We booked Audley House for a family get-together and it was the perfect place for all 22 of us. The pool was the icing on the cake, although not warm enough for us to use when we arrived, but we had plenty of fun in it the following 2 days. The children all loved being able to have such a great space to play, there were multiple areas for all of the adults to sit and be together which is rare. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and the BBQ by the pool was an added bonus. We loved staying here.

Perfect weekend!

This property was ideal for us. We were celebrating a big birthday and couldn’t have asked for a better set up. The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful, the pool is a dream and everything is very well set up to cater for a large group.

Beautiful house

It was fantastic. The house is stunning and a very well equipped kitchen. There were a few issues with some of the toilet facilities (not closing properly/ 1 broken shower head) but there were plenty of other bathrooms to use so wasn't a huge problem. Beautiful place.... and we loved watching the pheasants that liked too visit the garden in the morning ha

Overall stay was very good with enough facilities does need some bathroom fixing aoart from that no other issues . Very private and comfortable home

Family and Bridesmaid hen gathering

This amazing time away was planned for family members and bridesmaids a week before our daughters wedding. My daughter in law found this beautiful house and I booked it immediately. Everyone had the most memorable time, the house, accommodation, space and privacy was just everything we could of wished for. We loved the outdoor pool and hot tub area and it felt like we could of been anywhere in the world. The sunshine did help during our stay, with some rain while swimming, all added to our fun time. We are still lost for words really about the whole weekend being together, sharing a very special occasion in such a superb property. Everyone would love to return and enjoy a second visit.

Beautiful house with lots of fun

A beautiful home which was perfect for a sunny weekend, the swimming pool and hot tub were a big hit. Jayne the booking coordinator has been extremely helpful throughout. Would definitely recommend this property!

Lovely house

The house was lovely and just right for my birthday celebrations. There were a couple of things that need seeing to: one of the light fittings in the kitchen diner area isn't working, and the fridge kept leaking. We think the latter issue might be because it needs defrosting so this might be advisable as soon as possible. The main problem was the heating and lack of hot water. The house simply did not warm up and many of my guests had to have cold showers. I imagine this is probably due to the age and size of the house, but the Hive wireless system gave the impression that the heating was quite modern and it didn't feel that way. Aside from those issues, the rooms were decorated amazingly and the huge dining room was just the right size for all my guests to sit together and eat. The pool was great, and having the miniature railway and fairy walk next door was wonderful for the children.

Beautiful house

Large house for our family gathering of 15. The house and gardens were true to the pictures. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and equipment. Bedrooms were spacious and beautiful. Children loved the pool and the games room with poker and backgammon was well used in the evening. Would highly recommend for a large get together

Lovely country residence. Very homely and peaceful. Lovely atmosphere, in beautiful surroundings.

The Practitioner Doctorate in Sustainability department, from the University of Surrey, recently held a Writing Retreat at Audley End, Saffron Walden. This large country residence was perfect for this. It is quiet, situated within a large garden with a lovely heated swimming pool at the top of the property. Bedrooms are large and airy, so there is space for sharing. With 4 to 5 reception rooms, there is lots of space to spread out. The formal dining room is a stunning setting for a celebration. Online food delivery went smoothly - Waitrose, Tesco's and an Aldi's in the area. Would happily return.

The property is amazing and facilities were good

Although the property owner Mark was approachable and helpful , the staff who came to check the property on the day of our exit was extremely rude and shouted us for taking a group photo in the garden.
