hour of Acadia National Park-an easy drive to the coast-- and not far from Bangor / Brewer should you need to go shopping.
My husband turned 84 the day we arrived. Because we live in Florida he hadn’t seen Fall foliage in many years so to sit in front of the five windows and have such a beautiful view made his day extra special. We loved the location, we enjoyed the decorations and were very comfortable there. I would love to come back in late April so he could watch Spring arrive.
I think the most important aspect of this rental is the opening/window between the bathroom and the rest of the house. I do not understand why this is not the first thing that all the reviews comment on. It is bizarre. Why would you have an opening? You can hear everyone peeing! The rest of the house is quirky, which is fine. But the other problem was the overwhelming mustiness of the place. When we arrived it was very musty. After opening all the windows and circulating the air with a fan, the smell diminished. But the downstairs was unbearable. Nobody stayed down there except the dog in her crate. The lake was absolutely gorgeous! The loons and their calling was beautiful. I could deal with how quirky the place is, but the opening to the bathroom and the musty smell is the reason I gave it 3 stars.

The "window" to the bathroom has been closed off. Nobody seems to find this house musty except Linnea, perhaps it was the dog.
There is a nice, large basement recreation room with an adjoining bedroom. The entire area is carpeted, and comfortable with couches, chairs kids games, toys and a fireplace. The sliding door opens out onto the lawn by the water.
Hard to beat! imho.
We had such a great time staying at Josh’s place. The house was the perfect size and had plenty of space to accommodate our group of six. We were in town for a concert and had a great time relaxing back at the house and enjoying all that the lake had to offer. Josh was an excellent host and the house is clean, well taken care of and well equipped with everything needed for a cozy stay in the woods. We easily could have spent more time there relaxing and enjoying the views of the lake. We hope to return sometime again soon to check out more of what Maine has to offer.
Cabin was immaculate, cozy and rustic. Lake access and kayak availability. Just what we wanted. Close to Bangor and Acadia for day trips. Josh was very communicative and helpful. We will be back.
We were looking for a Maine cottage by a lake and we got a Maine cottage by the lake. We were looking for rustic and homey and the Everymoon cottage was just that.
Fishing was great. My daughter caught more than I did. It was close to Bangor and the owner was very attentive. We enjoyed are short trip to the Everymoon cottage very much.
