Beautiful Sunset-Facing 6-Bedroom Cottage & Boathouse on Central Lake Rosseau
Set on a quiet bay in central Lake Rosseau, this beautiful year-round estate faces due west, enjoying beautiful, windless sunsets all year. We also get sun first thing in the morning; it's exceedingly rare to get both on the lake.
Post-and-beam structures and reclaimed barn-board floors epitomize Muskoka living. Six bedrooms, two open kitchens, two wood-burning and one gas fireplace, cathedral-ceiling living room, wrap-around decks, boathouse bar, 4 50+" HD TVs, enormous campfire pit, hot tub, private boathouse condo, and much more.
Just five minutes from Port Sandfield by land or lake. 10 minutes from Port Carling. Easy access to Lake Joseph via Joe River or Port Sandfield. 5 minutes from the spa at JW Marriott. Fantastic combination of location and luxury.
As of 2023, we now have Bell Fibe (fibre internet). It's hard to believe, but the internet is better than a Toronto office building. You can "work from home" with ease.
The property is occupied year-round. It’s a wonderful fall or winter getaway. Please note the outdoor plumbing - including the hot tub - must be shut down for the winter.

Thanks for the 5-star review. We are happy you enjoyed your stay and hope to host you again in the future. All the best!
We loved our stay. The hot tub, the kayaks, the shallow swimming area, the games, the boathouse darts and lounge areas, the magical outdoor dining, so many areas for family to gather together and chill with lots of space. The property is home to so much nature the only downside being the travelling geese and water fowl which visit often orherwise our stay was amazing and we can’t wait to return. Thank you Scott and family for your attentive hospitality and incredible welcome basket!!!!

A beautiful spot with everything you need to be happy
This cottage was amazing. We met there as a halfway point between Toronto and Sudbury so the family could enjoy Thanksgiving together. It exceeded all expectations. The nice thing about this cottage is that it feels "comfortable" so you settle in very quickly and don't worry about messing things up. It made it more enjoyable for a family with a dog and kids. Plus between the upstairs, the main level, the "basement" (above ground) and the boathouse, there was tons of space. The kitchen had everything you needed and there were kayaks and a canoe as well as lots of outdoor seating. The owners really think of everything and the only thing we had to go to town to buy was more marshmallows (they even provide the roasting sticks). The view was the best part - a beautiful inlet just off the lake that was quiet but had stunning views. The owner Scott was incredibly flexible and easy to deal with and the holiday was a complete success. Highly recommended!
My husband and I enjoyed the week we spent at the cottage. The cottage is equipped with everything you would want or need. We can’t wait to visit again.
The cottage and boat house are even more impressive in person, pictures don't do this place justice ! The cottage manual Scott provides once you have booked is perfect, it helps you think of things you may not have otherwise. Absolutely everything you can possibly need is there for you .... you really feel at home !! I was there with my family, my dogs and friends for Thanksgiving and the week after, all of us loved the space and cannot wait to go back again ! Thank you Scott and family for sharing your beautiful cottage and making our stay perfect !
This property was exactly what we needed. Location is stunning, pix are 100% accurate, lots of privacy but also easy access to town. Scott was extremely responsive which was great as it was my first time in the region so I did have some questions. We hope to make it an annual tradition.
This is a great property with lot's to do to keep people engaged. The boathouse was amazing! The main house is functional for sleeping and food prep. We enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor shower frequently. The property is in a quiet bay which we really loved! Great for kids to be in the water and for paddling around on the kayaks and SUP's. A great vacation with a larger group.
What a stunning property; the cottage, boathouse and the grounds were beautiful. Scott and Brandon were a pleasure to deal with, and everything at the cottage was beyond what was represented in the pictures online. We can't say enough about this place and will be back again. What a fantastic experience for family and our dogs. Thanks again for being able to enjoy your home away from home!
Perfectly located cottage - so close to Port Carling, Port Sandfield. Excellent shallow water for young kids and older adults and plenty of afternoon sun for all!
Extended family vacation - shallow entry into water with sandy bottom. Hours of play for the kids = hours of relaxation for adults. Kitchen is beautiful and well-equipped. The bar at the boathouse was a gathering place while we took turns making dinner in the big house. Love this place!
My wife, son and I stayed for two weeks at Westview and enjoyed it immensely. The shallow sandy entry around the dock and the boathouse is perfect for younger children and the bar on the upper deck at the boathouse is perfect for adult cocktail hour. The cottage and the boathouse are well-appointed and well-stocked and Scott was a pleasure to deal with. We wanted to extend our stay, but it was too popular and already booked. We look forward to visiting next year!
Had a wonderful long weekend in September with 3 generations of my family. The cottage was perfect lots of room and well laid out for the 10 of us . Fantastic secluded Bay with great fishing and Private beach. Enjoyed Beautiful sunsets from the Huge deck over the boat house and the yard has lots of flat Grass to play lawn games. Great location close to all the top Muskoka golf courses. Loved it so much we booked it this summer with a group of friends.
Fantastic location. Great property, well maintained. Very central location in Muskoka. Shallow water great for young kids. Nice highways for cycling. Owner was very responsive and easy to deal with. Would definitely rent here again.

Wonderful lakefront property
The house is exactly as the pictures portray; cozy and warm. Being located directly on the lake it's simply a walk out the door to the water. The grounds are lovely and the view each morning over coffee was a great way to begin our day.

Beautiful Location
Perfect cottage for celebrating a 60th Birthday with family. The complete package. The cottage is very well equipped. It has everything you need for enjoying a week in the beautiful Muskokas, including a family of ducks nesting on the shore. It’s centrally located between Minett and Port Carling and on a quiet road. Hiking trails are nearby to enjoy the beauty of Muskoka.

Fantastic Muskoka Cottage
My family had a wonderful time at this fantastic Muskoka cottage. The owners were very responsive to our questions and made sure that our stay went smoothly. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare family meals. The sandy beach gradually slopes into the lake which is great for young kids. The shallow water allowed the water to be a lot warmer than other parts of the lake. Overall we loved our time at this cottage and look forward to returning soon.

Fantastic Location!
What a gem! We never got tired of the view. This cottage had everything friends and/or a family could ask for. The cottage is close to town, but nestled in the most beautiful bay which is very peaceful. The loons and ducks would visit daily because it is such an ideal location. Great space for kids to run around and relaxing enough for the adults. Couldn't ask for anything more. We will definitely visit again. Scott was great to deal with and super helpful!

Perfect Muskoka Lakeside Cottage
We have been coming to this gem of a place for a few years now and can't say enough good things about it. The property is as beautiful as the pictures show. The open lay out of the house makes for a perfect common area where friends and family can sit by the fire, eat, and play games. The boathouse has an outdoors bar and TV with a large deck. We enjoy the fire pit, large yard, and extensive shoreline. Perfect to watch the sunset or stars at night.
Scott has always been responsive and keeps the house in perfect condition. The are is quiet and feels like your little corner of paradise. We can't wait to go back!

In summary, whether you're looking to get away with friends, family, or business colleagues, I would highyl recommend this Cottage.

Incredible lake cottage!
This was one of the best vacation experiences of my life. The cottage sits on a beautiful lake with wonderful indoor and outdoor space to enjoy with family and friends. Sitting by the water at night and watching the stars was a unique experience. The home is very well decorated with a large open common area and inviting kitchen.
