About this property

Victoria Gite centrally located in Normandy near Mont St Michel & D Day beaches

Our beautiful Gite 'Victoria' is a 200 year old stone built house. It is available to let all year round, there is a log burner in the living room which heats the Gite. It has three bedrooms, 1 double on 1st floor (along with family bathroom) and 1 double and bunk beds on 2nd floor. On the ground floor there is a kitchen, living/dining area and a downstairs shower room with a washing machine. Out the back door is a private garden area with table and chairs and a charcoal BBQ. Free Wifi is available in the Gites. There is a large communal play area to the doting of the property with a pétanque court, swings and football goals.

This Gite is available to book with our other Gite 'Amelia' if you require a large party booking. We can also offer this property as a one bedroomed property at a discounted rate out of the main season. Please message for more details.

Please note, we live onsite and there is no longer a splash pool.

The property is well located but is not really as described. The photos are all from quite a few years ago. All the facilities are there but nothing quite works properly. It wasn’t very clean and felt very dingy. The outside is a bit of a mess. The main bedroom was very nice and the attic was great for kids. The owners were very nice and welcoming.

Nous ne sommes pas restés à cause des punaises de lit. Notre fils a été piqué cette nuit et nous craignons de ramener cet insecte dans notre maison. Notre fille a déjà eu un épisode similaire et ça lui a coûté cher. Nous tentons d'obtenir un dédommagement mais cela s'avère très compliqué. La propriétaire nous accuse maintenant d'avoir apporté chez cette infestation. Nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit. Dommage.

Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour! L'accueil de nos hôtes Deborah et son mari, la propreté, le petit bois et les bûchettes à disposition pour le poêle, les pièces spacieuses, le petit jardin bien clôturé pour nos toutous, la tranquillité du lieu, c'était juste parfait ! Bravo et Merci!

Super sejour dans ce gite qui nous a dessuite plu. Le coin est très calme et reposant, le matin à l'ouverture des rideaux et des fenetres, le calme et la nature sont apaisant. Propriétaire pas du tout envahissant et réceptif pour toute demande de renseignements. Sur demande de lait frais venu tout droit de la ferme, la propriétaire sest dessuite renseigner et le lendemain, une gentille dame m'a livré 2 litres de lait cru, quel bonheur. Unser Aufenthalt im September 2022

Standort: Ca. 1 Km außerhalb des Ortes Percy, sehr ruhig gelegen. Von der Bundesstraße hört man beinahe nichts. Weitläufige ländliche Umgebung. Die nächsten Gebäude liegen wenigstens 100 Meter entfernt. Die Entfernung zum Ort ist die einzige „schwäche“ des Objektes. Allerdings liegt es nicht in der Macht des Eigentümers daran etwas ändern zu können. Das Internet. Tagsüber eigentlich noch O.K.. Will wer aber abends ins Netz, dann ist die Leitung oft so sehr ausgelastet, so dass das Aufrufen von Seiten nicht möglich ist. Wer ins Netz will oder muss, sollte auf seinem Handy lieber eine Portion extra Datenvolumen mitnehmen. Gebäude: Gepflegter Zustand. Einfache, funktionale Ausstattung und alles da, was man braucht. Geräumig, für 4 bis 6 Personen gut geeignet. TV ist supper! Auf englisch und französisch. Somit gab es keine Debatten über Fernsehzeiten. Küche: Kühlschrank, kleiner Gefrierschank, Töpfe, Messer etc. alles bis zur Mikrowelle da. Passt. Um das Gebäude herum: Sehr viel Grün, Kinder kann man einfach rennen lassen. Große Wiese direkt am Haus mit 2x Toren. Wer es braucht: auch einen Pool. Mit den Kindern hier spielen? Kein Problem. Die Katze der Eigentümer “Cäptn" war für unsere jüngste ein ständiger (Kuschel-) Begleiter. Katzenallergie sollte man vielleicht nicht gerade haben, wenn man dort Urlaub machen möchte. :-) Action: In der Nähe des Hauses keine, hier gilt: Ruhen, entspannen. Aber sehr guter Ausgangspunkt (vorausgesetzt, das Meer ist nicht die Hauptattraktion), man könnte fast schon von Zentraler Lage sprechen, für all die Ausflugsmöglichkeiten die die Normandie und darüber hinaus so bietet. Was man für das tägliche braucht: Intermarche, Tankstelle, Bäcker….alles innerhalb von 5 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Oder zu Fuß 15-20 Minuten. Wir hätten uns ab und an ein paar Fahrräder gewünscht. Außer den „bekannten Highlights“, können wir noch folgendes sehr empfehlen. Zoo de Champrepus. www.zoo-champrepus.com Jeden Cent Eintritt wert. Freizeitpark: Ange Michel. www.angemichel.com Auch hier haben die kleineren und großen Kinder gleichermaßen viel Spass. Auf dem Rückweg von Ange Michel bietet es sich an über Brecey zu fahren. Kinder: HUNGER!! Eher zufällig sind wir dort auf ein „Kebab Haus“ gestoßen. Brécey Kebab Haus. 4 Place de L’Hotel de Ville fürs Navi. Wir sind eigentlich keine Fans dieser Esskultur. Diese Burger und Co. waren jedoch überraschend gut. Was gibt es zu nörgeln? Wir haben einen guten Besen vermisst.

