The Villa
The house, now used for tourist accommodation, was built in 1811 and, following careful renovation, features all the characteristics of the farmhouses typical of this part of Tuscany, making the Podere Pilar farmhouse in Tuscany a fully usable and uniquely high-quality place.
Built on two floors, with a gross living area of approximately 400 square meters, the villa can comfortably accommodate a group of 10-14 adults in complete privacy.
The vacation home is rented without other guests.
When there are up to 10-11 guests, the following areas of the villa are reserved:
THE ENTIRE GROUND FLOOR: a beautiful 40 sq m panoramic porch, furnished with tables and chairs for up to 20 people, perfect for outdoor dining and lounging; a dining room for 10 people; a living room with satellite TV and fireplace; a large kitchen with fireplace, accessed from the porch. It has been completely renovated with high-quality furnishings and all appliances, including two refrigerators; a full bathroom with shower for all guests; from the corridor: first double bedroom to the south: TV, dressing room, full bathroom with shower, washing machine, air conditioning; a cot/crib can be added in this room; second double bedroom with two beds to the southeast: TV, dressing room, full bathroom with walk-in shower, air conditioning; On the northeast side, a charming room of approximately 25 square meters, suitable for guests with limited mobility, is furnished with a double bed/twin beds, an additional bed if needed, a kitchenette with a foldaway kitchenette, two burners, and a refrigerator, a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, a washing machine, and air conditioning.
The bedrooms have independent entrances from both the interior and the porch or garden.
ON THE FIRST FLOOR: Up the internal stairs, on the right: hallway, fourth double bedroom to the south with a full ensuite bathroom with shower, satellite TV, and air conditioning; fifth double bedroom to the southeast with a full ensuite bathroom with shower, TV, and air conditioning.

A 50 sq m studio apartment is available, with access from an external staircase on the northeast side and an internal staircase. It is fully and tastefully furnished and comprises:

B) Sleeping area with double bed, dressing room, and bathroom
Air conditioning.
N.B.: In August 2026, this studio apartment will be reserved for the owners; if necessary, the 75 sq m apartment on the first floor on the west side of the villa will be offered in exchange.

An additional 75 sq m apartment on the first floor, on the south, west, and northwest sides, is available, exceptionally and upon specific request. It comprises a south-facing kitchen equipped with all appliances, a west-facing bedroom with a double bed, a west- and northwest-facing living room with satellite TV, an anteroom with a washing machine, and a northwest-facing bathroom. Air conditioning in the bedroom and living room. Entrances are via an internal and external staircase, and the panoramic west-facing balcony is accessible.

.THE FARMHOUSE'S ENVIRONMENT AND SERVICES
At the rear of the farmhouse, nestled in an elevated position, is a panoramic 6x12m swimming pool, with depths ranging from 1.20 to 2.10m, accessible via a stone staircase or two separate paths. The pool features a hot and cold shower, a wide pool surrounded by plants and flowers, and a large gazebo with relaxation areas, complete with equipment for complete enjoyment from morning until sunset.
This Tuscan farmhouse also offers a fitness room equipped with exercise bikes, treadmills, and various exercise equipment. A professional bocce court with nighttime lighting is available for spending afternoons or evenings with friends. A large barbecue grill is also available, perfect for preparing dinners on the elegantly furnished porch facing the house's beautiful garden, complete with lemon trees and an ornamental olive tree. A large parking lot near the entrance gate is reserved for guests of the Podere Pilar farmhouse in Tuscany.
This farmhouse is located in the province of Pistoia
along the hilly Montalbano route that runs from Carmignano in the province of Prato to Serravalle Pistoiese.
The Montalbano area in Tuscany divides the area facing south, influenced by the Tyrrhenian Sea and maintaining a Mediterranean climate, from the area facing the Apennines to the north, with a more continental climate.
From the Podere Pilar farmhouse, located in the Montalbano hills, you can enjoy a very interesting and beautiful panorama: if we look east, we can see the Tuscan Apennine ridge, towards Florence; to the south is the plain up to San Miniato, near Pisa; to the southwest, the Fucecchio marshes, the hills near Livorno; To the west, just 500 meters away, lies the perfectly laid out medieval village of Montevettolini, overlooking olive groves and home to the Medici Villa, one of the many residences of the Medici dynasty. Beyond, to the west, lies the village of Montecarlo di Lucca, where excellent wine is produced; further away, the Apuan Alps, in the province of Massa and Carrara, can be seen.
The Farm
It is a typical Tuscan farm, cultivated with olive trees in terraced fields with approximately 800 trees covering over 4 hectares, where a highly prized olive oil is produced.

The Podere Pilar farmhouse, near the medieval village of Montevettolini, is close to the 18-hole Montecatini Golf course (2 km away), the Grotta Giusti spa in Monsummano (3 km away), and the Montecatini Terme spa complex (7 km away). The surrounding area also offers scenic trails ideal for hiking and mountain biking, municipal tennis courts, shops and supermarkets, and traditional restaurants and trattorias.
The Montecatini Terme train station is just 7 km away, while the Pisa and Florence airports are 55 and 45 km away, respectively. The Versilia sea is easily accessible, as are the forests of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.
