Whether you’re visiting the Cotswolds for its stunning country walks or to wander around its picturesque villages and towns, this traditional 4-bed stone cottage couldn’t be better placed for exploring this beautiful part of the country. Nestled just off Sheep Street where farmers would once have herded sheep to market, you’ll be just a stroll from Stow’s amazing dining pubs, cafes and boutiques, not to mention the public footpaths leading deep into the rolling countryside.

Dating back 150 years, this former barn is now a charming, elegantly furnished retreat ideal for a relaxing break or walker’s getaway. With a combination of king size, twin and single bedrooms, the cottage offers flexible sleeping arrangements ideal for groups or families. Each bedroom is bright and serene, decorated in soft hessian tones and with quality furnishings.

A charming country kitchen is the perfect place to prepare a hearty breakfast before setting out for the day. The warm, inviting living room offers comfortable sofas and log burner to cosy up around on cooler nights. In summer, the French doors can be thrown open to the patio, creating a flowing indoor-outdoor space. Step onto your quaint courtyard terrace where evening drinks can be enjoyed as the sun goes down.

Ground Floor

Kitchen:
This well-equipped, modern country kitchen has everything you need for an enjoyable holiday, including electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, toaster and Nespresso coffee maker.

Living/Dining Room:
This lovely open-plan living-dining room is bright and spacious, furnished with large sofa, cosy armchairs and a dining table seating seven. Watch a movie or your favourite series together on the smart TV around the log burner on open the French doors in the summer with music playing on the Bluetooth speaker for some atmosphere. Enjoy sociable breakfasts and meals at the table, prepared with ingredients purchased from Stow’s wonderful bakeries and gourmet food shops.

Utility/Laundry Room:
A handy space with washing machine, tumble dryer and pantry-style cupboard.

Cloakroom:
Downstairs cloakroom with WC and hand basin.

First Floor

Bedroom One:
This beautiful master bedroom is a bright and relaxing space with an inviting king-size bed, ideal for resting after a long day exploring the Cotswolds. A large chest of drawers and wardrobe provide plenty of storage and hanging space. The room also features a TV and full-length mirror.

En suite:
The master bedroom’s en-suite has a full bath with wall-mounted controls and cleverly concealed taps, an over-bath shower, WC and basin.

Bedroom Two:
Featuring a king-size bed, bedroom two overlooks the patio garden at the rear of the cottage. A cleverly built-in wardrobe and dressing table provide plenty of room to store clothes. A handy full-length mirror is also provided.

Bedroom Three:
Bedroom Three is a charming twin room with two single beds. This bright and airy room, with accents of soft duck egg blue, overlooks the front of the cottage and includes ample storage space in the dressing table, chest of drawers, and built-in wardrobe.

Bedroom Four:
Bedroom Four is a pretty single room overlooking the rear patio garden. It features a single bed, built-in wardrobe, dressing table and mirror.

Family Bathroom:
This spacious family bathroom has a large bath; perfect for a soak after a day’s walking in the Cotswolds. It includes a high-quality over-bath shower, WC and basin.

Outside
To the rear of the cottage is a patio garden with a table seating 7, a lovely space to relax and enjoy summer afternoons and evenings outside. The courtyard can be made secure for children by closing the large wooden entrance gate. A parking area offers space for one car and an EV charging point. Street parking also available.

The Stow Horse Fair is a traditional traveller’s event which has taken place for hundreds of years. Traveller’s gather twice a year, on the closest Thursday around the 15th May and the 24th October. For several days surrounding the event, some local shops, pubs, and restaurants will be closed in the town. Please note the fair can be cancelled or rescheduled at short notice.
