If the Ice Caves are opened by the National Park System in Bayfield, we may open. You must have an all wheel drive vehicle in winter for the steep driveway at The Pilot House!
The Pilot House "Admirals Quarters" on first level downtown Bayfield. Lake Views! Located at the corner of 1st Street and Washington Avenue. Just steps from the Madeline Island Ferry, beaches, and kayak rentals, with coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, galleries, museums, marinas, and the library all within a short walk. The Iron Bridge Trail is just up the hill—no car needed.

Private Bath including jetted tub and separate shower, Roku 43" TV, WIFI, in room coffee, mini-refrigerator, King Bed & Queen Sofa-Sleeper, Sleeps 4 in 1 large bedroom, walk-in closet, table with 2 chairs, dresser, night stands, private door to outside East Lake View Deck. Lake Views, Walk to Everything! Overlooks Downtown Bayfield, Harbor, Madeline Island and Basswood Island. Common areas inside & out include (2) Large Lakeview Decks, Living Room, Octagon Lake View Living Room. Just 1 block from water and Ferry. Walk to everything in Bayfield. You are downtown next to the lake! Private parking just steps from main entrance.

Breakfast Blue Berry Muffins, yogurts, orange & grape juice. Coffee maker with coffee and condiments in room along with a Mini Refrigerator. Guests may use our Ice Machine in refrigerator and microwave. Paper plates, forks, knives, spoons, napkins, extra coffee, and condiments on table next to Refrigerator in Dining room.

After making a reservation, we will email you and you must immediately reply to our email (not VRBO messaging) with your full address, names of guests and which are adults and children and their addresses, for Wisconsin Guest Registry Statute.
Please note that VRBO will not allow us to message you with our email address and if we attempt to do so, they will block the email out. This must be done within 1 hour of making the reservation on VRBO. We will attempt to text you as well. After we receive we will then email you from our email the arrival instructions, door codes, and any applicable parking permits to print and bring to your accommodation on date of your arrival.

We had a fantastic stay at the Pilot House. Wonderful views of Lake Superior, within walking distance of the lake and downtown and many restaurants. The hosts were wonderful, friendly, welcoming, and shared great tips about the area. The common area was superb. We had the fortunate happenstance of being the only ones renting during our stay b/c it was after the summer season and during the week. We shared the Admirals Quarters between three of us and there was plenty of room.Check-in was very easy and communication during the reservation process was prompt and clear. I would HIGHLY recommend this stay and we look forward to another stay at some time in the future.

Beautiful harbor view and Jack the host was very pleasant and helpful. I was in the Admirals Suite which was very spacious with a mini-fridge, AC, fan, and comfortable bed, along with additional amenities. Very short walk to downtown Bayfield and the ferry to Madelyn Island. Had a great stay! It wasn't an issue for me, but for those who are sensitive to morning light there is a skylight that does not have a shade.

We stayed in Bayfield, Wisconsin for a few days in the autumn. The B&B was very comfortable and Admiral Quarters room was an excellent place to stay for our visit. The bed was very comfortable. Jack and Marie were excellent hosts.