Très bon séjour!

Très jolie gîte, avec tous les équipements nécessaires pour passer un bon séjour. Bien placé pour partir visiter aussi bien le mont Saint Michel que les plages du débarquements. Gîte au calme et avec en bonus un grand terrain de jeux qui a ravi mes enfants après les journées de visite. Merci beaucoup aux propriétaires!

Séjour dans un petit coin tranquille

Nous avons passés un agréable séjour à Percy en Nrmandie. Petit coin ou l on respire la tranquillité... Beaucoup de ballades à faire aux alentours et beaucoup de visites. Toller Familienurlaub

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit bei Deborah und David! Die Gite entsprach genau unseren Vorstellungen: das Haus selbst bietet viel Platz und das Gelände ist weitläufig,so dass man vor.und auch hinter dem Haus sitzen kann oder auf der Wiese Fußball spielt oder - das war das Sahnehäubchen - in den Pool springt. Insgesamt ein sehr familienfreundlicher Ort!

Unsere Urlaubsrettung

Eigentlich wären wir am 15. August nach Spanien aufgebrochen - das auswärtige Amt und Corona haben am Abend vor der Abfahrt unsere Urlaubspläne durchkreuzt. Gott sei Dank konnten wir am Abend noch die Gite de les Jonquilles finden und Anfragen. Gastgeberin Deborah hat auch binnen Minuten geantwortet und ein paar Nachrichten später konnten wir die Buchung fertig machen und sind 6 Stunden später aufgebrochen nach Percy. Das Ferienhäuschen liegt malerisch auf einem Hügel am Rande des Städtchen Percy-en-Normandie, fußläufig sind mehrere Bäcker, Fleischer und ein großer Supermarkt erreichbar. Jeden Tag frische Baguettes beim Morgenspaziergang zu holen hat schon etwas. Die Französische Küche ist ja sowieso über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Apropos Küche: diese ist für ein Ferienhaus sehr gut ausgestattet, von Kochmessern über Töpfe, Gläser, Pfannen etc. ist alles ausreichend vorhanden. Wer nicht selber kochen will, im Nachbarstädtchen Villedieu kann ich das Restaurant "Le Fruitier" sehr empfehlen - ich hatte noch nie so einen guten Burger, und auch der Rest meiner Familie waren von ihren Mahlzeiten begeistert. Der Strand ist von Percy etwa 30 Minuten entfernt, in Coutainville und Agon kann man herrlich die Weite der Strände in Ruhe genießen, auch mit Hund. Apropos Hund: Rund um das Haus herrscht Leinenpflicht, die Besitzer haben Katzen. Dafür hat jedes Ferienhäuschen hinter dem Haus einen abgezäunten Garten, in dem sich der Hund frei bewegen kann. Das Ferienhaus selber ist sehr einfach eingerichtet, hat aber dank seines Alters einen eigenen Charme. Wir waren insgesamt 6 Personen im Haus und hatten zu keiner Zeit das Gefühl, das Haus wäre zu klein für uns. Alles in Allem hat Deborah uns den Urlaub gerettet, dank Ihrer schnellen Antwort und ihres schönen Domizils. Wir werden bestimmt in ein paar Jahren wieder kommen!

