Scituate is a quaint seaside town that offers the charm of Cape Cod without the traffic. This friendly community boasts a beautiful harbor with unique speciality shops. There are grocery stores, a movie theater, a basketball court, a bowling alley, golf courses and many restaurants that will appeal to all ages.
This recently renovated cottage is situated on a private section of Sand Hills Beach and can accommodate 4 parked cars on the property. The beach is primarily stone studded but changes with every storm. Beach is accessed from 6 steps off the seawall and beach stairs are not available in September and October. (All beach photos are taken from the patio, water shoes are recommended.) A sandier public beach is 6 houses away. And there are several other public beaches within a 10 to 15 minute walk from the house.
The first floor has an open floor plan. And the well equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. There is a half bath with a stackable laundry unit off the kitchen and an outdoor shower head. (not enclosed). The dining room seats 8 comfortably and is open to the family room, which has A/C, a ceiling fan, comfy seating and a large screen TV above the fireplace. Games,toys,movies, puzzles, cards, wireless speaker and more can be found in the entertainment unit. And a wall of windows showcases the panoramic views.
A sliding glass door leads to a covered porch/patio and the open ocean. The patio has plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas, corn hole game, kayak, paddle board,life jackets,outdoor checkers and a propane grill.
The second level has a full bath with tiled shower stall ( no tub) and 4 modestly sized yet private bedrooms. The 4 bedrooms have A/C window units, closets and ceiling fans. 3 bedrooms have flat screen TVs.
Hardwood and tile floors along with white washed wooden ceilings are some of the updated finishes. The entire cottage has Wifi and is also heated. It is not available during the winter or for long term bookings. Rent based on 7 guests. Extra fees for the 8th guest will be applied. The sleeping arrangements can accommodate a MAX of 8 guests, including children and infants. Larger groups should keep in mind the cottage has limited space in bedrooms. And one indoor shower.
