This beautiful African-chic home offers the perfect balance of comfort, privacy, and convenience. Located in a quiet, secure gated neighborhood, the property is just 12 minutes from Johannesburg’s major attractions and the airport, while still feeling like a peaceful retreat far from the city.
With full solar power, you’ll never lose access to lights or Wi-Fi during load shedding.
The rooms are exceptionally large, making the space ideal not only for relaxing holidays, but also for remote work, creative retreats, or even a pop-up showroom. A dedicated office with Wi-Fi is available for guests needing a comfortable workspace.
Wake each morning to birdsong — over 16 species visit the garden daily. The expansive property offers plenty of space for children to play, afternoons by the pool, or outdoor lunches beneath the traditional thatched lapa. The vegetable and herb garden often has fresh produce ready to pick, and guests are welcome to enjoy it.
The kitchen is fully equipped, and the beds are dressed with quality cotton and bamboo linens for a restful night’s sleep.
Daily basic housekeeping is included, and our domestic helper can also assist with washing and ironing upon request.
As with many Johannesburg homes, the property is protected by high perimeter walls and exterior security cameras for added peace of mind and an alarm system. Secure garage parking is also available.

Highly recommended
The house is large and clean. We can recommend it highly. It is a safe area to move around in and it's close to the Shopping Mall.
The servant is wonderful, helpful and pleasant to talk to. We enjoyed every day.
It will be on our list for the next trip from Canada to S.A.

Great place to stay in Johannesburg
What a wonderful place to stay. Very roomy, large property and the owner is fantastic.
Mini, the owner, lives downstairs and is very helpful in giving recommendations, providing
help in many ways and makes you feel right at home. A wonderful, home away from home
that I would highly recommend.

I have lived in three countries and find I have a restless soul, hence I now live in two continents. I stopped liking hotels years ago and for this reason, I turned this house into the kind of place I would like to stay in when traveling with family or a group of friends.
Why they chose this property
It is beautiful, it is large, it is super clean and it is like an oasis in the city, green and quiet yet so close to everything
What makes this property unique
The house is set on the side of the mountain, so there is another level where there are two apartments. One is where Jenny lives, and the other is where I stay when in town.
It is less than 2 km's away from the beginning of the Hwy system which will take you to any point in JHB in a few minutes
