This was a very nice space and we enjoyed the stay. Kitchen was up to date and well supplied with cookware. The living space was great. We enjoyed the extra space from the second bedroom and the small office next to the larger bedroom. The bathroom was small but met our needs though the tub could benefit from an update. The location was wonderful and we enjoyed dividing our time between local attracions, Boston and Cape Cod.
Great spot to visit with family and friends. Easy trip to Cape Cod, Providence or Boston, even commuter rail to Bean Town. Beach right down the street, quite neighborhood to walk a couple miles each morning.
We’ve stayed here before. The location is great! Plenty of room, has everything you need. The only unfortunate thing was that it was not as clean as it was previously. Really needs a thorough cleaning!

Lea,
Thanks for your comments. I’m sorry the house wasn’t as thoroughly cleaned as it should have been. I’ll definitely follow up on that.

We stayed in the house for 8 nights while visiting from the UK. It was perfect for our family of 4. Bigger than expected and very clean. The air conditioning was very effective and the beds were comfy. It was extremely well equipped with everything we could want. We used it as a base while visiting Boston and Cape Cod and found it easy to get everywhere that we wanted. Our boys also enjoyed the lovely little beach at the end of the road.
This home is just perfect...so beautiful and so close to the water! The neighborhood is adorable! Very comfy living room furniture and bed in master which I greatly appreciate with a bad back. It was centrally located to family we were visiting on the Cape and Abington. Just perfect! Would love to stay again. There was plenty of room to have family or friends over for dinner. Nice front porch...with table...chairs and grill. Lovely❤️