Venez au Victoria gîte

Accueil très sympathique de ce couplé d'anglais. La cheminée était allumée à notre arrivée . La propriétaire parle assez bien français. Nous y retournerons sans doute aux beaux jours pour profiter du grand jardin et de la nature environnante bien que nous soyons à 5mn de la ville. Vous pouvez y aller en toute confiance

Lovely rural gite

This gite is a delightful and rustic old property which has retained its character. The property is well equipped and has everything you need for cooking and sleeping to use the house as a base for exploring the area. Percy is a lovely quaint typical French village and Villedieu-les-Poêles at about 6 miles away is stunning. We had our boxer dog with us and he enjoyed the private back garden on our gite and the much bigger front field for a run with his ball . David and Deborah and their girls were great and very helpful with information about the house . All in all a lovely if somewhat hectic week .

Victoria Gite was a delightful, comfortable place from which to tour Normandy sites.

The Victoria and Amelia Gites were the perfect places for our son, daughter-in-law, two teen sons, and my husband and me. Deborah, David, and their two daughters made us feel so welcome and relaxed. Our grandsons enjoyed the pool and the other activities available to us. Deborah supplied us with delicious fresh eggs from her hens, wine, and other treats that were so thoughtful. Percy is a lovely small town perfectly located within easy driving distances to Mont St-Michel, Normandy beaches, Granville on the Atlantic, and more. We left feeling that we had genuinely experienced the charm and beauty of the French countryside. Our grandsons would have preferred to stay right where we were for the remainder of our trip. They proclaimed it to be "Awesome!"

un gite conforme et des structures (piscine et aire de jeux mais je devrais citer jardin avec mobilier de jardin et barbecue indépendant que nous n'avons pas trop utilisé) qui ont fait la joie des enfants et des grands.Des attentions qui rendent le séjour fort agréable. Les hôtes sont très agréables et disponibles. franchement séjour parfait sans prise de tête et le rendu du gite n'est pas source de stress bien sur si l'on fait le minimum nécessaire.

I have worked in hospitality since leaving school, providing fantastic customer service is a passion of mine. We all enjoy meeting new friends and welcoming people to our property. We have kept our pricing low to reflect that we are a new business, and also to provide a fantastic family holiday home that doesn't cost a fortune. Why they chose this property

We are centrally based in La Manche with excellent road links to all the major attractions in the area. Le Mont Saint Michel is only 45 mins away. The D Day beaches and museums are around 50-60 minutes drive, as is Bayeux. The seaside towns of Saint Pair sur Mer, Granville, Coudeville, Carrolles, Brehal, Julllouville are all around 40 mins drive. Champrepus Zoo is just 15 mins drive, an excellent day out where you can see many animals in beautiful surroundings. Parc Ange Michel, a theme park is around 45 mins drive, great fun for all the family. The historic walled town of St Malo is an hour away.

We are ideally based for many transportation links, the ferry ports of St Malo and Caen are an hours drive and Cherbourg is a 70 minute drive. Dieppe is just over a two hour drive and Calais 4 hours. Rennes airport is a 90 minute drive and Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris is 3 hours 20 minutes away.

What makes this property unique

We are ideally located in a quiet country lane with only 5 other properties. Yet, we are only a 10 minute walk to the Intermarche and nearest boulangerie into the lovely traditional town of Percy. Percy has two restaurants, two bars, two banks and a fantastic fresh fruit and veg shop along with many other amenites such as fuel stations, hair dressers, beauty salon, post office, doctors surgery and pharmacy.
