Great cottage. Had everything that a toddler requires. Quiet location with plenty of parking. A small beach that you kids can search for sea life amongst the rocks. Perfect location with beautiful views of nubble light house.
Location, location, location w amazing view of Nubble Light! Ty to both Julia and Judy. We’ll be back next year!

Oceanfront casual cabin with everything we needed.
3 friends, a 7lb. Maltese and a 180lb.Mastiff had a lovely 5 night stay. Julia gave us a tour when we arrived. A gracious hostess for sure. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets. The private beach is a little tricky to get to due to the rocky geography. We were able to order out or cook easily. The loft area upstairs is a child’s dream. Young children would need a little help with the steep stairs. Beautiful yard and garden. Thank you for letting us share your family home.

Location can't be beat
Our family of five had a fabulous week at Salt Winds last week. The three kids (5,7, and 9) all slept upstairs and my husband and I slept downstairs. The master bed was small for us since we are used to a king, but there are so many sleeping options there that we all just decided to sleep in our own bed and it worked great. There's nothing like falling asleep to and waking up to the sounds of the ocean. The ocean-side porch is beautiful and comfortable. The outside shower was perfect for rinsing off with after the beach. We averaged 8 hours of beach time each day so we didn't spend too much time at the house, but when we were there it had everything we needed, including a grill, wifi, shed with beach toys/chairs/umbrellas, and plenty of kitchen accessories for the minimal cooking we did. We even had the bonus of seeing an occasional seal swimming in the harbor! Our kids enjoyed exploring the rocks at low tide in front of the house more than swimming at high tide. They prefer the sandy beaches in town, but we brought a kayak and a stand-up paddle board and those were both perfect for use right in front of the house. Salt Winds was perfectly located in our opinion. Close enough to the sandy beaches but not in the midst of the noisier parts of the beachfront, and the best part for us was the peaceful view of the ocean right outside the door without having to look across a busy road. If the owner's would have us, we'd definitely be interested in spending another week there next summer. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy your home. - Liz and Conor

About the host
Hosted by Julia Snay
My sister and I inherited the cottage in 2013. We grew up in Newton MA and both are now living in NH.
Why they chose this property
Our dad built the cottage in 1949. Our family summered there every year. The three of us kids worked many summers at the Goldenrod. We'd like to now offer the opportunity for others to enjoy the peacefulness of relaxing in the sun and listening to the waves.
What makes this property unique
Postcard view of the Nubble Light from the deck or the picture window. Newly built deck, front entryway, new water heater & pipes. Rustic charm of knotty pine in the great room and exposed beams in other areas. Enjoy grilling your meals and playing yard games.