Thank you for your kind remarks and for leaving the house in perfect condition. Hope you’ll be able to return soon.
We enjoyed being close to Plymouth, the Cape and Boston while staying in a home that accomodated our son's wheelchair. Main living spaces were open and roomy with an extra lower counter for wheelchair and a ramp to wheel into house. Bathroom counter was accessible although bathroom was small. All was great except access into tub which we already were aware of.
Great for any person in wheelchair that can do some transferring.
We were in the area visiting family in nearby cities. This was a great spot outside of the busy hustle of Boston. We were not far from the train station to get into the city. Explored around several other places.
The house was a very clean and comfortable property for my family of 4. The kitchen was large and so was the living area. Appreciated the driveway for parking. The care takers were helpful and kind. Checked in on us during the noreaster and even dropped off an ice scraper (which we didn't need thankfully).
Hubby and I really enjoyed our stay here! The photos accurately depicted the house; the open floor plan makes this small house feel roomier. Everything is very clean and comfortable; the kitchen is very well stocked with a full sized side by side fridge and the pantry had some groceries that were appreciated by us until we got to the store. The bathroom is not handicap accomodating as it has a small bathtub and not enough room for a wheelchair to maneuver, but the shower was very clean, with good water pressure and hot water. The king bed in the master bedroom was comfortable, and the washer/dryer was a big bonus for us as we didn't have to go to the laundromat. The living room was roomy with comfortable seating for several people, cable Direct TV, On Demand, DVR, etc... and a gas fireplace. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, perfect for walking at any time. Gray's beach park is nearby, and the ocean is a very short walk away. Rocky Nook is convenient to Plymouth, Kingston, 45 minutes from Boston and 20 minutes from Cape Cod, with restaurants and stores nearby. Rte. 3 is a couple of miles away. The host was very quick to respond to questions and was very accomodating. We'll definitely be back again!
This was perfect for my elderly parents to stay as they await the renovation of their home to be complete. They were just a few miles away, convenient to drive to for pick or dropoff of items. Very comfortable living space and all worked out perfectly.
This Kingston home was a good location to visit our family in Plymouth, just minutes away.
We appreciated the clean and empty refrigerator and the nice new kitchen appliances, along with two empty large shelves in the pantry to use.
We needed to add a few things to our shopping list ( dishwasher tabs and hand pump soap for the bathroom) but this was not a problem.
The bed was nicely made and plenty of bathroom towels available.
We have stayed here before and our family is very comfortable at this home.
We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while we visited our grand children. Check- in was very easy and the house was perfect for the two of us. Everything was there that we needed for our month stay. The neighborhood was very safe as my wife would take her morning walks around the neighborhood and the bay. There were many restaurants in the area, especially in the Plymouth harbor area. Cathie was very easy to work with from requesting our rental to answering any questions we had. Rob was also very prompt in trying to fix the ice maker in the frig. He was a pleasure to talk to and we could see he cared a lot about the house and the way it looked. Hope to be back to this lovely house next year to visit grand kids again.
Very well equipped and comfortable beach cottage. Even on very cold nights we were warm.
We had a cool but sunny week. Enjoyed reading and tea or wine by the lighted fireplace at night.
I rented this property while my mom’s house was being renovated. The owners were amazing- kind, flexible and very helpful. It was a seamless transition with handicap access (a bonus!) and the house was neat, clean and inviting. It was supplied with everything we needed and more. Plenty of space, a nice fenced in yard and close to the beach for daily walks. We stayed in the off season - I bet it is that much more fabulous in the warmer months being so close to the beach! Would definitely recommend this property.
This house was perfect for my wife anf two young kids. The home is well stocked with everything that you need and it has a beutiful great room off of the kitchen.
We stayed at this home over the Christmas holiday to celebrate with family that live in the area. The open concept of the living room, dining room, and kitchen made entertaining and togetherness very easy. We hung stockings on the mantle of the fireplace (with care, of course!), and enjoyed cooking the Christmas dinner in the well-stocked kitchen (gas stove/oven, large french door refrigerator, counter microwave, dishwasher, and plenty of plates, silverware, pots, pans, etc.). The two bedrooms (one king room, the other with two twin beds) were perfect for my wife and I and our two boys. Plenty of books to read and puzzles to put together (we made a 1000 pc travel puzzle donation as well!). Our hostess/host were available for anything needed and even offered to bring over an additional table for Christmas dinner (my father-in-law brought one with him instead, but the offer was very appreciated). I was concerned with only having one bathroom (an additional half bath would have been nice), but fortunately it was not a problem. The cottage has a washer/dryer, so overpacking is not necessary as one can launder clothes as needed. As it was December, the weather was a bit too nippy for visits to the beach, but we did note that the house was just up the street (we did drive down there just to see it) and very convenient for those who are looking for to spend time there. As our holiday was so very much enjoyed by the entire family, I feel confident that we will be spending more time in this quaint cottage. Thank you for making it available!
Just returned from a wonderful week-long stay at Cathie's beach house - I honestly couldn't have asked for more. The home was comfortable, cozy, and very clean. The kitchen was so well-appointed and we had a great time making dinner at home a few nights. The neighborhood itself was amazing, I went for a walk to the beach and around Rocky Nook nearly every single day and felt very safe; a lot of the homes were decorated for Halloween and it was a very charming atmosphere. :) Check in and out was flawless, and Rob was extremely helpful and available for the few questions I had during the stay. All in all I would highly recommend Cathie's house to anyone looking for a quiet and cozy New England getaway, and I hope to return next fall for another visit!
This is the second time my husband and I have been fortunate enough to do a month long stay in this beautiful home!
It feels like our home away from home. Everything you could need for a wonderful stay is provided. Great, lovely location!
Catherine's lovely and welcoming home in a friendly beachside community in Kingston, MA was just what we had hoped for at the end of our 3 week New England vacation. The house was spotless, the kitchen had everything we could possibly need, and the beds very comfortable.
I am especially keyed in to aesthetics, and this house fulfilled my need for attractive surroundings very successfully. We felt welcome in the home, with little extras like kleenex boxes and softsoap dispensers, and plenty of space for both hanging our clothes and putting them in dresser drawers.
The neighborhood was very quiet in the evenings, and we felt safe there. My only minor concern was intermittent noise during the day from the next-door neighbor revving his vehicle loudly. Fortunately I take a white noise machine with me, so it did not hinder my naps!
The short walk down the street to the beach with the expansive view of the bay was more than we had hoped for, especially since on a couple of days the weather was like summer. Jim even went snorkeling.
All in all a five-star experience. Thanks so much, Catherine, and thanks to Rob for being available for check-in info by phone. We hope to return some time.
Rocky Nook is a beautiful place with friendly neighbours. The house is perfect. Nothing is missing. 5 stars minimum. The place is perfect to visit Boston, Foxborough (if you are a Patriots fan 😉), and Cape Cod. We liked it so much. When you open the door you feel immediately like home.
