Welcome to Lochaber Lodges, a new development of luxury self-catering lodges to rent in the heart of the Highlands of Scotland. Our family run site offers you all the personal touches for a great getaway in a stunning location, with the assurance of Visit Scotland 4 star accreditation. We are situated 7 miles from Fort William on the banks of the Caledonian Canal with uninterrupted views over Anoach Mor and Ben Nevis. Whether you are looking for a tranquil and relaxing break, or a base to experience the Outdoor Capital of the UK- this is the ideal location.

Our new lodges are equipped to exceptional standards for year round occupancy, with double-glazing and central heating for the colder winter months, and external decking to enjoy the benefits of the long daylight hours in the summer. Our luxury lodges also includes flat screen TV/DVD to lounge and bedroom, integrated dishwasher and microwave, free WiFi access, and full washing and drying facilities.

Lovely Highland Retreat

Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this oasis in the highlands. Waking up every morning to the beautiful view from our living room window was enchanting. Our unit was clean, well equipped and comfortable. As we arrived later in the evening, the site was a bit tricky to find, but well worth the effort. We would highly recommend this holiday home. Everyone in our group agreed that they would love to return to this location sometime in the future.

The lodge worked well for our family and friends. The property management was very attentive and helpful. We didn't have any salt so he went on a search to find some for us. The only thing I would say that's difficult is that the road to get there is single lane so it was a little tricky to maneuver once in awhile. However we got to see a great view of Ben Nevis!

Peaceful and scenic location.

The house was in a beautiful location with great views of the mountains and canal. It's a bit out of the way (about 20-25 minutes from Fort William) which is fine if you have a car, but challenging for us since we were not able to get a car until our 3rd day there. The house was not as well-provisioned as we are used to (no soap, shampoo, dish sponge, extra toilet paper, etc.) though after staying at some other house rentals we realized that's more standard here in the UK. The host was very helpful and responsive and brought over extra toilet paper, salt, and a dish sponge shortly after we contacted him.

Nevis Lodge

The amenities and property made our stay very comfortable, the view from the lodge was probably the best factor, with Nevis in clear view. Everything was great, it’s quite a drive to any shops so that was the only down side and we made a few trips to the supermarket in Fort William but if you want a peaceful stay with a great view this is perfect.

A very comfortable holiday home with stunning views

The property is generally very comfortable with all the amenities one might need. The surrounding is very peaceful and quiet with a number of lodges well spaced out on a largish hill side, with plenty of car parking spaces. The view from the spacious sitting room and the patio / balcony is stunning with the Ben Nevis range in full view and the Caledonian Canal with boats sailing by at the bottom of the site. The Wi-Fi is good. The main bedroom with en suite bathroom is spacious and comfortable. The second double bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, but is very small with only a foot or so space between the bed and the walls. We didn't need the third bedroom (two single beds, also very small) and had to use it as an extension to our bedroom, otherwise we couldn't move in our bedroomat all. Both bathrooms were good. The heating system is good and responsive. The lodge was very clean with the exception of the fridge which smelled of stale food presumably from a previous let. We were two mature couples and the place was ideal for us. Fort William is fifteen minutes drive away and has all the shops and many eateries.
