Huge (8500 sq feet) architect designed 4 (or 5) bedroom oceanfront villa in the gated community of Vista Mar. 5th bedroom (master suite) available for extra $250/night. 1 hour west of Panama City on the warm Pacific Ocean. Vista Mar boasts one of the best golf courses in Panama at very reasonable rates. Beach Club, Beach Club restaurant, Marina (boat and ocean activities available for rent) and Marina restaurant a short walk from the house. Fully equipped kitchen with bbq and multiple large outdoor shaded terraces. Full time staff (husband and wife) on site available to cook and provide additional services if desired for modest additional fee (arranged on sight). Internet coverage throughout the house. Smart TV in kitchen and rec room. Just bring along your Netflix/Prime account. Large infinity plunge pool and gorgeous 35 m lap pool for playing, floating, cooling off or exercise. 30 steps down your private concrete staircase to large sandy beach and warm Pacific Ocean (safe to swim for all ages). Beautiful home in Panama

This house was magnificent. Clean, modern, well appointed. Fantastic sound system, kitchen appliances and beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean and marina. Large open decks. Javier the house assistant on site was accommodating and helpful. We can’t wait to to go back. return.

Perfect view in a very nice home

The house is huge and very clean ! Javier is super helpful if anything is needed. The pool and terrace are the "place to be" in this house ! Everything was fine for our family week !

A Fabulous House for Vacation

This is, by far, the nicest place I've stay in using VRBO. The house is AMAZING, the ocean view exquisite, the location very safe, and the graciousness of the caretaker very fine. We had a little hiccup at the beginning getting onto the property but after a few phone calls, we were able to get things moving in the right direction. Javier, the caretaker, is very gracious. He speaks very little English so future renters might want to be sensitive to this, particularly if you have need to communicate something important to him. Google Translate was a valuable ally at times. Chef Pascal's restaurant is a five-minute drive from the house, an outstanding place with a French-born owner. Good grocery shopping about 20 minutes away in nearby Coronado. Will definitely consider returning here in the future.

Best house in Vista Mar!!

We were a family of 5 and had more than enough space at this beautiful house. We stayed for 9 days and here are the key takeaways summarized: 1) The design of this house makes it very unique and truly gives one the ability to take in the beach environment. There were more floor to ceiling windows than walls which allowed for beautiful sunrises and sunsets will shades in the relevant places when needed. 2) The house was billed as a 4 bdr but actually had 5 bdr which was way more space than we needed. 3) The upper deck has beautiful ocean/beach views and a canopy that actually and uniquely gives one the feel of being at sea. 4) The pool/jacuzzi/lap pool were a great set up for relaxation. 5) The kitchen was spacious and fully functional. 6) The theater room was a great way for our family to enjoy some downtime. 7) There were two assistants nearby at all times and this was not at all expected. They were extremely helpful. It was as if they could read my mind when I needed help and I am not exaggerating. We had a wonderful time.

We are a Canadian couple from Calgary, Alberta Canada who purchased the lot in vista mar and built this home. It has been a labor of love and we are very proud of the result.

Why they chose this property

We wanted perfect weather and oceanfront. We think Panama is very much like Hawaii but better weather! We had also heard a great deal about Panama as the number 1 retirement destination worldwide and have not been disappointed. We just need to retire first to enjoy!

What makes this property unique

Each time I come back to this beautiful place and gaze out from the terrace at the ocean and sky as the sun is going down is an experience that literally brings tears to my eyes.
